Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 78 Connector

2020-11-09 Thread Greg Miller

Hi Frank,
Thanks for the detailed info!  It sounds like I need to stick with T68
for now, and give the SOGo folks more time to re-engineer around the
major changes that Mozilla has made to T78.

I have one user that keeps "auto upgrading" to T78.  I will just need to
disable his upgrade capability for the time being.

Best regards,

Greg

Hi Greg,

I followed the steps at https://github.com/inverse-inc/sogo-connector
which are the ones you will find in the README.md.
The copy cmd generates the config for your site so yes, my lucky guess
was I renamed it to my SOGo server's public URL.

In the file
custom//chrome/content/sogo-connector/general/custom-preferences.js

I did the following

  demo: force_char_pref("sogo-connector.baseURL",
"https://demo.sogo.nu/SOGo;);
  mySOGoserver: force_char_pref("sogo-connector.baseURL",
"https://www./SOGo");

then I ran the build commands and zipped the stuff back into the XPI
file.

For that worked in the sense that Thunderbird found my calendars and
my address book. What didn't work though:

- Not the full address book was synced (according to Ludovic that is
due to a bug in Thunderbird; there is a workaround using SOGo 5.0.1
and the latest SOPE version. That *did not* fix it for me!)
- I cannot edit calendar entries in Thunderbird; when saving an entry
I get the message that it recently was changed on the server and if I
want to reload or safe anyways. Saving does not work after either.

So for now I stick with T68 and the working environment, happy to test
the "new" stuff though as well.

Does it need to be the fully-qualified URL of my SOGo server, or

"custom/mysite//chrome/content/sogo-connector/general/custom-preferences.js".
However, I do not see "sogo-connector.baseURL" in this file.  I see

Can you try to reproduce the issue in a constant manner? If so please

For me it only happens with Outlook 2016.  I opened bug 4422, not to

I am also trying to track down the same issue with Outlook 2016
re-syncing the entire mailbox.  In at least one case, shortly before the
re-sync, SOGo replied with a 501 because it could not reach the IMAP
server.  In another case, there did not seem to be any IMAP issues, but
there was a SOGo error that resulted in a 503 response to the client.  I
am attaching the section of the SOGo logs that resulted in the 503
error.  Additionally, in this case there were two concurrent requests
from the same Outlook client, a Ping and a Sync.  The Sync failed.  I am
not sure if concurrent requests are allowed, so I thought I would
mention it.  I have packet dumps as well if needed.

I reread this article four times.  I think he is only saying that
Outlook.com (or Office365) servers will stop allowing the desktop
Outlook client to connect via EAS.  I don't think he is saying that EAS
support in the desktop Outlook client will be dropped. Although I can
imagine that Microsoft might drop EAS support in desktop Outlook client
once it's not needed for their own services.   This is clearly a big
deal for SOGo.  Do you know of another source that might clarify this
question ?

According to the manual, autodiscovery is not supported in SOGo. That
means Outlook 2016 activesync is not supported in SOGo.

Is there anything I can do to get this going?

Officially manual configuration is not supported, but if autodiscover
fails, you can still configure manually.  The trick is to enter an email
address with a bogus domain to make sure it fails.

Autodiscover is not supported in SOGo, meaning it does not come with
SOGo.  You have to use a separate autodiscover script.

[SOGo] At WOWorkersCount 600 keep consuming CPU and RAM with no clients connected.

2017-01-09 Thread Greg Kunyavsky

Hello,
We are hoping to support several thousand push email users using sogo.
I am trying to push the worker count higher. Currently I am not testing
any clients yet, just trying to get sogo to start with a large number of
worker processes and sit idle. At 400 processes, they take 27MB (RES)
each and consume no CPU (with no clients connected). That's 10GB RAM
used out of 80GB total. Everything is great.
Somewhere above 400, there is a problem.If I run 600, they keep
growing and all keep consuming CPU. The log looks clean to me, all
processes print "notified the watchdog that we are ready" and then no
more messages. I set all debug options to yes in the conf file and still
nothing. Zero messages in mysql error log. Load average goes above 300
and within 1min all memory and swap are consumed and the server becomes
unresponsive.

Is there any way to turn on more debugging? Any other suggestions?

What average memory usage per worker I should budget for ? (27MB < ? <
325MB)

Saw this mesage once only " *** stack smashing detected ***:
/usr/sbin/sogod terminated"

Thanks,
Greg

Re: Re: [SOGo] HELP ! Error message after CentOs upgrade

2012-06-08 Thread greg
OK I find solution for my CentOs 5 x64

If we use yum update sogo , it disnt update some files as sope49-content, gdl1
etc I think it an very old bug :(

So you need to remove them before update sogo

see this thread : http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.groupware.sogo.user/7096

No my problem: Sogo start , I change permission on gnustep directory,
var/log/sogo before sogo id was 601 now it's 610

I reload httpd service because I have a new sogo.conf with new path for gnustep
 before it was : Alias /SOGo.woa/WebServerResources/ \
  /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/SOGo/WebServerResources/
Alias /SOGo/WebServerResources/ \
  /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/SOGo/WebServerResources/
AliasMatch /SOGo/so/ControlPanel/Products/(.*)/Resources/(.*) \
   /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/SOGo/$1.SOGo/Resources/$2

now it's Alias /SOGo.woa/WebServerResources/ \
  /usr/lib64/GNUstep/SOGo/WebServerResources/
Alias /SOGo/WebServerResources/ \
  /usr/lib64/GNUstep/SOGo/WebServerResources/
AliasMatch /SOGo/so/ControlPanel/Products/(.*)/Resources/(.*) \
   /usr/lib64/GNUstep/SOGo/$1.SOGo/Resources/$2

So I can see login for Sogo but when I'm trying to login I have An unhandled
error occurred. I check log and ther is on error just after logging
succefully

[SOGo] HELP ! Error message after CentOs upgrade

2012-06-07 Thread greg
Hi to all

I update my Centos x64 one week ago with yum update

Sogod was very slow and I try to restart I but when I try to restart I have
these message:

Restarting SOGo:
/usr/GNUstep/System/Tools/Admin/sogod: error while loading shared libraries:
libgnustep-base.so.1.20: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

Before message was : /etc/init.d/sogod: line 73:
/usr/GNUstep/System/Library/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh: Aucun fichier ou répertoire
de ce type

and I remember to have exactyl same problem here
https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists/arc/users/2011-10/msg00377.html

So I correct etc/init.d/sogod file ligne 73 with this instruction : .
/usr/share/GNUstep/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh It's correct first error but not the
second one --

[SOGo] ERROR: Python module pytdb of version 1.2.9 not found, and bundling disabled

2012-06-06 Thread greg
Hi to all

I'm trying to install SOGO2 on CentOs 6 x64

I read all the documentation Native Microsoft Outlook Configuration Guide
I add Sogo Nightly repository
I have some questions for Installation if I can just do
yum installa samba4 openchange sogo-openchange-backend
and go to page 11 to configure ?

Postfix (with mysqlsuppotr) and Dovecot are compatible ??

How can I import date from sogo 1.3 (with mysql database and ldap server server
1) to sogo2 installed on server 2?

Thank's in advance and have a nice day

[SOGo] samba4-4.0.0-1.alpha17.el5.5.i386.rpm - troubles installing on CentOS5

samba3x-client-3.5.4-0.83.el5_7.2.i386

Does SOGo or OpenChange use any of the conflicting files from Samba4?
I was looking at the samba4 spec file from Fedora that is made for
use with openchange (but for a different purpose than with sogo) and
it looks like they package it in a way that doesn't conflict with
samba3x. Here's a link to their spec file:
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=samba4.git;a=blob_plain;f=samba4.spec;hb=HEAD

Any chance a future version of your samba4 rpm could install along
side samba3x? Looks like you'd have to also package updates for
libtalloc, libtdb and tdb-tools instead of include them in the samba4
rpm.

Thanks,

Greg

[SOGo] Funambol connector + mysql ??

2011-05-05 Thread greg
Hi !

Ispend all the day to try to configure funambol connector on my centos 5.5 x64
server , Funambol ver 9.0 and sogo conector 1.0.8
I use LDAP to authenticate user for Sogod and Mysql for database sogo
First Is that such information is still valid?

https://wikit.firewall-services.com/doku.php?id=connecteur_funambol_sogo

http://www.clearfoundation.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,232/catid,33/func,view/id,24885/#24885

with Funambol admin tools I can see the users
I replace dbms=hypersonic with dbms=mysql and reconfigure MySQL settings with:
jdbc.classpath=/opt/Funambol/tools/jre-1.6.0/jre/lib/ext/mysql-connector-java-5.1.15-bin.jar
jdbc.driver=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
jdbc.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost/funambol?characterEncoding=UTF-8
jdbc.user=funambol
jdbc.password=funambolpwd

but I can't see the user I always see only 2 users , I remove them , restart
Funambol admin tools and these 2 users come back
I need to delete them in phpmyadmin for a right erase...

I try to sync with outlook funambol connector here the log:
