Paul Strangely enough I tried those exact instructions yesterday but for some strange reason the Output Setting field was just showing equal and there was no available dropdown. I had been using a HiFi berry+ DAC HAT on this pi previously maybe that had something to do with it. This morning I just re-flashing the sd-card which solved that little issue. This is the Output Setting that eventually worked with the Dante USB adapter. plughw:CARD=Module,DEV=0 Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0, Slim-devices Silver Transporter | SB Touch | 2 * SB Duets | 2 * SB Boom | SB Radio | Pi3 & Pi 4 + HiFiBerry-Amp+ Official Touchscreen + PiCorePlayer, (RIP SB Classic | SB Radio | Wandboard) lesliew's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30045 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114828 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
Hope that its OK to post this here. I've been looking for ways to migrate some audio devices to Dante so that I can do whole house Audio over IP. I purchased a 'Audinate Dante USB 2x2 dongle' (https://assets.audinate.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Dante-AVIO-USB-Marketing-Datasheet-20210119-en.pdf?) in the hope that I could use it directly with piCorePlayer. It is recognized in linux as expected, configured correctly on my network and paired with a Dante Master, however I don't appear to be able to play any audio through it when connected to the pi. Maybe someone knows what I might need to tweak to configure it properly. Just guessing since this is not really familiar territory but I think the reason maybe because the M.2 card is seen as 'sda1' and the script [FS Resize] probably expects to see a memory card on 'mmcblk0p2'. Write or wrong, setting it up on an SD card then using dd to clone it to the M.2 worked so I am at least up and running again now. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 5.0.0
Guys Can anyone tell me how to manually resize the partition. I'm using a USB to M.2 SATA board for the pi with a 32Gb M.2 card and for some reason the resize filesystem option within pCP refuses to run. I'm getting a message saying that the resize option is disabled to prevent damage to the SD Card. I have been using this setup for a while and must have resized it with the inbuilt tool at one point in time. I have tried to re-write the image to the M.2 drive a few times. I wasn't able to do an insitu update to 5.0, I couldn't figure out why squeezelite wound'nt start after the update so I just went with a fresh install but obviously wont be able to get any of the extras installed until I'm able to resize the drive. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 4.0.0
Feature Request : This is a fairly new release so I don't know if any of the dev team has caught onto this yet. Ravenna have just released linux drivers and source for implementing AES67 on linux. I have been eager to see this happen for quite sometime. I hope one of the devs are interested enough to take this one on-board and include in piCorePlayer. https://merging.com/products/alsa_ravenna_aes67_driver Source https://bitbucket.org/MergingTechnologies/ravenna-alsa-lkm/src/ LMS 7.9.1, Slimdevices Silver Transporter, 1 * SB Touch, 2 * SB Duets, 2 * SB Boom, 1 * SB Radio, 1 * Wandboard Quad, 2* Pi 3 + HiFiBerry-Amp+ Official Touchscreen + PiCorePlayer, (RIP SB Classic & SB Radio) lesliew's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30045 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109404 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Any thoughts on implementing AES67 on picoreplayer, a few very high end audio players are now supporting audio over IP. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 2.00
Just wanted to chime in and congratulate you guys on this build. Using a Pi 2 + official 7" screen. It was very easy to setup and use. Tested on 2 external USB DAC's so far without a problem I have another 2 DACS to try which I noticed aren't already in the database so if I do get them working I'll certainly send the info in. JackOfAll wrote: A quick Google, it seems that the 105 is UAC2 compliant and people are using it under Linux. It could be the ALSA_PARAMS, which on initial install forces the output to 16 bit for compatibility with the on-board sgtl5000 device, needs to be changed as well. Can you use the web interface? On the squeezelite config page, if you have 40::16: in the Alsa Params field, remove that, choose your Oppo DAC USB hw:.. output in the Audio Device drop-down, Save and Conditionally Restart. Thanks JackofAll for taking the time to respond I didn't have anything in the alsa params field but I did eventually get the OPPO's USB DAC to work. I appear to have a rouge/ghost squeezeliteWAND, ie two devices with the same name that show up in the choose device list and it also appears in my LMS dropdown for a short time after rebooting the Wandboard. I haven't figured out why, but if I do choose the wrong one I seem unable to select the OPPO's USB as the output device. Its strange because after a couple of minutes the ghost device disappears. I have 6 other SB devices and I've never seen this behavior before. So you can scratch my previous comment, Wandboard - OPPO 105 USB DAC works. Received my Wandboard Quad a few days ago.
