[Bug 1777586] Re: Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS aacraid error
I to want to thank you for your hard work. It is appreciated. For an update. I was able to get a workaround, which is not ideal and one that puts my system at risk. The server setup was two drives mirrored, RAID1, via software RAID. This was for the Operating System only. I have the Hardware RAID PERC6 Dell Server, RAID 5, with three drives. This scenario is what precipitated the error messages. When I removed the software RAID for the O/S and am now running it via a single SSD drive, the errors went away. I will look to update with the fix and reimplement the Software RAID and see if this issue is fixed. [Bug 1834226] Re: update-notifier doesn't respect "automatically check for updates: Never"
In the updates tab, I keep all three boxes checked under "Install updates from:", because I like to manually run `sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade` whenever I have a good stable release of software and feel like stomaching a raft of system changes. In past versions of ubuntu going back 'Dapper Drake', I'd change the setting for "automatically check for updates" and it was generally good about respecting this setting from my recollection. I'm not sure which release changed this but it's for sure worse, the updater tries to run in the background, and I've noticed it's easy to repeat as I've installed 19.04 on various machines. I've got laptops and desktops alike with 19.04 installed, and they all have this problem. I tried letting it actually do the updates, but that didn't work so I generally cancel it. This non-deterministic behavior is nonsensical. When update-notifier runs, check this flag and quit if it's set to 'Never'. There's really nothing else to debug, is there? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1834226 Title: update-notifier doesn't respect "automatically check for updates: Never" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-properties/+bug/1834226/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

A bit of necromancy on an old bug report, but in case someone else is seeing this: Yes, this is an SDL issue, but DOSBox could instruct SDL to work correctly. [Bug 1424843] Re: Not able to open several menus in gajim
This very much needs to be fixed and has not been. It's impossible to enable OMEMO or other plugins, making Gajim pretty much useless. Screenshots attached; there needs to be a "Plugins" menu _somewhere_ and there is not. I got bounced from the Gajim repo when I tried to report this, Ubuntu needs to fix it. ** Attachment added: "Gajim menu not showing up" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gajim/+bug/1424843/+attachment/5273801/+files/gajim%20menu%20missing.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424843 Title: Not able to open several menus in gajim To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gajim/+bug/1424843/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1829829] Re: Ubuntu CI has been flaky for a week
Good to know! Thank you! Would it also be possible to mark the "upstream" test (https://salsa.debian.org/systemd- team/systemd/blob/master/debian/tests/control#L113) "flaky" or turn it off altogether? We run it on CentOS and Arch anyway so it should be safe. On Ubuntu CI it's particularly flaky and I don't think it makes much sense to keep running it there until some stuff like timeouts isn't adjusted to VMs on the Ubuntu CI infrastructure. I think at this point it would make sense to make sure that Ubuntu-specific tests are in good shape. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1829829 Title: Ubuntu CI has been flaky for a week To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1829829/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1834375] Re: Gaia.com videos unsupported
Thanks for the response, Oliver. Today, the results are different. There is no error message, but the Gaia videos will not start. That is, there is no response to a left click on the little GUI in the center of the video display image. Also, I would like to comply with your request but have no clue where to start. [Bug 1834507] [NEW] Attempting to load sss.so in Bionic fails due to SMB_IDMAP_INTERFACE_VERSION mismatch
Public bug reported: When attempting to load the sss.so module, on a Bionic box running samba-* on 4.7 and sssd-* 1.16.1, one sees the following in syslog: winbindd[13099]: load_module_absolute_path: Module '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba/idmap/sss.so' loaded winbindd[13099]: Failed to register idmap module. winbindd[13099]: The module was compiled against SMB_IDMAP_INTERFACE_VERSION 5, winbindd[13099]: current SMB_IDMAP_INTERFACE_VERSION is 6. This issue has been reported before [1], and apparently it made it into 1.16.2+ version of sssd, but not into 1.16.1, which is shipped with Bionic. Is it possible to backport the mentioned fix into 1.16.1/Bionic? Thanks!
