[Bug 1879633] Re: Killer 500s (QCA6390) WLAN/BT [17cb:1101] unavailable
@andch Thanks for reporting this progress so us 9310 owners can solve this eventually! I tried this but got only minor progress. Update to 1.2.5 firmware as you advised. Installed kernel 5.10.12 with mainline but can only see wifi list (better than before) but not connect. Bluetooth is not working either. Also tried 5.6.0-1036-oem 5.6.0-1042-oem Both locks up on the login screen and forces me to do 4 second hard power down. I could not find the package you mentioned, which PPA did you get this kernel so I can try it out? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1879633 Title: Killer 500s (QCA6390) WLAN/BT [17cb:1101] unavailable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1879633/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 460312] Re: Karmic cannot access harddrive partitions
I solved my issues by removing the raid configuration from my disks in the ICHR utility. In Jaunty, the drives where available as independent drives dispite the raid, which is not the case in Karmic. After the raid was removed, both disks are recognized by karmic as expected. This seems more like a difference in how Karmic handles raid setups compared to Jaunty and is not a bug. I will not investigate this any deeper but will happily answer questions about my findings so far. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New = Invalid -- Karmic cannot access harddrive partitions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 278259] Re: [i945] Intrepid ibex does not configure intel 945 properly
I tried reproducing the bug using the Jaunty Alpha-2 live cd. I can report a few interesting findings. Startup (initial) configuration works fine. It properly detects both monitors and configures them as mirror where the image is cropped on the smaller (wide-screen) monitor. This is expected behaviour to me. Reconfiguration of monitors shows detection works fine. All modes are properly detected and configurable (at this point) in the utility. Now, when I configure the two screens side-by-side and apply settings I get a message that xorg.conf must be modified and I must relogin. After relogin the system freezes (hard) at random point while the desktop is loading. I have tried this with the latest updates, no change. [Bug 278259] Re: Intrepid ibex does not configure intel 945 properly
I'm reopening this bug as I have more info on it. I discovered that the error occurs when my tv-set is connected on startup. The external screen has an odd resolution of 1280x768 which is not supported by the internal display. The graphics card does not allow a virtal size enough for the two screens and ubuntu sets the screen mode to mirror and picks the resolution 1024x768, probably the largest common resolution. When mirroring, this cannot be changed, which is a greater issue. It however works perfectly on hardy, where the external screen just looses a few pixel on the top and bottom of the image. The next error occurs when I disconnect the external screen and change the resolution to normal. The screen gets a black area to the right where the mouse pointer can go, but not the gnome-panel. Maximizing windows aligns them with the edge of the to the black area. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Incomplete -- Intrepid ibex does not configure intel 945 properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/278259 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 158453] Re: [compiz] System bell causes blur to lose acceleration
I've tested it on Intrepid, using the live CD and upgrading the system with the latest updates. I couldn't find the system-bell-blur config this time so I tried reproducing it using blur window and motion blur instead. I tried reproducing twice. First it bugged out right away, second time I had too fiddle a while for it to happen. Motion blur does not pose too much problem, but window blur, when it kicks in, is much worse than before. All changes in graphics lead to black areas with a few bright pixels in them. Restarting X (the hard way) does not disable the configuration and I can't figure out how to disable it afterwards since the graphical interface is rendered unusable. [Bug 157878] Re: Mouse cursor jumps after closing and opening laptop lid
Ok. I'm opening up this bug again right away. The behaviour when this happens has changed over time, probably with updates, but I have not been able to find when it happend. Now, my mouse is not jumping around anymore, it is just flickering for about 5 seconds (2-3 flicks per second) efter opening the lid. Also, the gnome panels (I have one above and one under the desktop) flickers! I am running Hardy, upgraded install, with the latest updates. I also tried this from the 8.10 beta live CD and it has the same symptoms. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: Invalid = Incomplete -- Mouse cursor jumps after closing and opening laptop lid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 278259] [NEW] Intrepid ibex does not configure intel 945 properly
Public bug reported: Running from the intrepid ibex live cd, the intel 945GM graphics card is not correctly configured. The machine starts up in 1024x768 screen resolution (should be 1280x768 by default on this screen). The configurator gui only offers 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768.
