[cli-users] Visual Studio.Net 2003 mod_aspdotnet
HI I installed mod_aspdotnet on Appache server 2.0.54. and configuredhttpd.conf file. Now i can run aspx files with no problems. But I have problems withcreating a new project in Visual Studio .NET 2003(ASP.NET web Application). First i get ASP.NET Version Mismatch Error "Visual Studio.NET has detected that web server is running ASP.NET version 1.0.",so i choose option"make theapplication compilant with ASP.NET version 1.0", but then i get fatal error "Visual Studio cannot create or open the apllication. The likeliest problem is that required components are not installed on the local web server" I would be very happy if you could help me, thanks,JAN sorry for my bad English :) Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page

Mike, I have worked out that the DNS is resolving the hostname to the WRONG IP! 192.168.1.5 is a LOCAL NETWORK IP not a WAN IP. Christopher; I do not think so. new.bio-world.com is resolved correctly. The problem is that it makes a redirect to http://192.168.1.15/bioworld/. Some thoughts: - new.bio-world.com is a reverse proxy that forwards requests to 192.168.1.15 but does not include adequate ProxyPassReverse directives. When the backend server issues a redirect, the Location header is not rewritten. - new.bio-world.com is NAT'ed to the internal address 192.168.1.15. It issues a redirect, but since the ServerName 192.168.1.15 and UseCanonicalName On, it redirects to the internal address. To me the solution in that case would be to set ServerName new.bio-world.com So Mike, do not touch your DNS configuration. It's just dandy. RE: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Intranet
Plain text please... This is really a name-service issue. Basically, you just need to configure the naming service on each machine on the LAN so that the domain name intranet maps to the IP address of the apache server. For example, if the apache machine has IP 192.168.1.1 then you put in /etc/hosts the line: 192.168.1.1 intranet There's a similar thing for windows (I think the file is called HOSTS). How can i maintain the new.bio-world.com name instead of that ip ? Would that be the servername in httpd.conf ?? I have to revise my opinion about that now that you have changed the redirection. The IP address of new.bio-world.com is 66.64.142.34. The address I was redirected to is different, e.g. 66.64.142.35, so it must be set by whoever does the redirection. 66.64.142.35 does not have a PTR record. Are you using named virtual hosts? When I request http://66.64.142.34/ I get a HTTP 404... WRT to the delay, I note that it only occurs in the request for the PHP and http://66.64.142.34/bioworld. Sounds about right. From the looks of bugzilla for Apache 1.3, there are several issues with ErrorLog piping. For my purposes though, I am able to pipe the log messages through a tee first and then back out to rotatelogs. That way at least I can put a timestamp on the Terminateds. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Capturing IP.
Hi... I have an Apache web server (server-A) which Im using like a proxy with SSL, I mean... I receive all connections and forward them to another server (server-B). Everything works fine. Now, we want to capture the source IP address of the connections on the server B, the problem is that all the connections on the server B belongs to server A, is the IP address of server A, because is the proxy. Can I capture the IP addresses that connect to server A and pass them to server B or at least, just capture in the serverA ?. Im using the proxy module in apache 1.3.33. I hope I have been clear, you know... language troubles. Thanks. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
