First, forget the keyboard if you have attempted to connect it via bluetooth 
setting. With the keyboard on, The keyboard should have a pair button. Press 
and hold that for about 15 seconds and then try to pair the keyboard.

I don’t want to say you guys are doing something wrong, but since most
of the people who replied here said that it worked fine for them there
is always a chance that you are missing something (no offense).

I just tried shipping to another address than my default address using the 
latest version of the Amazon app, and I encountered not being able to proceed 
to the next step, just like some others in this thread. I've been able to do 
this before, though. I took the same exact, steps as you, Sieghard, and no 
dice. I double-tapped on the first line of the non-default address, then on the 
ship to this address button, but the next step never showed up. There was no 
continue button or anything, just the other addresses I have on my account. 
This is definitely a problem.

1. Place focus on the message you wish to forward. 
2. Single finger double tap and hold. 
3. A popup menu appears above the message and the last item on it is more which 
should be double tapped. 
4. A marker will be placed next to the message which had focus to indicate its 
selection and a forward button will be available on the bottom right of the 
screen. 
5. Double tap the forward button and a screen will open where you can indicate 
who the message is being forwarded to.

ok, so explain to me exactly word for word how you are doing this.  When
i 1st load the app, i see cart, so i click on that, and i can review the
cart.  When i go all the way to the left i see,

Then it lists the total.  I continue swiping right and it says

IOS 9 and blue tooth hearing aid streamer

My husband's Odacon hearing aids connect to the iPhone via a streamer 
via blue tooth.  With IOS 8 it worked flawlessly.  When we got our 
new phones with IOS 9, the streamer began picking up random bits of 
information every minute or so--like the last audio movie he listened 
to, or the last mp3 he played.  I can't find a setting to change that 
might correct the problem.  Can anyone suggest what to try--or, 
better yet, what would *actually work???

Double tapping the edit field should bring up the keyboard. Make sure that the 
edit field is actually on screen. I have noticed that there are forms where 
sometimes voiceover will continue to speak the edit feels or other form 
controls if you're swiping through. But screen focus is not moving. So you 
think your double tapping on a form field, but you're really not, because it is 
not in focus on the screen. In such case, you have to do a three finger flick 
up to move the screen by page until the form field you want is actually showing.

Okay.  I do a search for the item.  I look at the choices and double tap on
the one I want to order.  This is when I see the ship to button with my
address.  I double tap that button.  Then, I double tap again my city.
Then, I swipe right to find the add to cart button and double tap that.  At
that point, I can tap the cart button near the top right.  Then, I find the
check out button and double tap that.  You can then review your order.
After that, swipe to find the place order button and tap that.

That is the way it works for me.

I finally decided to order an Anker batterie this morning and to test
this all the way to the end where before I only went as far as the final
button. At first when I came to the address screen, I selected the
address of a friend in Vancouver to whom I shipped something before
because I happened to be there and it was faster to get it there. I
double tapped on the line that showed his name/address and Voiceover
spoke it and said “checked”, then after I did that I had a “Ship to this
address” button as well as an “Edit” button right underneath, I double
tapped it and it immediately went on to the next step where I could
choose from Free Shipping or Standard Shipping.

At that point I tapped the “Back” button since I didn’t want to ship
this to him, I double tapped on the line that showed my name and address
and it again said “checked”, then I had the “Ship to this address”
button on the next swipe right, I double tapped it and I got a message
that the item could not be shipped to the address. I had both a street
address and PO Box address in Line 1 and Line 2 respectively and I
assumed that maybe this was going to be shipped by courier and then of
course they can’t ship to PO Boxes. I tapped OK to get rid of the
message, then I was able to tap Edit and I removed the PO Box address
from Line 2 of the address, then I tapped again n “Ship to this address”
and now it went on to the next step. I was then actually asked for my
billing address and to verify my credit card which it was explained was
done when you enter a new address or edit an existing address. I did all
that and was able to place my order without any problems.



I don’t want to say you guys are doing something wrong, but since most
of the people who replied here said that it worked fine for them there
is always a chance that you are missing something (no offense).

pin it down.  It quite honestly doesn't make any sense.  I even went so

Well done you!! I am so relieved! i have not scheduled mine yet. If I might 
suggest something, don't do it yet. There is a period of time which is called 
"neatoising" your home. The first few times the Bot does his thing, he will get 
stuck in different places, will try to eat your curtains of the dog toys. You 
need to observe and adapt your house so that he can clean without misshap. Go 
slowly to start, get used to him and his needs, and then, once you are sure he 
won't get trapped by something that you can remedy, then it will be time to 
schedule.

Play with the app, emty the bin and sort out the brushes. This is all part 
of the learning curve and will pay dividends, in the long run.

iTunes and iCloud.com accessibility via Applevis petition

Maybe as a suggestion and an alternative or supplemental method of bringing 
this to Apple's attention Applevis could set up some sort of petition which 
people can sign. This might be easier for people than writing their own email 
and if Applevis could send a petition with a couple of thousand signatures it 
may also be effective.

I think this is definitely an Apple Accessibility issue since while the 
screenreader makers like Jaws/Window Eyes, NVDA etc. also need to do their 
part, I think there ust is not enough cooperation between Apple and them. It’s 
like Microsoft and Jaws, if you listened to Jonathan’s recent Podcast where he 
interviewed this guy from Microsoft who said that Microsoft has done and is 
doing a bunch of stuff to make things better and they are providing Jaws with 
the framework to make the experience better. It seems to me that Apple somehow 
is not doing this with iTunes and this comes down to a basic commitment by 
Apple to make iTunes as accessible as possible on the Mac with Voiceover and on 
the PC with Jaws, Window Eyes and NVDA.

There was an iTunes update yesterday, the current version is iTunes Version 
12.4.3.1. Unfortunately little seems to be fixed and certainly newer versions 
of iTunes 12 have taken steps backward with respect to accessibility. If you 
use the column browser with Genres, Artists and Albums, these list views are 
not read (at least not by the latest version of Jaws 17). 2 or 3 versions ago 
it would read them and, for some reason, say “L1” in front of whatever else it 
said, now it will just say List View.
I am going to write to Apple accessibility since while I use iTunes less 
frequently in connection with my iPhone, I still may want to use it at home on 
my PC and of course there are some tasks like syncing Ringtones etc. one can 
only do with iTunes. As Brian Tong from the AppleByte Podcast always says when 
Apple has dropped the ball on something, I would call this a “bad Apple”. 
Hopefully others will join me in writing about better iTunes accessibility. 
There are I think around 2,000 members on this list now and even if only 1 out 
of 4 took the time to send a message, maybe if Apple Accessibility received 500 
messages they’ll understand that this should be addressed. It would certainly 
be more effective than only 5 messages. And while people are at it, why not 
make the subject “Accessibility of iTunes and iCloud.com which Apple seems to 
think are not important to blind users”. I still don’t understand how Apple has 
done nothing to make the iCloud.com website accessible after so many years.

I totally support the idea of a blitz of Apple to bring their attention to the 
iTunes and iCloud accessibility deficiencies. This is absolutely unacceptable 
given how much horn tooting they are publishing about having blind people

Hi,

I just did it again, too.  I tapped on my shipping address, then I tapped on my 
city.  I think this has to be done in order to proceed.  I then could swipe to 
the add to cart.  After that, the cart button is in the upper right area.  
After you tap on that, you can swipe to the checkout button.  The secret might 
be tapping on your shipping address, then tapping on your city, then moving on.

It might be worth a try.

I finally decided to order an Anker batterie this morning and to test this all 
the way to the end where before I only went as far as the final button. At 
first when I came to the address screen, I selected the address of a friend in 
Vancouver to whom I shipped something before because I happened to be there and 
it was faster to get it there. I double tapped on the line that showed his 
name/address and Voiceover spoke it and said “checked”, then after I did that I 
had a “Ship to this address” button as well as an “Edit” button right 
underneath, I double tapped it and it immediately went on to the next step 
where I could choose from Free Shipping or Standard Shipping.

At that point I tapped the “Back” button since I didn’t want to ship this to 
him, I double tapped on the line that showed my name and address and it again 
said “checked”, then I had the “Ship to this address” button on the next swipe 
right, I double tapped it and I got a message that the item could not be 
shipped to the address. I had both a street address and PO Box address in Line 
1 and Line 2 respectively and I assumed that maybe this was going to be shipped 
by courier and then of course they can’t ship to PO Boxes. I tapped OK to get 
rid of the message, then I was able to tap Edit and I removed the PO Box 
address from Line 2 of the address, then I tapped again n “Ship to this 
address” and now it went on to the next step. I was then actually asked for my 
billing address and to verify my credit card which it was explained was done 
when you enter a new address or edit an existing address. I did all that and 
was able to place my order without any problems.



I don’t want to say you guys are doing something wrong, but since most of the 
people who replied here said that it worked fine for them there is always a 
chance that you are missing something (no offense).

I also tried to place an order on my 6 Plus using the latest version of the 
Amazon app and iOS 9.3.3. I wanted to change the shipping address to send a 
birthday present to my daughter. I also could not get beyond that screen, so I 
used Safari on my MBA to complete the order process. I tried the three-finger 
swipes to change pages and tapped anywhere I could think of to try to make it 
work. It simply would not.

I also tried to place an order on my 6 Plus using the latest version of the 
Amazon app and iOS 9.3.3. I wanted to change the shipping address to send a 
birthday present to my daughter. I also could not get beyond that screen, so I 
used Safari on my MBA to complete the order process. I tried the three-finger 
swipes to change pages and tapped anywhere I could think of to try to make it 
work. It simply would not.

Well, i had not 1 but 2 reps try it.  Both of them actually use it all the 
time.  I got lucky, they both tried it with voiceover and the same results.
I placed an order on the pc with no problem.  It's certainly an app issue.

There was an iTunes update yesterday, the current version is iTunes Version 
12.4.3.1. Unfortunately little seems to be fixed and certainly newer versions 
of iTunes 12 have taken steps backward with respect to accessibility. If you 
use the column browser with Genres, Artists and Albums, these list views are 
not read (at least not by the latest version of Jaws 17). 2 or 3 versions ago 
it would read them and, for some reason, say “L1” in front of whatever else it 
said, now it will just say List View.
I am going to write to Apple accessibility since while I use iTunes less 
frequently in connection with my iPhone, I still may want to use it at home on 
my PC and of course there are some tasks like syncing Ringtones etc. one can 
only do with iTunes. As Brian Tong from the AppleByte Podcast always says when 
Apple has dropped the ball on something, I would call this a “bad Apple”. 
Hopefully others will join me in writing about better iTunes accessibility. 
There are I think around 2,000 members on this list now and even if only 1 out 
of 4 took the time to send a message, maybe if Apple Accessibility received 500 
messages they’ll understand that this should be addressed. It would certainly 
be more effective than only 5 messages. And while people are at it, why not 
make the subject “Accessibility of iTunes and iCloud.com which Apple seems to 
think are not important to blind users”. I still don’t understand how Apple has 
done nothing to make the iCloud.com website accessible after so many years.

downloaded and installed it.  Big mistake.  Does anyone know how I can get back 
the music view which gave genras, then tab to artists and so on.  Or play lists 
at least.

Hi,

Try the app called "xfinity TV".  I've been playing with it a little and you 
do get DBS when it's available.  From the main menue, go to Settings then to 
accessibility and you'll find where you can toggle DVS on and off.  The 
listings show whether DVS and Closed Captioning are available.  The Channel 
picker and Channel Surfer are pretty accessible.  The "TV Remote" and the 
"X-1 Remote" apps have limited accessibility.  Some functions work and some 
don't.  I usually end up just using the cable box remote.

Thanks for that link! My friend is coming over tonight and we're gonna figure 
it out if it's the last thing we do. Lol. I just can't believe the problems I'm 
having. I saw the temporary access point once and it couldn't connect so then I 
reset my wifi router as I have to do sometimes and it's not showing up at all.

Sorry! I got behind with my mail for a while there!!

Below is a link to the trouble-shooting instructions for getting your 
BotVac Connected with your phone over the wifi.

Also, they do have both online chat support or a number to wring for direct 
help. The first question has to be, are you sure your Router is working on the 
lower 240 setting? I may not be quite accurate there, but it can't work on the 
500 setting. I seem to remember getting in a bit of a mess with mine, first 
time setting it up, and I had to do the wifi reset by pressing the front right 
corner of the straight edged bumper while holding down the right button for a 
few seconds. I think this is described on the below linked webpage. Once reset, 
I had to get sighted help to set up the wifi on the Bot again. I remember that 
until I did this, I could get it to be a temporary access point for me. I think 
I used this page to trouble-shoot, so, good luck!!

Sleep Machine ap questions.

Hi. Do any of you use this ap? A few questions for those that do:
1. Can I aprplay the sounds from the ap to my apple tv? 
2. Can I add sounds to my favorites?
3. Can I start a sleep timer before I start a sound?

Roger is another that was mentioned in a current thread.   They'll use cell 
data if you once take device away from your wifi.

Also there's an app called Roger which lets you use your phone as a walk-talky. 
To answer your second question, if you're away from home, then yes, you'll need 
cell service unless you can find a place that has wifi.
