You didn't mention the purpose? That would give a better idea of what to advice. The processor choices are too basic and the RAM would be wasted. See if you can use a old 512MB RAM and put the money you save on a better processor. The pitivi team just got a new version out with quite some nice changes in it and said they would do the glade to gtkbuilder conversion this cycle, that seems enough material to revisit the decision later if the new version is proving to be solid and the gtkbuilder switch get done so what people think of keeping pitivi on by default until before beta and discuss what we do in a desktop team meeting then? The last time we talked with people from Ubuntu we learned that you are very careful about saving space on the install CD, so to make pitivi fit we migrated from libglade to gtkbuilder, got rid of the gconf dependency (maybe some other things too, I forget), and I implemented a soft-dependency manager so most remainings deps are optional. We haven't heard from the Ubuntu/Canonical folks at all since I asked on this mailing list in May. I've been subscribed to this mailing list and haven't seen further discussions on revisiting the decision to include pitivi or not... and I couldn't get a hold of you on IRC when I publicly asked the question a couple of times. We're completely in the dark here. I would like to recommend that* *OpenShot Video Editor be included, but I'm not sure who to contact about this. The reasons I would recommend OpenShot for the Our Picks section, is based on the following: 1. OpenShot is currently the #1 rated video editor in the software center (with a 4.5 rating) 2. Bom dia pessoal, Se fosse comigo eu tentaria também testar com outro roteador. Assim como o Anderson falou, eu já ouvi falar muito bem dos TP Link, mas, como afirmei num post anterior, já vi problemas ocorrerem por preconceito do roteador, e resolvido com a troca dele. A questão dos drivers é complicada, pois como o Franklin falou, ele tentou tanto no wireless como no cabo, e ocorreram os mesmos problemas. Franklin, chegou a testar com um Live? Pelo que vi, o seu TP Link é apenas roteador com access point (wireless), com isso creio que tenha um modem (adsl ou cabo) antes do roteador, portanto gostaria de recomendar um teste primeiro de tudo: espetar o cabo de rede do seu modem direto no seu computador e fazer o teste. Se ocorrer tudo bem é o roteador preconceituoso, se não partimos para os drivers. Bom dia Marcos, Eu tenho um Pavillion DV4 2112BR, com leitor biométrico integrado. Após a instalação padrão dele, não funciona, e eu também não tive oportunidade de mexer nele para tentar configurar e fazer funcionar. Faça um favor, execute o seguinte comando no console, e poste o resultado: lsusb Pode ser feito com o usuário normal. No meu caso, o meu leito é o Bus 005 Device 003: ID 138a:0001 DigitalPersona, Inc Fingeprint Reader. Se for o mesmo, acredito não ser fácil de configurar ele. Mas se não me engano, no Launchpad teve gente que conseguiu fazer funcionar. Anderson, qual é o modelo do leitor biométrico do seu Dell XPS? Pessoal e outra. Usando o Virtual box dentro do linux, rodando o XP a internet acessa normalmente. To começando a achar que é o firefox com problemas. Mas também tenho o Chrome e apresenta problemas também. Espero em breve poder estar contribuindo com todos de alguma maneira. Boa tarde xará! Seja bem vindo à lista. Garanto que você vai ficar viciado nela = Seguinte, acho que de início, o que mais confunde a galera não é nem na verdade a estrutura de diretórios, mas sim ao instalar aplicativos, que no mundo Linux são pacotes. Nada de setup.exe, apt-get install nomedopacote faz tudo para vc! Verifica dependências, instala dependências, baixa pacote, instala pacote, coloca nos menus, na maior parte dos casos já vem com um manual, basta executar man nomedopacote no console, mas é inevitável você ter que fazer algumas configurações no braço, ainda mais que você é programador. Mas já que você tem a lógica, não vai se atrapalhar muito e nem vai se importar com isso (assim como eu tb =D)... Bruno, é assim. tenho uma antena via rádio, que passa a conexão para o roteador da TP-Link. Do roteadorsai um cabo de rede para um computador desktop e o sinal wireless para o note. Mesmo espetando o cabo, a conexão apresenta problemas. Agora usando a central de programas para baixar e instalar algum aplicativo a conexão fica estabilizada. Fiquei verificando a transmissão de pacotes, e percebi que uma boa parte dos pacotes transmistidos são descartados. O que isso quer dizer? Franklin. Доброго времени. На борту ubuntu-netbook 10.04, сам борт: eeepc901, 2.6.32-33-generic. Всё работало прекрасно, но после установки обновлений (очень много, давно не обновлял) wi-fi самопроизвольно стал отключаться. Это не зависит от точки доступа, проверял. Причем аналогичная проблема возникает и в 11.04 и только после установки, если с флешки - всё ок. При первом включении точка находится и с ней автоматически соединяется ноут, но проходит 3-5-10 минут и происходит разрыв с последующими попытки соединиться вновь и в результате переход в автономный режим, т.к. соединится снова не выходит. Простое XOR-шифрование в Linux
Доброе время суток! Подскажите программу или способ XOR-шифрования файлов. Гугл по этому вопросу говорит много, но от ответа уходит. Дело в том, что в результате вируса (в Windows) оказались зашифрованы файлы. Я разгадал как они зашифрованы. Расшифровал несколько файлов в Windows, но файлов слишком много, чтобы расшифровывать их вручную. А как это автоматизировать не представляю. В общем, нужна программа XOR-наложения, а скрипт я уж составлю как нибудь. Или может быть вы знаете как можно это сделать уже установленными средствами. Лучше конечно программа. Фигня всё это, если в ливке работает. Очень похоже на типичную проблему с неворк-менеджером. Попробуйте его рестартовать. После рестарта если подцепится, значит проблема в нем. sudo /etc/init.d/network-manager restart галка автоподключенияя должна стоять на вафле конечно или вручную. Так же можно попробовать вынести конфиги из /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections и создать конекты по новой. Завтра на работе поковыряю. Странно, но к домашнему роутеру приконектился. Но ранее работало везде. В сисьлоге подозрительная строка: Association request to the driver failedа Наверное дело не в версии ядра, если говорить про 10.04 UNR, а в том, что на работе точка с b/g/n режимами одновременно. П.С. карты спутала 11.04, ведь зарекался не ставить промежутки... I did the sudo apt-get clean in terminal mode but I still get a message that there are 'gebroken pakketten' (=broken packages). The message in dutch is (bold) *De afhankelijkheden van de volgende pakketten konden niet geïnstalleerd worden: linux-image-generic: Depends: linux-image-2.6.38-11-generic maar het is niet geïnstalleerd * translated it says: the following packages could not be installed. FWIW ran into another guest today which wouldn't boot through virt- mangler. Kept getting error message: operation failed: failed to retrieve chardev info in qemu with 'info chardev' *sigh* It was the only guest left wounded from the Lucid upgrade. I could still start it using the script above, but kinda sucks not having it manageable from virsh. One of these three things fixed it. 1) Details - Boot device This was blank. Set it hard disk. 2) Details - Display Was set for SDL. Removed it and added new Display as VNC. 3) Details - Video Changed from VGA to Cirrus Hope this helps someone else. The cause seems to be that apparmor caught mysqld trying to open /home/sandor/.my.cnf which seems a bug to me, not a bad download.
