You could try "save a copy" and edit that.

Any other ideas?

However, the .doc format from earlier Microsoft Write programs is

You can verify that the downloaded file is as it left the OpenOffice code

If your download doesn't pass, do not use it as it is either
corrupt/contaminated/incomplete.
Delete that copy and download it again. Wait until the download is

By "diamond", I'm assuming that you mean a rhombus (or lozenge) - an
equilateral quadrilateral?
Perhaps the diamond shape is actually a kite shape which would allow
adjacent angles to differ?

You say that opposing angles are equal and then give differing values
for opposite angles. So you clearly mean something different by
"opposing" and "opposite". Colour me confused.

The internal angles of any quadrilateral must add up to 360 degrees.
You appear to have two lots of 72 degrees and two of 60 degrees -
leaving you 96 degrees short. Color me more confused.

I figured I should be able to stretch a standard supplied shape, but
can't figure how to hold the plane of the equal angles so that the
distances from the points will vary.

The plane of the angles is the plane of the whole shape. How could
anything leave this plane - unless you have a special pen which will
somehow write in the air above your sheet of paper, or a computer
which can write in the air in front of the display?

Any pointers please?

Perhaps define your problem more clearly?

I trust this helps.

In order for an unsubscribe web page to work it would have to recognize
the user who's wanting to unsubscribe, otherwise anyone could
unsubscribe anyone else. To get around that a paasword system would have
to be established and the web page hosted and maintained. I fail to see
how that simplifies things.
Clicking on the appropriate link at the bottom of any message from any

Re: Open Office changing my document from word

2016-01-21 Thread David Rivers

There are many people here who are prepared to help others for free.
Hopefully you got this software free.
It's free because it is open source software.
That means it is transparent allowing you to copy the software and
change it.
Those of us who understand its workings enough to change it can make
changes to suit themselves or others.
Apache hosts the software and provides updates and add-ons but because
it is free they can provide no help desk service.
Therefore we users help each other, by politely asking for advice or
help from the group.
It is very difficult to provide or offer help to one who demands help
rudely like a spoilt child, then insults another user who is rightly
offended by this.

You might note that more flies are caught by honey than vinegar ... :-)

However Mozilla, which produced all these great programs has continued

I prefer this because of the mail integration with the browser and has
the added bonus of a composer for web pages. So you may wish to try
