[Bug 1930541] Re: Maven 3.6.3-1 fails to run with OpenJDK 16 and 17
Can we expect a fix? Java 17 is a LTS release, so a working version of Maven would be very helpful. Or do we have to wait half a year for Ubuntu 22.04 to arrive? The GSSAPI protocol includes a mechanism, a subprotocol named IAKERB, for the client to tunnel/proxy through the server/acceptor instead of directly communicating with the KDC. (This is useful if e.g. the GSSAPI initiator does not have full network access but the acceptor does.) Problem: The formatting of the IAKERB messages is incorrect. Every draft of the IAKERB protocol I have been able to find defines the IAKERB-HEADER structure to have a field "Realm" which is a UTF8String, like this: IAKERB-HEADER ::= SEQUENCE { target-realm [1] UTF8String, However, observed protocol exchanges tag the Realm field as an OCTET STRING. I believe the bug is in src/lib/krb5/asn.1/asn1_k_encode.c near line 1146, where the DEFFIELD(iakerb_header_1,...) macro is invoked with "ostring_data". I think it should be invoked with "utf8_data" instead. Reproduction: I observed this using Firefox attempting to authenticate with a webserver using the "Negotiate" protocol. The first Negotiate message from the browser to the server contains: GSSAPI token (RFC2743 3.3); mechanism 1.3.6.1.5.5.2 (SPNEGO) innerToken is a NegTokenInit (RFC4178 4.2.1) mech = 1.3.6.1.5.2.5 (IAKERB) mechToken is a (wrapped) GSSAPI token (RFC2743 again) with mech = 1.3.6.1.5.2.5 innerToken is the concatenation of: TOK_ID 05 01 (IAKERB) IAKERB-HEADER a Kerberos TGS-REQ Dumping the IAKERB-HEADER with `openssl asnparse` produces: 0:d=0 hl=2 l= 12 cons: SEQUENCE 2:d=1 hl=2 l= 10 cons: cont [ 1 ] 4:d=2 hl=2 l= 8 prim: OCTET STRING :.ORG As you can see the realm (.ORG) is tagged as OCTET STRING, rather than being tagged as UTF8String. Public bug reported: I also asked a question on the ubuntu forum: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2342734 I use Kubuntu 16.04.1 LTS, exfat-utils 1.2.3-1 and fuse-exfat 1.2.3-1 The SD card is an exfat formatted SanDisk Extreme 64GB SDXC card I can look at the jpg's on the card using Gwenview and browse the card using Nautilus. However, when I try to copy some jpg's (be it 8 files or 500) from the SD card to my HDD using Nautilus or Konqueror or ... some of the jpg's get corrupted. They become incomplete. The strange thing is that their size in MB is correctly displayed. But the thumbnail of a corrupted jpg is partly gray, always the lower part. Sometimes a fraction is grayed, another time almost everything. Creating thumbnails in Nautilus takes like forever and trying to look at a jpg in Gwenview turns the program to an almost complete standstill. Copying files from the fat32 formatted 8GB SDHC card in my old camera is instantaneous and without any problem. Copying the files from the 64GB SDXC to an USB connected HDD using windows 7 is swift and without anything going wrong. ** Affects: fuse-exfat (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: copying exfat jpg sdxc -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1640934 Title: copying jpg from exfat SD to ext4 HDD corrupts some jpg To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fuse-exfat/+bug/1640934/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1234565] [NEW] serious opengl bug in 13.04
Public bug reported: Tested on two notebooks. Bug appears only in the 13.04 version. 12.10 is OK. Dubblechecked by booting a 12.10 version on USB stick (on the 13.04 notebooks). Problem: OpenGl shading language (GLSL) uniform variables seem to stay undefined, or lose their value somewhere. Tested with a WebGl app as well as a C++ (Qt) application. This bug is also reported a driver issue. If it is related to this driver issue, why is the (old) buggy driver re-installed with 13.04? thanks. [Bug 1176818] [NEW] upgrade to 13.6: wrong/strange behavior opengel es vertex shader
Public bug reported: Graphics: Intel® 965GM I suspect (I am not a mesa etc. specialist) sth wrong in the mesa lib, because opengl ES isn't working correctly any more. I had a WebGL app running nicely in FireFox and Chromium (Ubuntu 12.10). I upgraded from 12.10(64bits) to 13.4 (64bits). Now it does not work correctly any more in FireFox as well as Chromium. No errors, but serious wrong behavior. It still works correctly on other machines (ubuntu 12.04/FireFox, macBook/FireFox, windows/Chromium). The bug turns up in the following lines of the vertex shader (coming from javascript/WebGL) --- uniform mediump vec3 criticalHeights; attribute mediump vec3 vertex; ... if(criticalHeights[2] vertex.z ) {varAmbientLight = redAmbientLight; varDiffuseLight = redDiffuseLight;}; } --- criticalHeights[2] and vertex.z vary between -100 and + a few hundred. the 'if' statement always returns true, even with extreme values like -100.0 vertex.z or criticalHeights[2] 100.0 Please find attached output of glxinfo. [Bug 1080328] [NEW] On double click, Nautilus opens the file with the wrong application
Public bug reported: Observed behaviour Assume I have a file called screenshot.png and double click it; Nautilus will start the image viewer. If I omit the extension, Nautilus is clever enough to figure it out and open it with the image viewer. If I'm however stupid enough to rename the file to screenshot.txt, Nautilus decides that it's no longer an image and opens with a texteditor (or attempts to). Expected behaviour Nautilus should use the file content to determine the type of file and the associated application instead of extensions. Reported for Ubuntu 12.04; also observed with an up-to-date 10.04 and also reported to be the case on 13.04 (see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+question/214355) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: nautilus 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-33.52-generic 3.2.31 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-33-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu15 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Nov 18 13:58:04 2012 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus GsettingsChanges: org.gnome.nautilus.window-state geometry '1178x772+740+399' InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Precise Pangolin - Release amd64 (20120823.1) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_ZA:en PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_ZA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug precise running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080328 Title: On double click, Nautilus opens the file with the wrong application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1080328/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1065167] Re: no mnemonics for items in bookmarks menu
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 913981 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/913981 Sorry Radu (?), I think you misunderstand. I expect a mnemonic for each item in the bookmarks menu. If I bookmark e.g. launchpad.net/ubuntu and the description in the bookmark menu is 'Ubuntu in launchpad', I'm used to the situation where I can quickly access it using altB followed by 'U'. And the mnemonic is always the first character of the description. If I have multiple entries starting with U (e.g. 'ubuntu forums' and 'ubuntu in launchpad') I press 'U' till the desired one is selected and press enter to load it. If my memory serves me well, any version of Firefox that I have used under WinXP, Win7 and Ubuntu 6.06/8.04/10.04 behaved like this. It's now with Ubuntu 12.04 in combination with Firefox 15.0.1 that this functionality has changed. I will check a standard and up-to-date 10.04 install tomorrow (time permitting) and post back in about 12 hours. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1065167 Title: no mnemonics for items in bookmarks menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1065167/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
