Re: guitar tuner apps
Talking Tuner is by far the best because it is the only one I know of that tells you with speech output if the note is sharp or flat, and by how much. I learned from Talking Tuner that notes are broken into 100 cents per half step. So note a is 100 cents sharper than a g-sharp. So you might hear, a is 11 cents flat, or 44 cents flatbe so you have an idea how much you need to tune it. It's the best ¢99 I've ever spent. RE: guitar tuner apps
Yes. I tune each string. The app tells me whether the string is flat or sharp, or intune. It also tells how far out of tune it is. Harps need to be tuned often. So, I have my old iPhone 5S, which I keep charged near my harp for that purpose. guitar tuner apps
Hi Lists, Just wondering if anyone on the list is a guitar player and if so What do you use to help tune your guitar? I'm just trying to pick it up again again after years of not touching one, So I'm looking for an app I can have on my phone that will help me tune my guitar, What I've looked at so far is apps that have what I'd call embedded graphics that you have to tap on to make the tones for each string. Any thoughts from others would be appreciated. Cheers, Simon F -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. Re: Guitar tuner playing long tones for the IPhone
no no, theo ne i had was accessible. There lots, all called guitar tuner, Usually with some other term. The one I had was simple, very cheap or free, and simply called "Guitar Tner". I'd need to dig through my list of old apps for more details. I'm sure I ahd another which was just a chromatic tuner and more or less accessible as you icked a pitch and tapped it and it played continuously until you tapped Mute!. - Original Message - From: "Dionipher Herrera" To: Sent: Friday, May 06, 2016 6:49 AM Subject: Re: Guitar tuner playing long tones for the IPhone robh how do you manage to use the guitar tuner since it is not accessible? do you have a little sight? > Il giorno 05 mag 2016, alle ore 18:34, 'RobH.' via VIPhone > ha scritto: > > I used an app called Guitar Tuner, but you had to tap it to get a tone, and > it only lasted as long as plucking that string. Re: accessible guitar tuner with the iPhone6
Well, I've had guitar tuner, ukulele tuner and mandolin tuner all off the same producer. They all take this name format, are cheap, and accessible. Failing that, there are generic tuners, of which Talking Tuner is one of the more obvious since it talks and speaks out the percentage value of how close or far from a particular tone you are. Time consuming waiting for it to work it out sometimes; and do resort to tone based tuners sometimes. Having a pitch pipe is the obvious thing to have for that and keep it close to the guitar. In the guitar case for example. Talking Tuner is the one I use most. BobH. - Original Message - From: "John J. I like Talking Tuner. I think it is $0.99 or maybe $1.99. You play a note, and it tells you how sharp or flat it is, or that its in tune. Richard > On Oct 23, 2015, at 2:50 AM, John J. Re: Guitar tuner
I actually didn't work much with it after Anna told me more on the Talking Tuner. I did another search and found that the one Anna was talking about was $0.99 and worked absolutely great. The other one simply kept my screen on the 4s silent. Not sure what was going on with it but I deleted it. Hi Theresa, Could you tell me how to turn off the tones? There is a mute button that you can select or deselect, is that the only way? Double tapping on the button does not seem to stop it. RE: Guitar tuner
It makes tuning the guitar a really quick and easy process. I used to have to ask myself if I really wanted to play bad enough to go through the tuning ordeal. Of course the fact that I have a notoriously tin ear entered greatly into that decision as well. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Andrew J.
