[Bug 482300] Re: Mouse behaviour on notebooks
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Two peripheral to control a single pointer is confusing. But this is what happens when, on a notebook, you plug a mouse. In this case, the touchpad should be disabled because, if I connect a mouse, is obvious that I want to use it and only it. A notification and a tray icon should appear to inform the user. The touchpad should be re-enabled with the mouse disconnection or by clicking to the icon. [Bug 646634] Re: gnome-shell's super-titlebar does not update with window title
I'm sorry about this misunderstanding, but what I'm really saying is that it may be a bug in Firefox because it's the only application that uses a window title for the application title. All other applications have this distinction (app: gedit, window: Untitled Document 1 - gedit) so it's not actually a bug in gnome-shell. ** Summary changed: - gnome-shell's super-titlebar does not update with window title + Firefox incorrectly uses the window title as the application title in Gnome 3 ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed ** Package changed: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) = firefox (Ubuntu) -- Firefox incorrectly uses the window title as the application title in Gnome 3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/646634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I've installed the iofix+19.28 kernel for Lucid from Brian Rogers. So far, it seems to work. When the machine is booting up, it still seems to have the problem, however. iotop (which now works appropriately) reports the [kdmflush] service as consuming 99.99% I/O when the system is unresponsive, but I haven't noticed it in the past 24hrs or so (my uptime is less than 48hrs currently). I will continue to monitor, and I'll post back with results. -- Heavy Disk I/O harms desktop responsiveness https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 646634] Re: Firefox incorrectly uses the window title as the application title in Gnome 3
I'm not convinced this is a Firefox bug. Firefox sets WM_NAME to the the string it wants to be in the titlebar (which is correct, and also what every other application is doing). The applications aren't setting any super name or application title as you call it, but gnome-shell looks like it is matching windows to desktop files, and using the name in the desktop file to display in the panel. However, the matching fails for Firefox for some reason. Other things like Docky correctly match Firefox windows to its desktop file, so I'm reassigning it back to gnome-shell ** Package changed: firefox (Ubuntu) = gnome-shell (Ubuntu) -- Firefox incorrectly uses the window title as the application title in Gnome 3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/646634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 647235] [NEW] Audio-enhanced webpage in Firefox (like YouTube) locks out audio in Rhythmbox, forcing Rhythmbox to be restarted a few times before it plays music again.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox Ubuntu 10.04 ALSA 1.0.23 Firefox 3.6.10 Rhythmbox 0.12.8 If I go to a webpage with audio--namely, a YouTube video--it won't play unless I stop the music playing in Rhythmbox. [Bug 647240] [NEW] MediaWiki depends on package that is not needed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mediawiki MediaWiki Depends on apache2 | httpd. This should not be the case though. Apache is not required to make Nginx work. It should either be a dependency that is moved to Suggests or the various other options should be included such as nginx, lighttpd, cheroke, etc. Because of this dependency I'm actually not able to install from the Ubuntu repository and instead need to install from a tarball. ** Affects: mediawiki (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- MediaWiki depends on package that is not needed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/647240 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
