I would prefer to wait until this is fixed in intrepid-updates since
intrepid-proposed is mainly for testing. But I'm happy that this is now
fixed in intrepid-proposedd. Thanks for testing this.

I just updated to Intrepid-Proposed and there were some language
updates. Now I cannot find any translation mistakes in Pidgin any more.
Shall one set this to "Fix Released"? Or wait until it is fixed with a
"normal" update?

I just imported the Upstream translation and fixed the translation of
»Connect« to »Verbinden«. This change will hopefully included in the
next update of the languega packages. Sorry for the late reaction on
this bug report.

or just check the translation in Launchpad Translations.
But I think you are right: »connect« is correctly translated as
»Verbinden« in the upstream translation. I would like to check this once
more and then import this translation as an upstream translation.

You may correct and update the translations and open a ticket here:

You may also add a link to the ticket you open in the pidgin bug tracker
so that we all can follow the further development in the Pidgin Upstream
Project. As soon as there is an updated translation that is accepted by
