I contribute to Ubuntu in my spare time, and if I had to try and learn GIMP or Inkscape, I wouldn't have any time left to contribute. And what are the real advantages of switching to either of those programs? It won't make my art any better, but it will make some people feel better, even though the users of the software largely will not care or even know. I'm thankful, however, that a lot of people have responded to this by saying that they're okay with the usage of proprietary software. I just wanted to make sure that this list won't actively discourage users to contribute if they do. It's actually this reason why I haven't started contributing to Ubuntu since around the Hoary cycle. I just didn't feel like I belonged in what seemed to be a small and strict community. Cara, já tinha ouvido falar no VistaFS... é a tal história da M$ mesmo... não tenho mais detalhes técnicos que você... Provavelmente as distros deste ano ou do ano que vem já virão com suporte a sistemas de arquivos mais novos e mais seguros. O que estou esperando é o suporte total ao NTFS. O ruim é que a M$ tá preparando a entrada do WinFS para o versão posterior ao Vista (já desistiram de colcar isso no Vista). Se cumprirem, aí complica, porque este sistema de arquivos será tão fechado (terá criptografia cujo algoritmo já está patenteado pela M$) que dificilmente será possível um suporte open source a ele (mesmo que se consiga quebrar a criptografia estaremos infringindo uma patente). Pessoal, Já tinha lido em outro sites que o Ubuntu consegue montar algumas unidades de pendrive. O meu, que não é de nenhuma marca conhecida (BAK Japan, assim está na caixa dele) o Ubuntu consegue reconhecer que é um disposito de armazenagem USB, cria inclusive os ícones na pasta computador, MAS, ele não consegue montar a unidade. Alguém já teve algum problema assim? Alguém já conseguiu montar uma unidade de pendrive? Galera também estou tendo esse problema de alinhamento, minha motherboard é toda onboard. Ainda vou detectar qual... O que deve estar acontecendo é que o driver não funciona legal com a placa, já que não é o driver da própria placa. Tente configurar o linux para usar modo VESA, que é um modo generalizado que trabalha com quase todas as placas de vídeo. No entanto não faço idéia como configurar isso.
