[Bug 1875159] Re: Official Skype on Ubuntu 20.04 "No device found"
I ran into this problem with skype and ms teams preview (both deb installs) when I upgraded Ubuntu 19.10 to 20.04. I reproduced the screenshot attached earlier, both skype and ms teams won't allow to select a webcam, microphone or output speaker. [Bug 1856562] [NEW] Nsscache 0.39 for Bionic
Public bug reported: Hi friends, Apologies if this is the incorrect place to report this (please point me in the right direction if this is the case). Currently Bionic is shipping with nsscache (https://github.com/google/nsscache) version 0.34-2ubuntu1 I was wondering if we could upgrade the package to 0.39 (as per debian testing https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/nsscache) - as this alleviates some issues with nested group support as well as some formatting and some smaller bugfixes. This will allow operators to upgrade fleets to bionic and get these fixes for free when doing so. I have had a conversation with the google folks here where they have confirmed this is fine; https://groups.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email_source=footer#!msg /nsscache-discuss/hQCqL1AMyl0/DUrME51uAQAJ Many thanks, /morgy ** Affects: hdf5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: packaging -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1856562 Title: Nsscache 0.39 for Bionic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hdf5/+bug/1856562/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1153618]
We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. As kernel maintainers, we try to keep up with bugzilla but due the rate at which the upstream kernel project moves, bugs may be fixed without any indication to us. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 27 kernel bugs. Fedora 27 has now been rebased to 4.15.3-300.f27. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel. [Bug 1508787] [NEW] Mumble fails to stay connected using 3.13.0-66-generic kernel
Public bug reported: Mumble can't stay connected to the server when using the 3.13.0-66-generic kernel. It's almost constantly using >100% CPU too. It's fine when using the 3.13.0-65-generic kernel. [Bug 1357810] Re: Can't install updates because out of space
** Description changed: Update manager says there are some updates for me to install but (as of yesterday - 15th Aug 2014) it can't install them because there isn't enough space in /boot. It suggests emptying the recycle bin (I have) and using 'sudo apt-get clean' to remove temporary packages from previous installations (I have). That doesn't work. Also, I only installed 14.04 fairly recently (in the last month) from scratch (no upgrade) using the default installation options for partitioning etc (as far as I know) so it shouldn't have filled up like this. I also ran 'sudo apt-get autoremove' then 'sudo apt-get clean' but no success either. I'm on a 256 GB SSD (Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition) with an encrypted harddrive. - I know I *could* spend some time hunting around for instructions to remove old kernel packages from the command line but there really aren't that many there and it's a pretty poor user experience if that is required. I'm guessing that's not the intention so I can only think that this is a bug... - --- + I know I *could* spend some time hunting around for instructions to remove old kernel packages from the command line but there really aren't that many there and it's a pretty poor user experience if that is required. I know I *could* spend some time hunting around for instructions to remove old kernel packages from the command line but there really aren't that many there and it's a pretty poor user experience if that is required. I'm guessing that's not the intention so I can only think that this is a bug... ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: Attached a screenshot of the message. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1357810/+attachment/4179438/+files/Screenshot%20from%202014-08-16%2023%3A04%3A26.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1357810 Title: Can't install updates because out of space To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1357810/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1323594] Re: vpn auto-connect works, but doesn't connect automatically when network is available.
Same here. If I have wifi set to automatically connect to VPN, it doesn't connect on its own, I have to select the wifi network every time I log in / unlock my screen. If I *don't* have wifi set to automatically use VPN, the same wifi network will connect automatically, as expected. VPN works just fine, it's just the extra step that's annoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1323594 Title: vpn auto-connect works, but doesn't connect automatically when network is available. [Bug 1009276] Re: auto driver downloader fails on epson px-5600 (precise pangolin)
I neglected to mention and thought it was probably pretty important: I walked through the installation process (automatic, because I am a newer Linux user) on my new 13.01 install of Unbuntu and this printer install for the Canon PixmaMX880 worked flawlessly. Later the same day when I walked through the exact same process on my older install of 12.04 Ubuntu (it's probably 6 months old) it failed with the above error no trusted origin. I am unsure whether the age of the Ubuntu installation or the version of the Ubuntu installation is more impactful, or both. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1009276 Title: auto driver downloader fails on epson px-5600 (precise pangolin) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/+bug/1009276/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I feel it would be a great help to have something physical where people can go for help, support and encouragement. However whenever I mention this and try to push for it I just get hit with a whole lot of negative comments and lethargy. Nobody seems willing to support the idea at all and I think it's a real shame. There seems to be a lot of laziness and 'let somebody else deal with it' attitude going on. I'm more than happy to set one up but it's not easy when you don't have any proof that anybody else will even turn up! We all need to remember at all times that when we talk on these forums, chat rooms, web pages that we are representing the brand (whichever floats your boat) and so should keep it positive, constructive and supportive at all times. If any of us feels the need to drag the tone down we really shouldn't be doing so in such a public way, keep it 1 on 1. Gareth, There is nothing to stop you organising it, sending a link out to date / time of the meet up here if you so chose, it's an Ubuntu mailing list so I assume the meet up would be Ubuntu related of some kind, perhaps you could add the event to the loco team portal. [ubuntu-uk] vUDS 14-16 May online
Aloha That time is fast approaching again - Next week is the 2nd virtual UDS (vUDS) - http://summit.ubuntu.com/uds-1305/ It is open to anyone and everyone, sessions are online, not just on air, there are irc channels to watch discussions and you have a voice too. Everyone is encouraged to take part, comment on discussions and give your opinions. Sessions are spilt into tracks/categories which have leaders associated with them Tracks... * *App Development*: Alan Pope, David Planella Michael Hall * *Community*: Daniel Holbach, Nick Skaggs Jono Bacon * *Client*: Jason Warner Sebastien Bacher * *Server Cloud*: Dave Walker Antonio Rosales * *Foundations*: Steve Langasek In some cases but not all there is a blueprint associated with the session, clicking subscribe on the blueprint means you will get notifications of any items added to it. This is useful if you want to keep track of the progress during the cycle. You can find a list of all the blueprints registered https://blueprints.launchpad.net/sprints/uds-1305 Perhaps you want to follow the discussion and plan for the Click package discussion that is taking place if so you'd do the following: * You'd see that the Click packages session is on Tuesday at 16:05-17:05 -http://summit.ubuntu.com/uds-1305/track/foundations/ * If you click on the on Click packages session it opens up another window for you http://summit.ubuntu.com/uds-1305/meeting/21760/foundations-1305-click-package/ this is how you'd see everything , the on air discussion, etherpad note taking application and lastly IRC window all on one page. * At the top of the page is blueprint, selecting this brings you to the blueprint listed above and here you can subscribe to it. If you miss any session, don't worry, they are all recorded and IRC sessions are logged so you can read the logs afterwards.
