[Bug 367341] [NEW] Still unable to connect to 1 particular POP server
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird For years I have been reporting this same bug and I see, with this fresh install of Thunderbird on my Ubuntu machine, that it is STILL NOT CORRECTED. Regrettably I don't have the prior thread for this complaint so I'll have to start fresh. I have 5 e-mail accounts that are POP accessible. 1 at yahoo, 1 at sstar.com, 1 at comcast.net and 2 at sursum-corda.com. Those on the sursum-corda.com server (which I operate) are inaccesible via Thunderbird. Any attempt to connect and Thunderbird sends CAPA and posts this pop-up message: Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server 10.0.0.3 responded: CAPA. Precisely what it has always done. Re: [Bug 367334] [NEW] console-kit-daemon[2951]: WARNING: Couldn't read /proc/2950/environ: Failed to open file '/proc/2950/environ': No such file or directory
On Sun, 2009-04-26 at 13:39 +, Alexander Gieg wrote: Public bug reported: Binary package hint: consolekit This line appears in my syslog. I don't know what its importance is: console-kit-daemon[2951]: WARNING: Couldn't read /proc/2950/environ: Failed to open file '/proc/2950/environ': No such file or directory The folder 2950 itself also doesn't exist. 2951 however does. Just a guess then: shouldn't it be trying to read /proc/2951/environ instead? Nope. /proc/ is a virtual file-system that has a directory per process, so /proc/2950 and /proc/2951 give information about different processes. My guess is that process 2950 is very short-lived, so consolekit notices it, and then when it goes to find the information about the process it has already exited, so the directory no longer exists. If that is the case then it would make this bug Invalid I guess, but it would be good to confirm that it is indeed the case. Unfortunately, on moving the swap partition to another part of the disk, Gparted did not update the UUID of the swap partition in /etc/fstab. [Bug 367359] [NEW] fread declared with __wur (warn_unused_result)
Public bug reported: According to GCC docs ( http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-3.4.6/gcc /Function-Attributes.html ), the warn_unused_result attribute causes a warning to be emitted if a caller of the function with this attribute does not use its return value. This is useful for functions where not checking the result is either a security problem or always a bug. I only got this issue after upgrading from Intrepid to Jaunty. My problem is that I have to emulate a virtual desktop because I'm using twinview (with nvidia). [Bug 334344] Re: wishlist: integrate libnotify in Thunderbird notifications
I think it works with both Firefox and Thunderbird, the idea being you can install it in Firefox to get Download complete and such notifications. Change the URL to Thunderbird (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/11530/) and you'll see that it is added for Thunderbird as well. You have to save the .xpi file and manually install it, though. Anyways, my complaint is that, with Thunderbird, it likes to notify when new junk mail arrives.
