[Bug 1497871] Re: SIP auth fails with gcc 5.x build
Hello, I am/was the maintainer of sflphone-kde. Sorry to hear it doesn't work anymore. If you use Ubuntu 15.04+, there is a KDE5/KF5 successor called "Ring-KDE". The support for some SIP provider is still a little buggy, but bug reports are accepted and should get fixed. My estimate is a that it work with about 60% of providers that worked with SFLphone-KDE. The UI is mostly the same (for KDE, Gnome has a new one closer to the KDE one). Here are the links to the source code: git clone https://el...@gerrit-ring.savoirfairelinux.com/ring-daemon # Daemon git clone https://el...@gerrit-ring.savoirfairelinux.com/ring-lrc # Shared client code by the Gnome/KDE/OSX/Windows clients git clone http://anongit.kde.org/ring-kde # The KDE client The vendor hosting SFLphone has closed the project and no longer accept fixes/contributions. I would fix the issues with GCC5 and the newer versions of pjprojects, but I really have nowhere to push the code to. On top of that, the Ring project is probably more future proof than the sflphone pile of dubious (but mature and field-tested) code. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1497871 Title: SIP auth fails with gcc 5.x build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sflphone/+bug/1497871/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This bug was fixed upstream. We don't plan to backport the fix at this point. We may try to push 1.4.1 or 1.4.2 as stable update for 14.04 later this year, after the Ubuntu 14.10 is out. [Bug 1316612] Re: SFLPhone-KDE will freeze if an Akonadi request deadlock
Hello, thanks for taking a look An automated test case is not possible (as it will freeze instead of failing) so here is a manual one: 1) Add some "vcard" contacts in KAddressbook (necessary) 2) Import a gmail contact list in KAddressbook (necessary) 3) Open the old sflphone-kde client 4) It will freeze 5) Install the new package 6) Enjoy this softphone! Users alreayd tested the .deb above. The only difference is that it is based upon the stable PPA rather than the upsteam (debian) sflphone daemon package. Other than that the package is identical. [Bug 1316612] [NEW] SFLPhone-KDE will freeze if an Akonadi request deadlock
Public bug reported: Hello I am the SFLPhone-KDE main developer and maintainer. So users report that the app freeze when loading certain Akonadi collections. After some work, I reproduced the issue. It is caused by an upstream (akonadi) bug, but the API I use for the call is not safe (the synchronous API). While it worked fine for years, this was never a good idea and now the users have to pay the price. I will attach a patch to replace the call by its asynchronous equivalent. I have also contacted the Akonadi team to see if the upstream bug can be fixed. It is not fixed, the max CPU is still 8 on 9.04 linux-images-server, you have to add CONFIG_X86_BIGSMP=y and 2 or 3 other in kernel config to fix this bug, just changing the number will NOT work. [Bug 211815] [NEW] Wrong resolution detection on ViewSonic G75f
Public bug reported: Type: Crt monitor Model: ViewSonic G75f Graphic card: Nvidia GeForce 6100 (on board) Standard resolution: 1024x768 Maximum detected by: Ubuntu 800x600 Bug since: 6.10 (was working fine with earlier versions) Comment: Everything look too big for this screen, usage as a learning tool in this computer science lab (85 of those monitor) is almost impracticable. We still use 6.06LTS release but want to upgrade. Is it possible to disable the maximum resolution for this monitor. It will be by default 1800 by ? (maximal resolution of the GeForce 6100 card) but it will be better than 800x600 because we will be able to adjust the resolution. It is possible after installing few packages and tweak xorg.conf to use 1024x768, but for a student, new to Linux, these tweak are not easy nor helping them to adopt Ubuntu as their primary operating system. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Wrong resolution detection on ViewSonic G75f https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211815 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
