Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 78 Connector
Hi Frank, Thanks for the detailed info! It sounds like I need to stick with T68 for now, and give the SOGo folks more time to re-engineer around the major changes that Mozilla has made to T78. I have one user that keeps "auto upgrading" to T78. I will just need to disable his upgrade capability for the time being. Best regards, Greg On 11/6/20 3:58 AM, Frank Pauxberger (fr...@pauxberger.de) wrote: Hi Greg, I followed the steps at https://github.com/inverse-inc/sogo-connector which are the ones you will find in the README.md. The copy cmd generates the config for your site so yes, my lucky guess was I renamed it to my SOGo server's public URL. In the file custom//chrome/content/sogo-connector/general/custom-preferences.js I did the following demo: force_char_pref("sogo-connector.baseURL", "https://demo.sogo.nu/SOGo;); mySOGoserver: force_char_pref("sogo-connector.baseURL", "https://www./SOGo"); then I ran the build commands and zipped the stuff back into the XPI file. For that worked in the sense that Thunderbird found my calendars and my address book. What didn't work though: - Not the full address book was synced (according to Ludovic that is due to a bug in Thunderbird; there is a workaround using SOGo 5.0.1 and the latest SOPE version. That *did not* fix it for me!) - I cannot edit calendar entries in Thunderbird; when saving an entry I get the message that it recently was changed on the server and if I want to reload or safe anyways. Saving does not work after either. So for now I stick with T68 and the working environment, happy to test the "new" stuff though as well. In at least one case, shortly before the re-sync, SOGo replied with a 501 because it could not reach the IMAP server. In another case, there did not seem to be any IMAP issues, but there was a SOGo error that resulted in a 503 response to the client. I am attaching the section of the SOGo logs that resulted in the 503 error. Additionally, in this case there were two concurrent requests from the same Outlook client, a Ping and a Sync. The Sync failed. I am not sure if concurrent requests are allowed, so I thought I would mention it. I have packet dumps as well if needed. Officially manual configuration is not supported, but if autodiscover fails, you can still configure manually. The trick is to enter an email address with a bogus domain to make sure it fails. Autodiscover is not supported in SOGo, meaning it does not come with SOGo. You have to use a separate autodiscover script. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] At WOWorkersCount 600 keep consuming CPU and RAM with no clients connected.
Hello, We are hoping to support several thousand push email users using sogo. I am trying to push the worker count higher. Currently I am not testing any clients yet, just trying to get sogo to start with a large number of worker processes and sit idle. At 400 processes, they take 27MB (RES) each and consume no CPU (with no clients connected). That's 10GB RAM used out of 80GB total. Everything is great. Somewhere above 400, there is a problem. If I run 600, they keep growing and all keep consuming CPU. The log looks clean to me, all processes print "notified the watchdog that we are ready" and then no more messages. I set all debug options to yes in the conf file and still nothing. Zero messages in mysql error log. Load average goes above 300 and within 1min all memory and swap are consumed and the server becomes unresponsive. Is there any way to turn on more debugging? Any other suggestions? What average memory usage per worker I should budget for ? Re: Re: [SOGo] HELP ! Error message after CentOs upgrade
OK I find solution for my CentOs 5 x64 If we use yum update sogo , it disnt update some files as sope49-content, gdl1 etc I think it an very old bug :( So you need to remove them before update sogo see this thread : http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.groupware.sogo.user/7096 No my problem: Sogo start , I change permission on gnustep directory, var/log/sogo before sogo id was 601 now it's 610 I reload httpd service because I have a new sogo.conf with new path for gnustep before it was : Alias /SOGo.woa/WebServerResources/ \ /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/SOGo/WebServerResources/ Alias /SOGo/WebServerResources/ \ /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/SOGo/WebServerResources/ AliasMatch /SOGo/so/ControlPanel/Products/(.*)/Resources/(.*) \ /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/SOGo/$1.SOGo/Resources/$2 now it's Alias /SOGo.woa/WebServerResources/ \ /usr/lib64/GNUstep/SOGo/WebServerResources/ Alias /SOGo/WebServerResources/ \ /usr/lib64/GNUstep/SOGo/WebServerResources/ AliasMatch /SOGo/so/ControlPanel/Products/(.*)/Resources/(.*) \ /usr/lib64/GNUstep/SOGo/$1.SOGo/Resources/$2 So I can see login for Sogo but when I'm trying to login I have An unhandled error occurred. I was looking at the samba4 spec file from Fedora that is made for use with openchange (but for a different purpose than with sogo) and it looks like they package it in a way that doesn't conflict with samba3x. Here's a link to their spec file: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=samba4.git;a=blob_plain;f=samba4.spec;hb=HEAD Any chance a future version of your samba4 rpm could install along side samba3x? Looks like you'd have to also package updates for libtalloc, libtdb and tdb-tools instead of include them in the samba4 rpm. Thanks, Greg -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
