Yes, I also use firefox 5. I just tried Firefox 3.X from a different machine,

I'll try the "full" reload when I'm back home.

Does the mail domains of your users addresses match the domains used in your configuration file of
SOGo? If they do match, change them. For example, instead of using "prodex.sk", use
"prodex-sk". As long as you don't use the new SOGoLoginDomains setting, the domains keys
defined in your .GNUstepDefaults are never shown.

[SOGo] Parent process consumes 100% cpu

2011-07-18 Thread Raffael Bachmann

Hi,

In the last weeks we are facing a problem with our SOGo server.
From time to time (sometimes twice a day) the parent process consumes
full cpu.
We tried several things and are out of ideas right now. It looks like
the child processes are somehow occupied in a request but do not need
any cpu and the parent process does something like busy waiting for the
child processes.

We are a company with about 30 users. All of them are accessing sogo
through thunderbird 3.1.10 with lightning 1.0b2+105i, sogo-integrator
3.105 and sogo-connector 3.105.
The server was running with SOGo 1.3.7 till today and now with 1.3.8,
but the problem is still there.
Many users have a lot of calendar subscriptions and the biggest
calendars have up to 3500 events.
We have a ldap directory containing our company addresses with about
1900 entries. We gave it the id public so that is the default search
base for email addresses. We thought this might be a problem since we
found out that a listing through DAV took several seconds. Setting
SOGoLDAPQueryLimit 15 helped with searching speed but the problem still
occurs.

I attached our configuration (sogoconfig.txt), gdb backtraces from
parent (parent-gdb.txt) and one child (child-gdb.txt), and a typical
extract from a strace from the parent process (parent-strace.txt)

Does anyone else have this problem or maybe even have a solution?

In the logs we have several strange entries.

Only if your authentication sources use a mail attribute as the UIDFieldName.
Otherwise, there's no need to change your domain keys.

Furthermore, I've already committed a change that will avoid any side effect of
the new multi-domains settings when SOGoLoginDomains is not defined. So this
constraint will go away in the next release (and is already gone in the nightly
builds).

For everyone's information: The main advantage of defining SOGoLoginDomains is
that values of UIDFieldName don't have to be unique among all domains anymore
but only within the same domain since users will now be identified as
UIDFieldName@domainKey. This identifier will show up in the URL and in the data
tables.

Re: [SOGo] Parent process consumes 100% cpu

2011-07-18 Thread Raffael Bachmann

Thanks for the fast answer.

How many workers would you suggest? I tried it once with 6 and 10 but
because of the memory consumption (swapping) the server became even less
responsive.

Right now we are using 4 workers.

Couldn't it be that this aggressive waiting strategy could even prevent
the child processes from doing their work by stealing them cpu time?
What could it be that keeps a worker busy for more than a minute in the
same request? Is it possible to find out in what requests are taking
most of the time?

Thanks

I think a system where the worker reports after finishing a request
might be better.
The parent process would only need to check every now and then to see if
some really strange things are happening, like crashed workers or
workers busy for a long time with one request.

Thanks for the fast answer.

How many workers would you suggest?
I think this depends on the number of clients which are actively
accessing your sogo server ;)
There are about 30 users with thunderbird open all day. And they all
subscribed many other calendars.

I can't recollect exactly, but to get this working properly, it's not
just a case of setting WOWorkers in the sogo config. It needs to be set
in a /etc/default/sogo file which overrides what is actually set in the
sogo config.

My notes on this are as below. Hope it helps: - ;-)

*Setting WOWorkersCount* :- bit cryptic as it suggests in manual that
any value you set is normally overridden by a value when started by
the init script in /etc/default/sogo. I tested by keeping the original
/etc/default/sogo with the PREFORK remmed out, and changed the
WOWorkersCount to 3, and restarted sogo, but the log showed only
WOWorker so the manual is correct, you MUST adjust the WOWorkerCount
in /etc/default/sogo NOT the std config file as any changes in the
sogo config file are ignored in this case of using an init script.
Also note that the start of the sogo log after restarting service
shows the value this is set to.

PREFORK = 3

I also forgot to replace the webserver resources. After exchanging them, the
problem went away.
My fault.

[SOGo] LDAP issue

2011-07-18 Thread Bo Lynch
I'm new to SoGo and to using ldap as well so any help would be greatly
appreciated.
I have a working SoGo server and allowing password changes with it as
well. Running Centos 5.6 with the updated versions of everything.
Dovecot, ldap, mysql, etc. The problem Im having is that when a user
changes there password via the SoGo interface it stores as plaintext which
in turns makes all of there mail not readable. What am I doing wrong...I
have spent the last 2 days reading and trying different things but must be
missing something simple. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Eric
I too would like to know when or if this is planned. I use wpkg to
push out most of my software and the existing Thunderbird 3.1.X branch
does not do extensions very well via wpkg. However Thunderbird 5.X
seems to do fine. We are about to push out 40+ new pc's and would love
to have this ready to go for them when we do.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo and funambol connector

2011-07-18 Thread Simon Veit

Hello Christian,

I now re-setup funambol, am using json_simple-1.1.jar and fixed a bug in
/etc/apache2/conf.d/SOGo.conf (wrong port).

Still no login-attempts in the logs.
Should I use the same db for funambol and sogo?

I seem to be blind.

Funambol 10.0.2 and SOGo connector 1.0.9 are working well together in my setup.

Have you tried json_simple-1.1.jar?

Hello André,

I don't even see any login actions in the logs neither in sogo's nor in
tomcat's nor in funambol's logs. I turned debug on for tomcat and
funambol in /opt/Funambol/bin/funambol-server.

All I found is that funambol tries to use SOGoOfficer:

Funambol/config/ca/inverse/sogo/security/SOGoOfficer.xml reads

  localhost

  2

Which reflects my SOGod-setting:
one:/opt# netstat -nlp | grep sogo
tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:2 0.0.0.0:*
LISTEN 10663/sogod

Could it be that Funambol 10.0 and sogo-connector 1.0.9 are not working
that well together? I could go back to funambol v8.7 but I hate using
old versions.

Simon

Have you configured it step by step as described ?

Also have a look at the logs of funambol

Hello,
I'm trying to set up SOGo with funambol.
I already managed to set up funambol so that I can connect to it with
the desktop admin program,
I also managed to get SOGo working (without funambol).

My problem is that SOGo connector for funambol doesn't seem to work.
When using the funambol webdemo (or trying to sync from my Nokia N97)
I get the message "Authentication failed. Please try again.".
I'm using funambol 10.0.2 and the 1.0.9-connector.

I also set up the SOGo Officer in the admin interface and set it to
port 2 on which SOGod is running:
netstat -nlp | grep sogo
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:2 0.0.0.0:*

[SOGo] event invitation recipient limit

2011-07-18 Thread Stephen Ingram
Is there a limit to the number of recipients in an invitation to an
event? I'm suspecting that is the reason for this error:

Warning
received code: 500 error:
http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml";> An error
occurred during object publishingfatal pgsql error
(channel=<0x0xb6f8730[PostgreSQL72Channel]:

I counted over 150 invitees for the event. I'm not sure why anyone
would even send such an invitation, but was curious nonetheless.
