[Bug 1951686] [NEW] USB drives turns read-only when emptying Trash
Public bug reported: Ubuntu version: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Nautilus version: 1:3.36.3-0ubuntu1.20.04.1 Overview: Nautilus appears to move files to Trash when deleting files, regardless of what drive it happens on. This threw me off for a bit as I never expected deleted files to be moved into trash on a USB drive, I expected it to permanently delete. Expected behaviour: After moving to Trash, when I empty the Trash, it should actually empty and reclaim storage space. Actual behaviour: When emptying Trash, the entire USB drive turns read-only. This happened regardless of what USB drive I tested. The Trash, also, doesn't actually get emptied. Trying to delete the `.Trash-1000` folder in Terminal shows that it is indeed read-only file system. Thinking it was corrupted I put the USB drive in my MacBook Pro and it works there. Deleted `.Trash-1000` on the MBP and now it works. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1951686 Title: USB drives turns read-only when emptying Trash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1951686/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

RE: [Bug 1597048] Re: walinuxagent systemd unit files updates
Hi Robie, The problem is to address the scenario where extensions installed rely on the Agent running, such as Backups, Security scanning extns etc. If the agent stops there needs to be a way this is automatically restarted. -U is for logging RestartSec=5 is just if it crashes wait 5s before it restarts. Similar problem, If I turn on Desktop-Effects in Feisty then open a terminal I get the screen come up but no text. If the terminal was already open then text displays as normal. Also trying to switch tabs in Firefox with Desktop Effects on doesn't change the display on screen. I am on a HP Pavilion zd8010us laptop with an ATI x600 video card, 1Gb Mem and 3GHz Intel Hyperthreading Processor. ** Attachment added: Terminal Windows http://librarian.launchpad.net/6608882/Screenshot.png -- With compiz running in feisty, text doesn't display in Run Application dialog https://launchpad.net/bugs/82806 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 69387] Re: Default config DocumentRoot points to /var/www/.
Sorry, I do not agree. After installing the ubuntu version of apache2 everything under /var/www/ is exposed to the public. It is not true that the apache2 config of debian sarge does the same. It contains one important line that makes a big difference, namely RedirectMatch ^/$ /apache2-default/. -- Default config DocumentRoot points to /var/www/. https://launchpad.net/bugs/69387 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
