求助,CentOS6.3 安装cloudStack4.0 无法登陆http://ip:8080/client
各位: 我在CentOS6.3上安装完cloud-client、mysql、NFS后,无法访问UI,查看了下本地8080端口,根本没有服务监听: tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:33060.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1958/mysqld tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:111 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1123/rpcbind tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:22 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1223/sshd tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:662 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1150/rpc.statd tcp0 0 :::111 :::* LISTEN 1123/rpcbind tcp0 0 :::22 :::* LISTEN 1223/sshd tcp0 0 :::662 :::* LISTEN 1150/rpc.statd 我判断是服务没有起来,但是执行service cloud-management start多次都不行,重启也不行,按照官方文档安装两次了,系统也换了CentOS6.3和6.4,都一样的结果。 比较了下service cloud-management status的正常结果: * CloudStack-specific Tomcat servlet engine is running with pid 5324 我的却是: The pid file locates at /var/run/cloud-management.pid and lock file at /var/lock/subsys/cloud-management. 不知道有谁遇到过,求助。

Re: CloudStack Exception
看起来log的第一句话比较重要。 Primary secondary storage is not even started, wait until next turn INFO [cloud.secstorage.PremiumSecondaryStorageManagerImpl] (secstorage-1:) Primary secondary storage is not even started, wait until next turn INFO [cloud.secstorage.PremiumSecondaryStorageManagerImpl] (secstorage-1:) No running secondary storage vms found in datacenter id=7, starting one INFO [storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl] (secstorage-1:) No stopped secondary storage vm is available, need to allocate a new secondary storage vm WARN [network.element.VpcVirtualRouterElement] (secstorage-1:) Network Ntwk[234|Guest|7] is not associated with any VPC WARN [network.element.VpcVirtualRouterElement] (secstorage-1:) Network Ntwk[232|Control|3] is not associated with any VPC WARN [network.element.VpcVirtualRouterElement] (secstorage-1:) Network Ntwk[231|Management|2] is not associated with any VPC INFO [cloud.consoleproxy.ConsoleProxyManagerImpl] (consoleproxy-1:) Found a stopped console proxy, bring it up to running pool. proxy vm id : 252 WARN [network.element.VpcVirtualRouterElement] (secstorage-1:) Network Ntwk[233|Storage|4] is not associated with any VPC WARN [network.element.VpcVirtualRouterElement] (consoleproxy-1:) Network Ntwk[234|Guest|7] is not associated with any VPC WARN [network.element.VpcVirtualRouterElement] (consoleproxy-1:) Network Ntwk[232|Control|3] is not associated with any VPC WARN [network.element.VpcVirtualRouterElement] (consoleproxy-1:) Network Ntwk[231|Management|2] is not associated with any VPC INFO [cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl] (secstorage-1:) Unable to start VM on Host[-15-Routing] due to internal error unknown timer name 'kvmclock' INFO [cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl] (consoleproxy-1:) Unable to start VM on Host[-15-Routing] due to internal error unknown timer name 'kvmclock' WARN [storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl] (secstorage-1:) Exception while trying to start secondary storage vm com.cloud.exception.InsufficientServerCapacityException: Unable to create a deployment for VM[SecondaryStorageVm|s-1168-VM]Scope=interface com.cloud.dc.DataCenter; id=7 at com.cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl.advanceStart(VirtualMachineManagerImpl.java:728) at com.cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl.start(VirtualMachineManagerImpl.java:471) at com.cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl.start(VirtualMachineManagerImpl.java:464) at com.cloud.storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl.startSecStorageVm(SecondaryStorageManagerImpl.java:264) at com.cloud.storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl.allocCapacity(SecondaryStorageManagerImpl.java:689) at com.cloud.storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl.expandPool(SecondaryStorageManagerImpl.java:1300) at com.cloud.secstorage.PremiumSecondaryStorageManagerImpl.scanPool(PremiumSecondaryStorageManagerImpl.java:121) at com.cloud.secstorage.PremiumSecondaryStorageManagerImpl.scanPool(PremiumSecondaryStorageManagerImpl.java:52) at com.cloud.vm.SystemVmLoadScanner.loadScan(SystemVmLoadScanner.java:104) at com.cloud.vm.SystemVmLoadScanner.access$100(SystemVmLoadScanner.java:33) at com.cloud.vm.SystemVmLoadScanner$1.reallyRun(SystemVmLoadScanner.java:81) at com.cloud.vm.SystemVmLoadScanner$1.run(SystemVmLoadScanner.java:72) at java.util.concurrent.Executors$RunnableAdapter.call(Executors.java:471) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask$Sync.innerRunAndReset(FutureTask.java:351) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.runAndReset(FutureTask.java:178) at java.util.concurrent.ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor$ScheduledFutureTask.access$201(ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor.java:165) at java.util.concurrent.ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor$ScheduledFutureTask.run(ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor.java:267) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1110) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:603) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:679) INFO [storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl] (secstorage-1:) Unable to start secondary storage vm for standby capacity, secStorageVm vm Id : 1168, will recycle it and start a new one INFO [cloud.secstorage.PremiumSecondaryStorageManagerImpl] (secstorage-1:) Primary secondary storage is not even started, wait until next turn WARN [cloud.consoleproxy.ConsoleProxyManagerImpl] (consoleproxy-1:) Exception while trying to start console proxy com.cloud.exception.InsufficientServerCapacityException: Unable to create a deployment for VM[ConsoleProxy|v-252-VM]Scope=interface com.cloud.dc.DataCenter; id=7 at com.cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl.advanceStart(VirtualMachineManagerImpl.java:728) at

RE: cold migrated VMs won't start
Thanks Ahmad, We were wondering about that, although we couldn't find anything that explicitly states that you can't migrate across pods in a basic zone. Our view was that there's no technical reason why the VM can't be started by the hypervisor - it would have to get a new ip (as dhcp in the vr would be incapable of giving it its orginal one) - but that would be our problem to deal with, and if our app was fqdn based - it wouldn't matter anyway. Just a thought! can you create new user account and launch a vm? it could be an issue with the account. if it works, you could use cloudmonkey later to assign all vms from the affected user account to the new account. Re: Unable to migrate VM to another host
Dear Prasanna and all, I have tried to remove the host from CloudStack, uninstall and reinstall cloudstack-agent and added the host back into CloudStack. The cloud user-id is still not yet created. I then tried to add the cloud user manually, using exactly the same credentials as the cloud user on the other host. From the host, I tried to do a virsh connect qemu+ssh to the other host using the cloud user (instead of root), and getting this error: cloud@hv-kvm-01:~$ virsh --connect qemu+ssh://cloud@10.237.3.22/system list cloud@10.237.3.22's password: error: failed to connect to the hypervisor error: no valid connection error: End of file while reading data: : Input/output error If you notice, the error is the same exact error message I see on the management-server.log when I tried to do a live migration of VM. So I tried to follow this lead and implement this instruction to allow the cloud user to have access to the hypervisor on the other host: http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/SSHSetup usermod -G libvirtd -a cloud Enabled these on /etc/libvirt/libvirtd.conf: unix_sock_group = libvirtd unix_sock_rw_perms = 0770 I also copied the SSH keys of the cloud user to the other host, so that it will not prompt for password. And I am now able to do a virsh connect using the cloud user: cloud@hv-kvm-01:~$ virsh --connect qemu+ssh://cloud@10.237.3.22/system list IdName State 2 i-2-275-VM running 3 i-2-276-VM running 4 i-2-293-VM running But I am still not able to perform live migration of VM. May I know how CloudStack connects to the hypervisors when it performs live migration, after finding a suitable target host? Does it request the source host to perform a qemu+ssh connect to the target host? Appreciate if anyone who is familiar with CloudStack VM live migration can shed some lights on this. Re: How to backup cloudstack data?
We won't be able to tell you that. You will have to determine what is most important to your organization to backup. For simplicity, definitely backup the DB. If you wanted to backup anything, I'd probably suggest the secondary storage, as it contains the templates, isos, and snapshots; of which you'll likely be able to recover from (rebuild instances) more easily. On Mon, Jul 22, 2013 at 11:00 PM, WXR 1485739...@qq.com wrote: I use a storage device as my cloudstack primary and secondary storage.I can do redundant storage configuration on the device. But I must do a backup of the most important data on the storage device to another server.If the storage device is ruined for some reasons,I can restore the vms by using the backup data on the server. Each vm has its root and data volume files and the nearest 2 weeks snapshot files on the storage. If there is 50T data on the storage device(including volumes and snapshots),I can just copy 2T-10T of them to the backup server.Now the problem is which files should I copy and how to restore them. -- Original -- From: Ahmad Emneinaaemne...@gmail.com; Date: Tue, Jul 23, 2013 10:29 AM To: Cloudstack users mailing listusers@cloudstack.apache.org; Subject: Re: How to backup cloudstack data? I agree with Kirk here, configuration management for the virtual infra and the important bits of data should be made redundant at the storage level. Cloudstack has a snapshotting function but if your secondary storage server tanks, you'll be in a world of hurt. If you use cloudstack snapshotting, ensure your secondary storage is replicated or has plenty of redundant disks. It is my belief that the cloud is the IaaS and that the applications that run on the cloud should be built for failure of the IaaS: they (instances/applications) should be rapidly deployable. So, it shouldn't matter what cloud product (openstack/cloudstack/vmware/aws/etc...) you provide to your customers, they should be able to redeploy their application where ever they go or are given for IaaS. With that said, if you really wanted to backup the VMs, you probably want to look at something that backed up thorough the storage device, or the hypervisor, and then backup the management and mysql db. VPC Issue with CS 4.1/KVM/Openvswitch
Hello, I've been testing Cloudstack 4.1 with KVM/Openvswitch networking. When trying to add a VPC, the VR's public interface default route was not assigned correctly, nor the source nat. RE: CloudStack performance issue
Indra, How big are the templates you are attempting to deploy? I could see the 1 Gbps connection being a little bit of a bottleneck, but it sounds like there may be something else going on. I know we would have issues on our setup which is on 1 Gbps connections at the moment if we tried to do multiple snapshots at once, but we could normally get away with deploying a couple VMs at once within a few minutes. As for the question about how they are being copied, I am not 100% confident on this, but I believe it is copied via the SSVM, so it would be going secondary storage -- hypervisor host -- primary storage. Hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong on that. -David Date: Tue, 23 Jul 2013 12:33:17 +0800 Subject: Re: CloudStack performance issue From: in...@sg.or.id To: users@cloudstack.apache.org Hi David, Good day to you, and thank you for your e-mail. My secondary storage is connected to the switch using 1 Gbps connection, while my primary storage is connected via a 10 Gbps connection. Unfortunately I don't have 10G NIC cards on my secondary storage. Do you think upgrading my secondary storage's NIC to 10 Gbps will help? May I know how the template and ISOs are being copied, is it through the hypervisor host (e.g. secondary storage -- hypervisor host -- primary storage) or directly (i.e. secondary storage -- primary storage)? My primary storage is not on the same subnet/VLAN as secondary storage, since it's connected to different NIC cards on the hypervisor hosts. If it's a direct connection between secondary storage to primary storage without going to the hypervisor, I might be considering changing my network topology to make the primary and secondary storage to be on the same subnet/VLAN. The management-server.log file doesn't show much anything about the delay. It seems that there is some locking mechanism and certain processes will need other processes to complete before they can start. This is worrying since in a production environment, many customers might want to try creating VMs at the same time simultaneously. The logs of use would be managment-server.log which defaults to DEBUG mode. The logs on the agent (inside KVM host) are default in INFO mode. You can turn them up to DEBUG by altering the log4j config. Apart from that you can also look at libvirt logs. Folks have been tuning the deployment of the VMs on KVM host in another thread on dev@ and in the bug https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-3163 let us know if the symptoms are the same and you can bring this up on dev@ with more details. Any thoughts or feedback on this matter is appreciated. Looking forward to your reply, thank you. Cheers. -- Prasanna., Powered by BigRock.com

I agree, I have to work around that kind of issue once in a while. Most of the time I just destroy the instance and recreate it, specifying host, and let puppet do the rest of the work. Dear David, Prasanna and all, Good day to you, and thank you for your e-mail. Hosts in CloudStack's avoid set
Dear all, Good day to you. From time to time, CloudStack will put a hypervisor host on avoid set and not willing to deploy VM on that host. === 2013-07-24 13:12:34,639 DEBUG [allocator.impl.FirstFitAllocator] (Job-Executor-2:job-672 FirstFitRoutingAllocator) Host name: hv-kvm-02, hostId: 28 is in avoid set, skipping this and trying other available hosts 2013-07-24 13:12:34,639 DEBUG [allocator.impl.FirstFitAllocator] (Job-Executor-2:job-672 FirstFitRoutingAllocator) Host name: hv-kvm-01, hostId: 32 is in avoid set, skipping this and trying other available hosts === 1. What are the possible reasons on why CloudStack would put a hypervisor host on avoid set? 2. How to manually force CloudStack to remove the hypervisor host from its avoid set? Looking forward to your reply, thank you. Cheers.
Re: CloudStack performance issue
Hi David, Good day to you, and thank you for your e-mail. Most of my templates are on 100 GB root disk, which I understand is too big. I plan to recreate the templates on a 10 GB disk, which should be sufficient based on an advice from another member of this mailing list on another thread. Do you think that might be the cause? I hope that deployment time will be much faster after I recreated the templates. Thank you. On Wed, Jul 24, 2013 at 1:22 AM, David Ortiz dpor...@outlook.com wrote: Indra, How big are the templates you are attempting to deploy? Creating a new VM requires copying the template or ISO over from secondary storage to primary, so that could be a bottleneck when trying to create multiple VMs at once. -Dave Date: Sat, 20 Jul 2013 16:20:08 +0530 From: t...@apache.org To: users@cloudstack.apache.org Subject: Re: CloudStack performance issue On Sat, Jul 20, 2013 at 03:18:12PM +0800, Indra Pramana wrote: Where can I start troubleshooting, which logs I need to go through to find out the bottleneck?
