If anyone was unable to download the ringtones that Kliphton shared, he said I 
could put them on my Open Drive account so people can get them. Here is a

In windows iTunes you have to have iTunes in focus to play / pause to have

I just had the experience of my phone refusing to speak. I tried all the 
double and triple tapping with two and three fingers, because I couldn't 
remember which unmuted speech. Nothing worked. Finally, in desperation, 
I triple tapped the home key to turn voiceover off, and isn't that a 
scary thing to do, but when I triple tapped agin, the voice came on again.


Don't know how many of you know this trick. I sure didn't, so thought 
others would like to know it too.

You have to hold the phone out from you about a foot for photo ID. Press the 
side button on the right side. If, for any reason, the phone does not recognize 
you, punch in your password code on the keypad that comes up. 

To close apps, place your finger at the bottom of the screen; you'll feel a 
little signal. Continue moving your finger up, one mor signal, keep moving 
until you feel the third one, then just lift your finger. App Switcher is open 
now. Swipe three fingers up to the top of the screen to close any apps you want 
closed. It should put you right back on the Home Page then. 

Use the same process from the top of the screen to get, first Control Center 
and the last signal gives you Notifications. When you cross any of these 
signals that you want, simply raise your finger, and it is opened unto you - 
VOILA! 

Rita Howels on another list had such good directions for that, that when I 
bought my 11, I never looked back, never faltered, just did it like I always 
had, and I am probably one of the oldest users on this list. 

My husband figured I'd have all kind of problems - didn't happen.

To close an app, you bring up the App Switcher by placing your finger at the 
bottom of the screen and sliding it up about 2/3 way up the screen when you 
feel a third vibration. Now you can flick up with three fingers when you find 
an app you want to close.

 

To bring up the lock screen, hit the sleep/power/lock button on the right hand 
edge of the phone.

Yes, please report this to  Apple Support. Call them, send them an
e-mail, do whatever you have to do.  This is a huge issue that's being
experienced by a lot of people out there, as evidenced by a thread
posted at the following link.

I called Apple Support, worked with someone and generated a case
number, which is:
101203846159.

If you call support, you may want to reference that case number and
have the support engineer look that the forum thread whose link I
posted above.

Don't be shy about this; report it to Apple and keep nagging them to
get this issue resolved. It's a huge bug that they need to fix right
away. Go after 'em and give 'em hell!

Glad you got everything straightened out with BARD Mobile and thanks for 
posting those re-initialization steps. I have come across those before but have 
never quite understood why you can't access such things going through the 
settings in the BARD Mobile app but instead have to go through Settings, BARD 
Mobile. I guess it's the way my brain works but I don't find that as intuitive.

Thank you Allen, Mark, and Josh. It was very helpful for me to know that the 
site was active.
The problem persisted this morning. I tried again what I had tried last night, 
but with no benefit.
I contacted my state’s talking library. They suggested I reset my password, 
which I did. With that, through Safari, I was able to login successfully to the 
Bard website, search for the book I wanted, and add it to my wish list.
The app, however, still did not work for me. So, I deleted the app and 
reinstalled it, but with the same problem. I then powered off the phone, waited 
five minutes, and restarted the phone. this time I was met with a screen asking 
me to agree to the terms, and to login. I was successful at this.
So this is one way of fixing this problem. While the phone was off, I received 
another message from the talking library folks. They suggested the following 
which, may be a more direct way of solving the problem. I included here just 
for people to know about this as an option. It might be useful with other app 
problems that we run across.

 

We suggest that you re-initialize the BARD Mobile app. To do this:

1.Close BARD Mobile

2.Open the Settings app on your iPhone

3.Choose BARD Mobile

4.Toggle on “Setting Initialization”

5.Open BARD Mobile again

6.Agree to the terms of use

7.Enter your username and password

Just out of curiosity, are you using the same device you were using the last 
time you accessed your books with BARD Mobile? BARD Mobile is not able to 
retain your books when you switch to a new device even if you restore a backup 
to it and the app is present on the new device. Several months between usage is 
quite a long time so I suspect you could be dealing with some other issue. Are 
you able to access the bottomline toolbar of the BARD Mobile app and double tap 
on the Settings button which is the third button from the left? If yes, do so 
and then double tap on User account settings and then double tap on BARD 
account and confirm your login information. There is an option on that screen 
to Send diagnostic log to NLS that you might try. The other option is to write

resolved.is there a problem with BARD Mobile?

Thank you Allen, Mark, and Josh. It was very helpful for me to know that the 
site was active.
The problem persisted this morning. I tried again what I had tried last night, 
but with no benefit.
I contacted my state’s talking library. They suggested I reset my password, 
which I did. With that, through Safari, I was able to login successfully to the 
Bard website, search for the book I wanted, and add it to my wish list.
The app, however, still did not work for me. So, I deleted the app and 
reinstalled it, but with the same problem. I then powered off the phone, waited 
five minutes, and restarted the phone. this time I was met with a screen asking 
me to agree to the terms, and to login. I was successful at this.
So this is one way of fixing this problem. While the phone was off, I received 
another message from the talking library folks. They suggested the following 
which, may be a more direct way of solving the problem. I included here just 
for people to know about this as an option. It might be useful with other app 
problems that we run across.

We suggest that you re-initialize the BARD Mobile app. To do this:
1.Close BARD Mobile
2.Open the Settings app on your iPhone
3.Choose BARD Mobile
4.Toggle on “Setting Initialization”
5.Open BARD Mobile again
6.Agree to the terms of use
7.Enter your username and password

time you accessed your books with BARD Mobile? BARD Mobile is not able to 
retain your books when you switch to a new device even if you restore a backup 
to it and the app is present on the new device. Several months between usage is 
quite a long time so I suspect you could be dealing with some other issue. Are 
you able to access the bottomline toolbar of the BARD Mobile app and double tap 
on the Settings button which is the third button from the left? If yes, do so 
and then double tap on User account settings and then double tap on BARD 
account and confirm your login information. There is an option on that screen 
to Send diagnostic log to NLS that you might try. The other option is to write 
BARD Support at nlsdownl...@loc.gov. They are very good at helping.

Not sure if this is on topic or not but I originally signed up for Disney Plus 
through my Amazon Fire TV and the subscription fee is charged through my Amazon 
account and my credit card on file.

 

I downloaded the Disney Plus app on my IPhone through the App Store but have 
not been able to log into my account. It says that they can’t find my email 
address. Is this because I subscribed through the Amazon system and if so, is 
there any way I can still use the Disney Plus app on my phone under the same 
subscription? There doesn’t seem to be a way to contact Disney Plus.

 

Any suggestions?

Not sure if this is on topic or not but I originally signed up for Disney Plus 
through my Amazon Fire TV and the subscription fee is charged through my Amazon 
account and my credit card on file.

I downloaded the Disney Plus app on my IPhone through the App Store but have 
not been able to log into my account. It says that they can’t find my email 
address. Is this because I subscribed through the Amazon system and if so, is 
there any way I can still use the Disney Plus app on my phone under the same 
subscription? There doesn’t seem to be a way to contact Disney Plus.

Any suggestions?

Yep.
I can confirm this bug.
I have change volume with volume buttons set to off and I manually change 
volume to 50%.
However, suddenly it automatically set itself to 0%.
I have performed a factory reset of my XR but it did not solve this issue.
So, this is actually a bug.
This is a bit annoying, so I hope it will be fixed in the next update of iOS 14.

Just out of curiosity, are you using the same device you were using the last 
time you accessed your books with BARD Mobile? BARD Mobile is not able to 
retain your books when you switch to a new device even if you restore a backup 
to it and the app is present on the new device. Several months between usage is 
quite a long time so I suspect you could be dealing with some other issue. Are 
you able to access the bottomline toolbar of the BARD Mobile app and double tap 
on the Settings button which is the third button from the left? If yes, do so 
and then double tap on User account settings and then double tap on BARD 
account and confirm your login information. There is an option on that screen 
to Send diagnostic log to NLS that you might try. The other option is to write 
BARD Support at nlsdownl...@loc.gov. They are very good at helping.

I’d call Apple Accessibility and see if they can help even though that is not 
an Apple app, there should be a way to login to your subscription from any 
platform I would think.

I like a variety, and don’t want to load them each  time I want something 
different.  So I make a list of the ones I want, and load them up.  Only put 
more on my devices when I find 1 I don’t have.

Are they different programs? I don’t understand why you would download the 
Microsoft store app instead of the app that comes directly from Apple. can you 
give us information about why are you feel it’s better to download this app 
from the windows 10 App Store?

I would like to instal iCloud for Windows on my Windows 10 PC, even though I 
appreciate it isn't all that accessible.  I have 3 reasons for wanting to do

First, I would like access to my iCloud inbox within Microsoft Outlook Second,
