I don't care about the spam problem caused by the list distributing my 
address, but I do care about email going into the wrong box. What the 
author does to his email, shouldn't effect what the list sends me. How 
am I supposed to configure a filter for email coming in with random

address in the From: field. This message from you came with your 
address in its From: field; anyone who wants it has your address. This 
is as it should be: that is the purpose and function of the From:

the author?



People get enough spam without OO distributing their addresses.


The list always gives people's addresses (though some web interfaces 
suppress these).



Someone should look into and fix this problem.

Mathematicians will tell you that a set of numbers isn't truly random if 
duplicates are disallowed.  You seem to want a random ordering of the integers

Es gibt ein Problem mit neuen 64bit Windows-Mailprogrammen, dass könnte
hier auch der Fall sein.

Der Workaround ist etwas Frickelei:
* senddoc.exe aus den Fehlerbericht runterladen
   https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123728#c5
* eventuell senddoc.exe markieren, Eigenschaften - Allgemein -
Sicherheit (unten) - Zulassen - OK
* die Datei nun ins OpenOffice-Programmverzeichnis kopieren und die alte
Datei ersetzen
   (Standard: c:\Program Files (x86)\OpenOffice 4\program\)

Ist nur eine Vermutung, konnte es selber nicht testen.

eine alte "wk4" file von 4,19 Gb welche wahrscheinlich

Kann mich erinnern, dass ich frueher solche files mit

If you look at the raw SMTP headers that you presented in the first remark 
about From and To, you'll see that Reply-To has the list address, and also 
there is a List-Id field that could be used.  Delivered-To might be useful 
also. 

I know that some email clients don't present these, but it may still be 
possible to have filter rules on them.

computer-generated numbers is truly random.  Pseudo-random is the best 
you can hope for.

I am subscribed to a large number of mailing lists and this list server 
is the only one that ever happens on.  None of my other mailing lists 
ever send me messages that end up in my inbox.  But this one does.   I 
think the OP has a valid point.

On the page "IQ" is one solution to generating a sequence of random
numbers, without duplicating any numbers. For your specific use-case,
change the random number multiplier to 69, from whatever the formula
uses. Then, if there are less than 69 numbers in the initial column,
increase the number to 69, and create additional rows, and columns, as
needed.
In essence, you need to add one column, for every row that is added.

It might take as much as an hour or so playing with the spreadsheet, and
studying the formulas, to understand what it is doing.

This is the same idea as dealing cards from a shuffled pack. So all 
you need to do is take the set of numbers, shuffle them, and use as 
many as you require from the start of the shuffled list.


o Enter 1 into a spreadsheet cell.
o Fill down the column to 69.
o In a parallel column, enter =RAND() and fill that down too.
o Select both columns of cells.
o Go to Data | Sort... and sort on the column of random numbers.

auch wenn es hier unangenehm ist, andere Mütter haben auch schöne 
Töchter.  Versuch es mal mit der Konkurrenz. Ich hab Unmengen 
Kundenuntelagen aus der wks-Zeit, zum Teil noch in DOS. Hab es ebenmal 
probiert, neugierig,  und eine *.wks aus dem Jahr 1993 geöffnet. Bis auf 
einige wenige Formatierungs-Schwächen, perfekt. Nichts für ungut, wir 
wollen doch helfen.

After writing a letter in OO, there are many ways to send it.

The simplest would be to highlight it, press ctl-c, switch to the blank 
email window and press ctl-v.


If format and appearance are important, convert it to PDF and attach it.

If the receiver wants to edit the document, save it in the desired 
format, zip it and attach it.

Diese Frage kann ich Dir leider nicht beantworten - vielleicht kannst Du Dich 
selbst an die entsprechende Version erinnern. Doch hier findest Du wenigstens 
ein Archiv mit alten OpenOffice-Versionen. Ob sie aber unter Deinem aktuellen 
Betriebssystem noch laufen, kann ich nicht sagen:

Hallo Klaus,

kann es sich bei der ominösen Datei von immerhin 4 GB tatsächlich um 
eine von dir selbst erstellte Tabelle handeln?
4 GB sind schon mächtig viel; konnte Lotus überhaupt mit solchen 
Datenmengen arbeiten und auf welchem Rechner

mit welcher Leistung hattest du sie vor Zeiten erstellt?
Wenn du die alten Daten zufällig gefunden und bis dato nicht vermißt 
hast, können sie IMHO nicht (mehr) wichtig sein.


Von der Größe erinnert mich das eher an eine Grafik- oder Videodatei. 
Vielleicht kannst du mal versuchen,
mit einem Zip-Programm die Datei zu öffnen und mit einem Editor einige 
Hinweise zu finden (geht für Windows und xls bzw ods)
Du findest nach dem Öffnen mit Zip zB in der Datei "Workbook" Text, der 
in der Tabelle steht und kannst so beurteilen, worum es sich handelt.

I'm running Open Office 4.2 on a Win 10, 64Bit desktop with no problems. 
I've run this program for several years on ALL the Microsoft OS since 
XP. with no problems, 32 bit to 64 bit. AND on a 32 bit HP Laptop.

Inwiefern? Kannst Du mal eine Beispieldatei ins Netz stellen und den

 Kann es evtl. sein, dass einige der Zellen /Texte/ [1]
enthalten, und keine /Zahlen/, und deswegen nicht mitgerechnet werden?

Dieser mail-Server lässt in der Regel keine mail-Anhänge durch. Du wirst Dich 
also bemühen müssen detailliert zu beschreiben, was Du machst und welche 
(Fehler-)Meldungen Du erhältst, damit Dir jemand auf dieser Liste helfen kann.

Problème de licence

Le disque dur de mon macbook à été détruit. J'ai installé un nouveau disque 
dur. Maintenant quand j'ouvre un produit Open Office ( word etc..) il me 
demande la clé d'activation. Comment dois-je procéder pour que cela fonctionne

Go to NeoOffice->Preferences…
Click the disclosure triangle next to “Internet”
At the bottom of the disclosed list, you’ll find “E-mail”; click on that 
selection.
The dialog that results will ask you to locate your mail client. Click on the 
square button with “…” in it, and browse to find your mail client. Click it; 
select “Open”.
The browse dialog goes away, leaving you with the original window. But now that 
window contains the full path to your mail client. 
Click “OK”.
Now you should be able to e-mail documents.

I GIVE UP.  Tried SITES looking for a way to set up email.

My computer repair company,  two friends who know a lot about computers, all 
gave up trying to find a way to email a document from Open Office to someone.  
Microsoft documents no trouble sending a document email but cannot on Open 
Office.

I updated from XP to Windows 7.  The company that made the update tried but 
could not find a way to install an email account.  

I am hoping you have a “SIMPLE” 1,2,3, installation directions.

I would like to use my AOL account but I am flexible.

Diese Meldung ist offensichtlich ein Fehler in AOO.
Bei mir kommt diese Fehlermeldung sporadisch nur bei der Suche innerhalb der
Online-Hilfe,
trotz installierter und funktionierender JRE.

I don't use OO, but it seems to me that the easiest way to email a document is just to 
attach it to a regular email, like a Thunderbird post. You're going to name the document 
anyway when you save it--I assume you _are_ going to save it, or you'd probably just 
write it in an email to begin with--so pay attention to what directory 
("folder" in Microsoftese) you save the file in, and attach the file to the 
email and don't worry about
some feature that doesn't work.

Every once in a while the OO list server sends an email with the
subscriber's address in the From: so it goes to the Inbox: or Spam:
instead of OO:.

People get enough spam without OO distributing their addresses. Someone
should look into and fix this problem.
