you must set wapbox and ppg (groups wapbox and ppg-core) for wap mms. Set at2 smsc as virtual smsc, for sending notifications and delivery reports to the phone. Erricson R380s as SMSC
Hi all, anybody got the Erricson R380s working as a SMSC. I mean not as a client, but use it as a modem-SMSC. If so, I'd appreciate the config settings to get it working. Hi Matthias, I've Ericsson R320 working as virtual SMSC, I think configuration for R380 will be same. Install problem: Any libxml2 for Redhat 6.2?
Dear all, It is my first post, thanks for your time of attention. I am trying Kannel 1.2.1. From the user manual, it requires Redhat 6.1. I can not find RHL 6.1, so I install 6.2. When I try to rpm Kannel, it require libxml2. I look for it but seems no one for 6.2. My question is, does Kannel only can run at Redhat 6.1? And, if yes, can I use libxml2 for RHL 7.2 on 6.2? Hi Shridhar, thanks for the answer... I'll try the settings out at the weekend. BTW, will the device compatibility list be updated sometime ? The listed devices are far from being complete... I'd think it would be of great help for the users if the list would be updated and if the sample modem.conf would actually list the devices individually, because they may need slightly modified settings... keep alive settings etc... With the help of Andras Fogarasi I get my Nokia 6310i working as a SMSC. I only tested it for four hours so I cannot make any long-time usage statements, but it's definately working... The concern is the kannel gateway worked fine with all emulator and fake settings. When i try it with a phone Nokia 6610 I cannot browse the wap sites. Can anyone say what can be the shortcomings. I am using the idea sim in the mobile phone thanks Anamika
Push Proxy Gateway
Hi KannelUsers, When I configure the push proxy gateway and run the test specified in the Userguide I get the message Pap parsing error what could be the problem. Is the example specified in the UserGuide wrong. The configuration file is the one given gw/pushkannel.conf and the command I am giving is gw/bearerbox gw/pushkannel.conf gw/smsbox gw/pushkannel.conf gw/wapbox gw/pushkannel.conf test/test_ppg -q [content-file] [configuration-file] the content file is the same given in the userGuide and the configuration file is also the same in the userguide Appendix c: All kannel users please advice or forword all the push configuration files or advice me as to what the problem may be. Check with your operator (Idea Cellular), usually operator don't enable CSD in India, unless you choose for it. Shridhar Raju

OTA Bookmark and ericsson
Hi I'm trying to send bookmarks to the T68i. I'm able to send wap setting both to nokia and ericsson handsets instead I can send bookmarks only to nokia phone, I've tried with kannel but no result, I've tried to send a bookmark manually with at commands with hyperterminal using kannel's paremeters I've found in the source code but nothing. Could someone post a working bookmark pdu or explain if there is some problem with bookmarks and ericsson? thanks paolo
