making and receiving calls since the upgrade
Hi all, Since the upgrade my iphone 4 s seems not as good when making and receiving calls. First of all to save lots of battery life I went in to settings, general accessability then I checked reduce motion to be on as this saves lots of battery life. found this out from a brilliant podcast look at www.frequencycast.com my samsung galaxy s iii is far better when making and receiving calls. hear in the uk I am with vodafone with my iphone and t mobile on the samsung. wonder if the iphone 5 is better for making and receiving calls after all it's meant to be a phone. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Hi there I think the only one is the trekker breeze. the apps on the phones are the next best thing or now maybe are the best thing. I managed to get the Garmin glo working and it is truly brilliant for acquiring satelites. when on buses and trains it makes a huge difference. Hi there probally so but it certainly works very well with my iphone. I have not tried it yet with my braille note apex as I am a bit scared of doing a reset. Apparently Mike May says it is difficult to pair with the apex or sense products. I do a bit of bus and train travel so it will be good picking up the sats. sometimes I loose the signal on buses. thanks then. Hi all, When using this receiver with an iphone how do you know the iphone is using the gps receiver. hi keith well i am very lucky hopefully as there are no piano tuners being training any more here in the uk i should be able to earn as long as i can hear. i can certainly see though where you are coming from. look at upgrades to jaws and window eyes but i am sure mike and his team at sendero will give customers a very good deal. if you look back as well as trying to run a business sendero have given the blind a truly fantastic product which is totally blind friendly. as mike is a blind person he see things from our point of view and i am sure they will come out with something like a maps upgrade that people can afford. but yes i can see your point but at least we have the choice now where before we had to purchase maybe one programme. yes again you are correct in people loosing jobs and getting funding for a blind person is so much harder now fine if you are in work like me and again i just so lucky to get the apex through access to work with the satnav on it. well he's to the future i still say thank my lucky stars that sendero did give us this app and for me tuning pianos it has made my life so so much better getting about. cheers then i just hope they bring all this on here in the uk. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. hi david i must say though as you have pointed out to the list blind square working with the other apps is so very very good. i have just had a walk down to the park with my guide dog grace and used blind square. first of all i just walked to the park of course i no the way but on the way back i did a route with tom tom now i must actually try the apple maps which must have got better since it was upgraded. all this to me is a supprise as i did not realise it was so good. do you just use the phone's gps i cT remember. it is that when on a bus you must have the phone high enough to get the gps reception. i must say i do proffer the idea of the online maps and will say this to the sendero team. thanks for all your infoe i am sure it has been of help to a good few of us. cheers there. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. hi there no sorry about that i was thinking of navigon which i do use. i also use blind square here in the uk and to be speaking truthfully it seem very good indeed. i am thinking about acquiring the garmin glo receiver which i could use with my android samsung s 3 as well as gps is so important to me. you do have to watch it though all these things cost money. i still think though if these apps the sendero one and the android one which sadly will not be here in the uk are anything like wayfinder then for me that will be a real real plus. also my actual google maps on the android phone work very well when you do a route if in a car someone who is driving can actually hear the instructions from the google maps app very well. it certainly is all happening all these gps apps i must say at least we are getting a choice much more than we used to do. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Hi David that's interesting about where you put the iphone. on my apex of course there is a strap which you put over your shoulder so when carrying my piano tuning bag to clip the iphone near your ear will make it better. so if your gps system keeps anouncing where you are that's a great help. I find when on a bus say I do not put a route in the gps as the bus goes round estates I just put in a destination and have anouncments to where I am. Now when I get off the bus I put in a route to the house where I am doing the piano tuning. braille touch
Hi all, Just joined the group with my other email address.
