Hi Greg, I think you're confusing Ubuntu SSO client with Ubuntu One. The former is a generic auth service, that uses the Ubuntu logo (despite what app is calling it). The latter, is a specific app that uses the sso client as a service, and the logo can't be customized when calling SSO (see for example how the Software Center uses SSO as well). The logo that is used by the SSO client service is the generic 'ubuntu- logo', which is not updated in the package that provides it. The ubuntu- sso-client package could provide a icon file itself, but since the ubuntu-logo is system wide available, I think is a better solution to update that logo instead of shipping a custom one. I've also notice that dbus is slower since beta1, which is generating having a longer wait when contacting any service. The screen that you refer to is the splash screen, which is shown until we have the U1 credentials.
