Re: for vpn.

2023-10-14 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hello.I suggest Proton VPN. They have a free version that is just fine for common tasks, even video streaming. Their premium version will get you higher speeds, but if you only need to do basic think that don't require high bandwidth you'll be fine. They have apps for iOs, Android, Windows and Mac.The service was developped by the creators of Proton Mail, an email service designed to keep communication's private. The VPN service respects the same privacy standards. Finally, their website is protonvpn.combest.Enviado desde mi iPhoneEl 14 oct 2023, a las 2:48, alban hoxha escribió:

Re: Just Updated to Latest Apple TV OS on my 4K device and Mute and Volume Control No Longer Works

2021-11-04 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hello Mark.

I experienced the same issue with my pair of stereo HomePods which are set as
the Apple TV speakers.
I fixed it by switching sound output to the tv and back to the Homepod. If you
are experiencing the issue with the tv, you may want to try these steps with
Airpods or some other compatible audio device.

Hope this helps.

best.

Re: iPhone 12 pro max case recommendations

2021-04-09 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hello.

The Apple clear case is very durable and protects the back and side of your
iPhone very effectively. I had it since December and it looks brand new.
Although it can be expensive I would pick it again.

best.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. The button performs as the back button, and
the home button to the right of it is the equivalent of the home button on an
iPhone.

Re: Apple tv with voiceover

2020-06-29 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hello.

It is quite simple. After you plug it to a power outlet and to the tv, the
device will start. To turn Voiceover on, press the back button three times and
it will start speaking. The back button is the first on the left side of the
remote, right velow the trackpad.
To turn audio descriptions, you need to do it from the accessibility settings.
This will only affect movies from Apple. to turn it on on other platforms, you
will find it in the language settings of that particular app.

best.

I would suggest that you try Cash Reader. The lifetime license costs 17.99 but

Re: How do you send a new tweet with the Twitter app?

2020-01-09 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
In my view, getting used to the Twitter official app is the way to go. I don't
only follow blind people's accounts, and many of the users that post to my
timeline use features like surveys that are not available from third party
clients.
If the rumors that Twitter will open its api to let developer implement all
features, maybe I will consider a different alternative. For now I'm just fine.

Re: How do you send a new tweet with the Twitter app?

2020-01-09 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Alan:

If you have previously contacted that account, don't even press the compose
button. Open the messages tab and scroll through the list of conversations.
When you open a conversation you'll find an interface that looks very similar
to any chat service. Just tap the bottom of the screen, abobe the tabs to find
the text box to send a new message.
Also, you can find a specific username from the search tab and dm him from is
profile.

Best.

Re: How do you send a new tweet with the Twitter app?

2020-01-08 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hello Alan.

The button for composing a new tweet is located in the bottom right corner of
the screen, just above the messages tab.
Each tweet has Voiceover custom actions that let you reply, retweet, like, open
a link and much more by flicking up and down.
To dm a specific account, go to their profile, either from the search tab or
with Voiceover actions from a tweet this person sent and you will find the
compose dm button within a few fliks from the top element.

Hope this helps.

Best.

RE: VoiceOver not speaking ETA in Uber app

2019-09-26 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hello.

This isssue hasn't been resolved for several weeks.
The screen where you select the car, origin and destination, doesn't allow to
see the ETA and the selected pickup point, which are shown in the same field.
At the same time it doesn't allow editing origin or destination.
A workaround for this is to press the button to select destination instead of
choosing one of the suggestions that the app offers on main screen. Tha'ts how
you can insure that both origin and destination are right before requesting the
ride.
When your car is coming, you need to expand the card with all the driver's info
to be able to see the ETA. Before this change, the ETA appeared in main screen
and there was no need to expand the driver card.
Hope that with our reports they fix this at some point.

Best.

I updated my older phone, 7+, to iOS 13. This phone is still on 12 41. I tried
to update my HomePod, although it is set for auto update. I tried it on both
phones. I’m being told it is up-to-date with iOS 12.4. But I thought 13 should
be out for the HomePod. Does anybody know?

Re: Spanish VoiceOver annoyance

2019-09-15 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
I would preffer Apple to treat us as people with critical thinking. If the
letter P appears in a context where it means page, I will figure it out. No
need for them to interpret something for me that in lots of situations will be
wrong.

2019-09-14 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hello.

I don't have a fix but bad news for you and me. Not only with this kind of
dictionary issues, but also the fact that the Spanish voices are getting data
to make their English pronunciation better, which at the end makes Spanish much
worse.
I know of several Spanish speaking users who reported these issues with no
results.

Best.

Re: Money Reader not in app store

2019-07-22 Thread Francisco Salvador Crespo
Hey all.

Unfortunately money reader is no longer available. There is an other app called
Cash Reader which supports many more currencies and has much more reliable
recognition. It is quite fast and can identify bills even if they are fold.
Hope this helps.
