[Bug 255741] [NEW] network-manager-vpnc does not work with NM 0.7
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager-vpnc Now that network-manager was upgraded to 0.7, the vpnc plugin no longer functions. I cannot create a vpn profile, nor are my existing vpn profiles (created under NM 0.6) functional. These packages (and their *-gnome pairs) probably need to be rebuilt for NM 0.7. [Bug 247729] Re: Wine should install (some) fonts system wide in a separate package
Two things could be wrong with that font 1. WineTahoma is a Bitstream Vera Sans derivative, it must have the same license. See the copyright notice in the ttf file: Copyright (c) 2004 Larry Snyder, Based on Bitstream Vera Sans Copyright (c) 2003 by Bitstream, Inc. Font renamed in accordance with former's license. Please do not contact Bitstream Inc. for any reason regaurding this font. Yet the license is LGPL. 2. Some characters are poorly drawn, this could be really bad at some sizes but turns out fine for Wine's usage. The Bitstream Vera Sans glyphs have been modified to look narrower and thus match Tahoma more. Some look really strange, as if only part of them add been condensed: '5', '6', '9', 'a', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'g', 'p'. I'm not sure this offers much when compared with DejaVu Sans Condensed, except for having some bitmapped sizes. This should prevent problems like loading a new version of the semantic package without first loading the packages that it depends on. It should help to future-proof us against bug reports to this effect. It will also provide a slight speed boost during compilation, and prohibits 3rd-party packages from messing up our build (Closes: #484667, #440893). * debian/patches: - Manage this using git. * debian/rules: - Remove use of dpatch in favor of a simple patch invocations. - Add genpatches command for the maintainer to call to generate the contents of debian/patches. - Fix lintian warning about binary-arch. * debian/semantic.emacsen-install: - Don't compile semantic-example.el, since emacs-snapshot has issues with it. -- Bhavani Shankar [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu, 07 Aug 2008 19:55:22 +0530 ** Changed in: cedet (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- Please merge cedet-1.0pre4(universe) from debian unstable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/255743 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 255734] [NEW] OO calc adds spurious columns to Office 2003 XML files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org I'm attaching an Office 2003 XML file created by the BIRT save as XLS feature. When I open it in OpenOffice, extra blank columns show up between the data-columns (that is, data is in columns B,D and F), and most of the rows are two lines high because of wrapping. When I open it in Excel 2003, the data-columns are B, C and D, and most of the rows are one line high. If I open the file in Excel and save it again, and then open that file with OpenOffice, the column-spacing looks just like in Excel. Ubuntu version...
