[videoblogging] Photobooth effects?

Re: [videoblogging] Photobooth effects?
You can drop an image in the photobooth folder and update the .plist file, but you can¹t apply effects to the picture unfortunately. The only way would be to load the picture into a camera, and select the camera as the video input... You¹ll be able to apply effects to it from there... //-- DAVID TERRANOVA d a v i d t e r r a n o v a . c o m From: Leslie Guttman [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: videoblogging@yahoogroups.com Date: Mon, 30 Jun 2008 10:41:59 -0400 To: videoblogging@yahoogroups.com Subject: [videoblogging] Photobooth effects? Re: [videoblogging] Re: Vloggercamp Who is going?
5 have paid - but there are THIRTY people on the list on the wiki, right? So. That's where it needs to be to start with. No we've got to persuade each other to put our money where our mouth is. Seems to me that all these people WANT to go, but need to know who else is going before they put their money down and buy their tickets. It's this point, decision time, when we all measure the mood and work out whether it's worth it to us, right? If those 30 people come - and more - this will be a GREAT few days. Not just hanging out in the woods with a bunch of video weirdos, but a time to really take things to the next level. The events list on the Vloggercamp wiki is still mostly full of ideas for tech lessons. But it seems to me that most of us who are going have cracked the technology a long time ago. We're not pioneers in anything any more. Everyone with a broadband connection has watched YouTube. Now we've got to figure out What We Want To Do With It. Both for ourselves personally - as a hobby - and collectively, as a group: where the exciting shit is, what the new challenges and opportunities are, to use bullshit Media Convention marketing speak. I've heard people talk about collaborative Shows, interactive storytelling, grassroots democracy journalism, becoming better filmmakers. What *I* want from it is to go and hang out with some of you cutting edge motherfuckers and come up with some stuff that we can do TOGETHER. Make some stuff there and then, and come away with plans for the next year. COME ON! Sign up, let's make this an unmissable event, a much needed turning point and new beginning. i left out in the hottest week of the year as in: 5 days away (including my daughter's birthday) when she's 8 months pregnant, in the hottest week of the year this by itself is a sackable offense, even if I was going for Work. [videoblogging] Fwd: [new-media-alumni] china earthquake
my friend from columbia -- Forwarded message -- From: C Huang [EMAIL PROTECTED] Columbia J-school New Media Program: http://newmedia.jrn.columbia.edu * http://www.nyc24.org --- --- Hi everyone, I'm doing some legwork for a television field producer who's trying to get help for kids who lost limbs in the May 12 earthquake in China. He's in contact with the families of 8 kids so far, ranging in age from 3 up. He's already in touch with Childlife.org, HandReach and Shriners Hospitals, and will be leaving later this month for China to see how many other children have been affected. Since there may be several hundred, we're trying to get a sense of the resources available. Could you please forward this to any hospitals, doctors, other health care workers, donors, counselors and makers of prosthetic limbs who can help? Re: [videoblogging] Re: Vloggercamp Who is going?
I would like to go as well, but am iffy about plopping down money on a flight if it might be for nothing. Though I am fine with paying the reg fee if it's refundable if the event gets canceled. I think this event can be fun *and* inspiring in a serious way, providing some good face-to-face interaction to ignite the sparks that are flying through the tubes. I am registering right now!
