[Bug 1309744] [NEW] Light Locker blanks the screen when playing video
Public bug reported: On XUbuntu, the new Light Locker puts the screen black when playing video as if there was no activity. That is supposed to happen when the user is away from keyboard but in the case of playing a video, no mouse or keyboard activity may be registered for two hours and still the screen must remain active. This didn't happen with the old screen saver. This applies to both and VLC and Parole. [Bug 1227174] [NEW] Window List Applet does not show windows from the monitor it belongs to
Public bug reported: The task list applet that shows the opened windows can be configured to show windows from all monitors. When disabled, it does not as expected. It is supposed to show only the windows on the monitor the applet is in. Instead, shows the windows from the first monitor. To reproduce: - Set up a multi monitor desktop with two monitors. - Put a panel with a Window List applet in each of the monitors. - Disable the option to show windows from all desktops (which is enabled by default). Try opening, closing or moving some windows. It will work the first time but will fail everytime after reboot, making the window list in the secondary monitor show the windows in the primary. Public bug reported: On Unity, when I start an application that is not pinned to the launcher, its icon does not appear at the end of the list as expected, instead it pushes the last pinned icon down. For instance, if the pinned icons are: Firefox, Terminal, Nautilus. After starting Rhythmbox it goes like: Firefox, Terminal, Rhythmbox, Nautilus When everyone would expect: Firefox, Terminal, Nautilus, Firefox Just in case it has something to do with it: I have configured the launcher to hide mounted devices from the launcher. [Bug 884597] [NEW] search as you type not working properly
Public bug reported: Open a browser window, for example your home directory. Make sure the files area has focus. Type 'doc' to select the Documents folder; Documents is highlighted. Pres Enter to open the Documents folder; the contents of your documents' folder are shown. Type the name of another file of older you can see to select it. You'll notice that: - the previous search is shown and whatever you type is appended to it. - the backspace key does not delete characters in the search as you type textbox, it moves to the upper folder instead. [Bug 882366] [NEW] Title bar changes are not reflected immediately
Public bug reported: I saw this on gnome-terminal and nautilus: If the title bar changes, the changes are not reflected on the titlebar. For instance: Open a terminal and go to the menu/Terminal/Set title. Change the title. You expect the new title to show but it does not. If you maximize and restore the window, the new title will eventually show up. Similar thing happens on Nautilus, open a folder, then move around your folders: you will see the title bar does not show the current folder's name, but the initial one. [Bug 769234] Re: Notifications are delayed if contacts send messages too fast
@Martin Pitt : I tested the way this works on Unity and I'm impressed: It works great! --at least with one contact sending several messages. However, testing the thing more thoroughly -- and I don't think this will truly be a problem -- I noticed that if two people send one message per second or so the second person's messages are not notified at all. MSN messenger responds to this with several notifications, one on top of the other. Empathy 2.34.0 from the -proposed repository seems to handle this quite well. The fix is good for me and the quick response to this bug was great. [Bug 753771] Re: dropdown menus crash compiz
This bug has made me believe Compiz was unstable when in fact it is produced by the settings I'm using. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity The menu that appears when you press the Windows key or Alt-F2 does not read tildes properly. If you type 'adiós', it reads 'adi'os'. I tried this with the Spain keyboard layout. This is the type of bugs english speakers tend to miss. [Bug 753771] [NEW] dropdown menus crash compiz
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz Every time I click on a menu item or combobox. Compiz crashes. It happens both in gnome and unity. However, dragging to choose a menu item (holding the mouse button down while moving it to the desired menu item) does not seem to produce the problem.
