[Bug 92876] Re: Samsom C01U usb microphone doesn't work
Hmm, now Audacity is able to access the device to record, but it has no device to output to. So I'm able to record, with the Samsom or the webcam but unable to playback. Gnome Sound recorder lists nothing as a possible input device, yet it should since it uses gstreamer. Gstr-properties lists both devices but doesn't record/playback anything when testing either. Gnome Sound recorder seems to lock the device but not record anything from it, i.e., clicking record doesn't create anything but unplayable seconds. But while it is open, I gst-launch-0.10 alsasrc=hw:1,0 ! audioconvert ! vorbisenc ! oggmux ! filesink location=input.ogg and get the warning: Device 'hw:1,0' is busy. With the Sound recorder closed, gst-launch can record. The Samsom has some weird configuration so the volume control actually don't do what they are expected to do. For example, full left and right channel give only left channel. -- Samsom C01U usb microphone doesn't work https://launchpad.net/bugs/92876 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Whenever the screensaver starts in full screenmode, the gamma correction is set to 0 for R, G and B. The manual fix is to run fireglcontrol and click on one of the 1. This doesn't happen when previewing the screensavers. It's probably a bug in the fglx driver since clicking on only one 1 in the adjustments fixes all 3 gamma corrections (RGB). ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- screensaver breaks gamma correction of ati fglrx https://launchpad.net/bugs/94019 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 94214] dual head ATI radeon X1550 has random and frequent resolution changes on DVI output
Public bug reported: on AMD64, with dual screen enabled, the screen that is plugged on DVI randomly 'flashes black' as for a resolution change and returns to normal after about 2 seconds. it is as if the screen reinitializes, or at least attempts a resolution change to the same resolutions. rarely, i will receive a input not supported message on that screen; it switches back after a few seconds. this problem is very annoying as it occurs every 5 minutes or so, sometimes 2 to 3 times in a row, and then works for up to 10 minutes before it occurs again. this happens only on the DVI output since i tried switching my screens and the problem switched to the other screen also. note: i used to have this problem on edgy as well. windows vista does not have this problem. thanks! [Bug 95028] Re: X crashes when testing screen savers
hi, well, i installed feisty from scratch, formatting the whole drive. since then, all i did was add applications through synaptic package manager. as of this, i have no idea why i don't have the right kernel version from doing standard basic stuff. could this be a bug? also, the only thing i did that could have changed the kernel is installing xen (again from apt-get). but then, why would xen use an older kernel? and, if xen is the reason why i have an older kernel, this screen save bug happened to me even after i have freshly installed the OS and begun setting my preferences. That was way before i did any important updates, including xen. i report it today, but i have been having it since the beginning. in any case, i will be installing beta today, and we can see if it happens anymore. thanks! -- X crashes when testing screen savers https://launchpad.net/bugs/95028 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 948373] [NEW] Overlay scrollbars of unfocused windows may be hidden by other windows
Public bug reported: Reproduce as follows: 1. Open an Evince window with a document open that requires scrolling, maximize it to the left half of the screen. 2. Maximize any other window to the right screen half, and make sure it is focused. 3. Move the cursor to the scrollbar area of the Evince window without changing the window focus. 4. See that the overlay scrollbar appears underneath the window on the right half. I guess the overlay scrollbar popup should be always-on-top to prevent such situations. ** Affects: overlay-scrollbar (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/948373 Title: Overlay scrollbars of unfocused windows may be hidden by other windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/overlay-scrollbar/+bug/948373/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
