mBlox and sqlbox?

2006-04-03 Thread Alejandro Ramírez

Hello everyone!

I am currently using CVS+sqlbox and it works just
fine. But now i have the need to connect to mBlox, I have used the mBlox
patch for ver 1.3.2 and it works great, but I dont think there is any
sqlbox patch that works with that version.

Am i unaware of some new patch for version 1.4.0 that
allows Kannel to be used with mBlox?

Thank you!

Alejandro

Re: sqlbox does not log WAP Push traffic

2006-03-07 Thread Alejandro Ramírez

Coco,

In my particular case i found out that what was happening is that
i UPGRADED from previous SQLBOX version... so the msgdata, and udhdata
fields
existed already in table as varchar(255), and when installing from CVS
head i did not create from scratch the table. So i just had to change
the type of this fields into blob and text. Now all the msgs get logged!

Hope this helps,

Alejandro Ramirez

I've read somewhere that the problem was that the UDH was
being saved into a type of field that was not correct for the size (or
type) of the UDH in a wap push. It was suppoused to be fixed, but i
built from CVS last week and also found the same problem. Maybe Rene can

Re: Question about sms routing

2006-01-27 Thread Alejandro Ramírez

Hi Konstantinos...

Well, I think it cannot be done using kannel solely, however a very very
SIMPLE script (perl, php.. bash..) can read this numbers of yours and
post to the http send url with the correct SMSC-ID intented for each
prefix. This is at least how i go about this issue!

greetings,

Alejandro

I would like to do the following though.

I would like to be able to set for each of my users, routing depending
on destination, for example

If we have 3 SMSC’s A,B,C and 2 users user1 and user2 I would like to
be able to say that for user 1 destinations with prefix 30697 to be
routed through smsc A and for prefix 30693 to be routed through SMSC B.

In the same manner I would like for user2 to route destinations with
prefix 30697 through C and destinations with [refix 30693 to be routed
through SMSC B

Is this kind of thing possible with Kannel

Thank you very much in advance for your help

Thank you Alejandro... Actually i do worry about it, you see... if i
have no default gw defined in this machine, sqlbox and smsbox connect
just fine to bearerbox in 127.0.0.1 (localhost), but if I do define a
default gw, the sqlbox goes and looks for bearerbox at this 200.x.x.x IP
address, I've verified this using ethereal. I have no other explanation
why it is looking for this IP address at all, it is no longer assigned
to any of the interfaces nor is it one of the static routes. I have even
recompiled the gateway, make distclean and all... but still it is
looking for this IP.

As i said I have been using Kannel for sometime now and this is the
first time I've encountered this problem.

Any ideas are welcome!!

No client - multi-send or ACK to pull-reply

2006-01-24 Thread Alejandro Ramírez

Hello Everyone!

I'm in a lot of trouble, every X hours my server dies with
"BEARERBOX: Out of Memory", I had already asked about this one on the
mailing list, and DLR was suggested to be changed from internal to
mysql, nothing changed though. This with stable version. (im thinking
it might have something to do with a memory leak with sqlbox on that
version...).

Now for the real issue at hand, im trying to use the newest version
available in CVS cvs-20060119 maybe the leak was fixed here I have
compiled it with sqlbox support (it is totally necessary for me). But
now when it tries to fetch content from my IIS web server i get the "No
client - multi-send or ACK to pull-reply". Is there a new step i must
take for configuring the CVS version??

Thank you so much everyone for your help!

Siemens BMP conversion question

2005-11-24 Thread Alejandro Ramírez

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to ask more
information about the logos and ringtones to a siemens mobile. Specifically an
A70 unit. I have found that the contrib directory the sendsms converts BMP
files into SEO format that then is sent via various SMSs.

I have tried to send a very simple BMP to the
mobile, I get 3 different SMS, but never the mobile tells me that it is a
graphic.

Can someone please guide or post a simple
example of the sending URL of kannel of an image being sent to a SIEMENS mobile,
I would be greatly in debt.

Is the BMP an especial version like wbmp?

Thank you!

SQLBOX broken on CVS??

2005-11-22 Thread Alejandro Ramírez

Hello Everyone!

I’m trying to install SQLBOX from CVS, I already
have a previous version of it (before it was on CVS, patch for 1.4.0) running
with 1.4.0; it works very very nicely but I have noticed that it has a problem
that it does not log msgs with different UDH (wap pushes, etc..). I read this
happening to someone else, (Catalin to be precise) and Rene reported that it
was already fixed on the CVS version by changing the UDH to blob type.

Currently I have this working

#SQLBOX SETUP

group = mysql-connection

id = mysqlbox

host = localhost

mysql-username =

mysql-password = 123456

database = smsdata

max-connections=1

group = sqlbox

id = mysqlbox

smsbox-id = sqlbox2

bearerbox-host = "127.0.0.1"

smsbox-port = "13005"

smsbox-port-ssl = "false"

sql-log-table = sent_sms

sql-insert-table = send_sms

But if I run this on the CVS version, I get

I want to run a SMS

that on Redhat linux Kannel requires such packages as psgml, transfig, libxml
etc.I did a locate psgml and libxml which showed the packages are by
default in Redhat 9 apart for transfig which couldn't give the results or root
of the rpm.My question is:Do I really need  to reinstall all the packages
stated in the guide before Kannel can work for me?Is kannel really compatible
with Redhat 9. Help me go about this! Where can I find these packages that
I the ReadMe says I need.

Hello all,

We are using Kannel
with a GSM modem: what is the quickest and easiest way (for an application) to
determine if the modem sent the SMS or not? I do not need delivery reports,
just wether the modem said, “OK” or “Error”. Am I going to have to run a
web-server and use dlr-url etc? I could probably parse the bearerbox access
log, but that is a bit ugly, clunky and will get really slow when the log gets
full.

Regards,

Brent
