Hi, I found from the document that we can use openvswitch instead of traditional bridge. Who can tell me the benefit using openvswitch? I used basic zone, and I cannot read usage info. If I use openvswitch, can I get usage info? Thank you. Regards, Steven

There was a bug where higher ip adresses, above 128.0.0.0 where not recognised as vaid ipv4 adresses. CS 4.2.1 Advanced network -- Guest IP range
Hi, My Guest CIDR set to 10.1.1.0/24, when I created Advanced network mode CS. After I added guest network 10.3.4.0/24, and used it on vms, it works. But when I added guest network 192.168.20.0/24, it doesn't work. Why? Thank you. Steven

Does cloud_usage only work on advanced networking mode?

My problem has been solved. The reason is the space of my temp
primary storage had not enough.
After I added a new primary storage, the new ips was able to be
assigned.

Hi All, My cs version is 4.0, host servers use kvm. When I run cloud-set-guest-password, it prompted me "Connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080... failed: Connection refused". I checked the firewall, the port 8080 of vrouter is allowed access. What is wrong with it? Thank you. Regards, Steven

The below is from doc: After upgrading to 4.1, API clients are expected to send plain text passwords for login and user creation, instead of MD5 hash. Incase, api client changes are not acceptable, following changes are to be made for backward compatibility: Modify componentsContext.xml, and make PlainTextUserAuthenticator as the default authenticator (1st entry in the userAuthenticators adapter list is default) My question is the file name is componentsContext.xml or componentContext.xml. Do you want jconsole like functionality? java statsweb CS monitors its
availible resources which should be correct.
Next is monitorring availibility of all processes (and system vm's).
You would want to do this outside the system itself. for instance nagios?
