[SOGo] NGImap4DisableIMAP4Pooling to NO

2011-11-08 Thread Julian Robbins

How safe is it to use

NGImap4DisableIMAP4Pooling to NO

ie connection pooling switched on. It's normally off by default and I'm sure there's a good reason for that in some circumstances - i just don't know why ...

Re: [SOGo] [SOGoCache]> an error occurred when caching value for key '/Calendar/personal+acl': "SYSTEM ERROR"

2011-11-08 Thread Julian Robbins
Hello Ludovic

Well on previous runs the sogocache shows up fine in the sogo log.

It appears that when sogo restarted its WOWatchDog process earlier on today that the memcache did not start with it for reasons unknown. Why after many months of faultless operation I do not know ...

Nov 08 06:52:54 sogod [21963]: <0x0x220a2e0[WOWatchDog]> child spawned with pid 21976

Nov 08 06:54:25 sogod [21978]: <0x0x21b6fa0[SOGoCache]> an error occurred when caching value for key 'davew+attributes': "SYSTEM ERROR"

after restarting memcached its fine now ...

there was nothing at all in the /var/log/memcache.log either

Any ideas ?

Re: [SOGo] Using openchange with usernames that look like email addresses

2011-11-08 Thread Wolfgang Sourdeau

Hi Jonathan,

I have set up OpenChange successfuly and it works fine when the usernames do
not contain a "@". Outlook seems to get confused when this is input as the full
mailbox name ends up being something like
u...@userdomain.com@openchangeserver.com.
This will indeed not work. Can you try by replacing the first "@" with
"%40"? This latter case should work. If not, it's a bug.

Great news! Does that enables Inverse to release a new connector?
No. Our hooks patch did not make it for 1.0, but then again, we focus on
Thunderbird ESR, which will likely be based on Thunderbird v10 and at
that time, we might see Lightning v1.0.1, 1.0.2 or whatever the version
will be.

So we have 2 months in front of us to get the hooks patch in, and add
some other minor improvements there and there.

[SOGo] unable to see mails in subfolder when SOGoMailAuxiliaryUserAccountsEnabled YES

2011-11-08 Thread Sebastian Reitenbach
Hi,

I have SOGoMailAuxiliaryUserAccountsEnabled, and created a second account
pointing to gmail.

I can see the folder list from this account, and also the subfolders, but I see
only mails in the Inbox or in folders parallel to the inbox.
When I go down the tree in the webinterface, entering the folders below the top
level, then the spinning wheel starts to spin, and after some time it stops
spinning, but the messages are not shown in the list. Also, usually when I
enter an empty folder, I see the message over the message list: No message, but
this message doesn't appear when I enter a subfolder of the gmail account.

Re: [SOGo] Wait for new SOGo connector or switch back to TB 3.1?

2011-11-08 Thread Brendan Murtagh
To throw my two cents into the mix, our users are and will continue to
run TB 3.1.x with SOGo Connector and SOGo Lightning (Inverse Edition)
because we do not run a SOGO backend. Our mail server already provides
GroupWare capability, but the regular Lightining Add-on for Thunderbird
does not support remote calendars using Web/CalDAV as far as I know.

Our users aren't requesting to be upgraded to TB7 or complaining about
the current setup so there's no reason to reinvent the wheel without
something solid and tested to use.

The changes for the calendar stuff should flow into the official
release of thunderbird/lightning,

but that is not inverse which decides if the patches get accepted.

Also, so Thunderbird 10/Lightning will be a long term support release?

This is the current goal of the thunderbird team

Does that mean SOGo Connector *will not* be updated for TB11+ until
whenever there is a new long term support release?

I can imagine that we could probably see a connector for TB11+,
currently the major blocker is the ligthning stuff which needs to be
patched correctly.

The integrator and connector stuff are apparently not that big a issue.

But I think we need first to get the TB ESR out of the door, then we
will see what happens afterwards

[SOGo] Assistance with delegated e-mail and calendars not appearing

2011-11-08 Thread Ian McMichael
I have a fairly new installation of SOGo using Dovecot, OpenLDAP and
MySQL as the backends on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. It was installed on 1.3.8b
and upgraded (without any issues) to 1.3.9 upon its release in the
Debian repositories.

I want to enable certain users to view the e-mail of others and to
create a shared calendar, owned by one user but able to be updated by
many. Most of the users' access is via the SOGo web interface, so this
is my first area of interest.

I have logged on as UserA and shared my e-mail with UserB. I have also
created a new calendar for UserA and shared this with UserB. However
when UserB logs in, despite receiving e-mails to say they now have
things shared by UserA, nothing extra displays in their folder tree for
e-mail or calendar list.

I have read the manual several times over the past couple of weeks and
again this morning to see if there was any parameter I had overlooked
that could just turn this functionality off. A week or two back I fixed
an issue in the Dovecot configuration where the shared folder list could
not be created due to a permission error. However, this should not
impact calendars as I believe they are stored in MySQL.

The logs don't appear to give any clues. I would really appreciate it if
someone could help me debug (and hopefully fix!) this?

Thanks in advance,

Does that mean SOGo Connector *will not* be updated for TB11+ until
whenever there is a new long term support release?

I can imagine that we could probably see a connector for TB11+,
currently the major blocker is the ligthning stuff which needs to be
patched correctly.

The integrator and connector stuff are apparently not that big a issue.

But I think we need first to get the TB ESR out of the door, then we
will see what happens afterwards

I would suppose so. And it really makes sense, the new release cycle of
FF/TB makes it hard to keep up. As long as the ESR version is always
supported, companies should be good. I don't want to make sure that
every version of Thunderbird works for my users anyways, if there is a
new version every 2 months..

[SOGo] Message in sogo log file with android CalDAV sync

2011-11-08 Thread Martin (Lists)
Hallo

I use CalDAV-Sync for android with success but on every request I got
the following line in the logs:

sogod[4167] -[WEClientCapabilities initWithRequest:]: Unknown WebClient:
user-agent='CalDAV-Sync for Android (gzip)'

It is working, so this is only an information but may be there can be
better handling if the client is known.

Is there something you can do about or shall I report this to the
CalDAV-Sync author?

regards

If you can't send email at all from SOGo web that implies a slightly
different error than just the mail spool issue. Check the main SOGo log
file and/or increasing the logging as per the article perhaps
http://www.sogo.nu/english/nc/support/faq/article/how-to-enable-more-verbose-logging-in-sogo.html

If its just a mail spool, try and see if its readable. You can use
Evolution to read these mail spools AFAIK.

Also check permissions, perhaps you have one corrupted email in the
spool, that can't be read by SOGo

are on track to be done for the Thunderbird 10/Lightning release?
I have signed up for testing, please let me know how I can help with

Also, so Thunderbird 10/Lightning will be a long term support release?
Does that mean SOGo Connector *will not* be updated for TB11+ until

Thank you very much for the information.

Sogo can authenticate with LDAP and so can mediawiki
(http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:LDAP_Authentication)

So you should be able to use the same LDAP for both systems for
authentication.

May be something relative to sieve server ? Is it really "port=2000", or
"port=2" ?

Have you tried:
SOGoSieveServer
sieve://localhost:sieve-port
in your .GNUstepDefaults file ? sieve-port is the port where sieve
listen to (4190 for a Debian Squeeze server).
