[VFB] Ta-tada-daaaaa....

2010-03-22 Thread Don Ordes
Just wanted to let all of you know my new website is up and running, thanks to
Darren MacEachern, whom you know as 'Pacres' here on the VFB. He stepped up
after my guru passed away in December and disassembled my website and put it
all back together again for me- refreshed and re-vitalized.

I want to thank him here in public for this important personal favor, as it
means a lot to me, seeing how I just got my 1st DVD off the ground.

Thank You Darren. If I had a 'Very Special Friends Page', you'd be on that
list. too.

Thanks for the concern. I was released Saturdy afternoon. Had minor
complications with a twisted intedtine or or something.

I did not feel the opeation although I saw them cut my jugular-then nothing
until I woke up in the recoverry room. After their pain meds wore off; The Dc
said I would feel some minor discomfort - HE LIED!. I had so much pain from
Gas, I had to get 6 doses of morephine BEFORE the dr arrived. He has me taken
to xray where hey found the twist. Back to my room and I was told that they had
to put a hose down my nose tounblock the twist. Again, HE SAID IT WOULD NOT
HURT! - He lied. It hurt tlike hell he whole two days it was there ans when thy
pulled it out.- ugly is not enought to discribe what came out.

I now weigh 156, am feeling better for the first time in a year, and can't wait
for Openining day. Going to rent a small camper (Retro-style) and me and
superpup are heading for some river fishin up north. My wife needs a beark from
me and my constant rouchyness.

I have got to sell some items on ebay, to pay some of the insurance. Books,

I think my Silverado is a proven fishing car, with it's Sat radio, back

makes the best detector made, usually I get trouble in small towns I
don't know about, but occasionally on the highways.

If you do 24-29 hours from Boston to Mountain Home you are at risk for
a ticket.

Also, a sweet machine is a 3 series BMW wagon, early 2000's nice, sweet
to own and in a pinch a great fishing car, I've tracked and fished from

Re: [VFB] Don O

2010-03-22 Thread Don Ordes

Pat,
The way to learn to rope-dub is to buy the DVD.
And the swap is only for VFBers who have bought the DVD.
This was planned a while back.
http://www.fantasyflies.com/ropedub_dvd.php

There's a lot to it, and the swap is to help DVD owners with the variations.
You can read reviews from VFBers who bought it at the
bottom of the web page.

Re: [VFB] My new fishing vehicle...

2010-03-22 Thread Don Ordes
C'mon, Peggy
Live a little. There's only going to be a hundred of these made and they're
only $310,000.00 each.
That's a steal!

Look what-all they've got:

Inspired by the Gurkha military vehicle, the KNIGHT XV is an ultra-luxurious
handcrafted, bio-fuel powered fully armored SUV. [That's right! It's a GREEN
MACHINE!]

The KNIGHT XV is powered by a V10, 6.8-litre engine and sits on a super duty
Ford modified platform chassis. It provides 400 hp and 498-ft lbs of torque.

The KNIGHT XV is priced at $310,000 USD. Only 100 will be made available as a
limited first run. Each vehicle takes 1,500 hours to build by hand.

The KNIGHT XV offers interior appointments including Wilton Wool luxury
carpeting; Andrew Muirhead leather; 6-way electric leather boardroom-style
seating; Tandem sunroof glass with privacy shades; Personal side-mounted lap
top stations; LED cabin lighting; Alpine AM, FM, CD, DVD navigation and
Bluetooth equipment; TV Monitors; Night vision and rear op camera system and
Playstation 3 (PS3). The cabins 283-cubic-foot interior is larger than the
interior of most SUVs on the road today and can comfortably seat six
professional basketball players.

The KNIGHT XV is built using ballistic hardened steel making it fully armored
including ballistic fiberglass fenders, bumper and up to 64 mm. (2.5 inches)
transparent armor (glass).

The KNIGHT XV is 240 in length [20 ft.!], 98 in width with a ground clearance
of 14 and stands at 100. Its wheelbase is 141 and has an armoured curb weight
of 10,000 pounds. The vehicle holds 40 gallons of fuel and sits on four,
LT40X13.50R20 Mickey Thompson Baja Radial ATZ tires with ballistic run flats.

Additionally, the KNIGHT XV contains an E-85 Ethanol conversion system (Flex
Fuel) with California emission certification, thereby making it certified in
all 50 States.

And a cool mileage of 1L/KM! That's 2.3 mpg!

So show up at the Sowbug in style next year. ;o)
You won't have to stop for those pesky ticketers, either. Just every gas
station.
