Need to unfreeze phone and don't know how

2012-09-16 Thread Jen Colley
Hi,
Hi,
All of a sudden my phone seems to be frozen.
All my apps etc are there but the click sound that happens when you go between
items isn’t working and when I just touch something slightly something else
opens.
I also have music on that I can’t seem to turn off. I’ve plugged in the phone
to itunes hoping that would fix but not so.
What should I do next?
Sorry for the vague description just haven’t seen anything like this before.

RE: Need to unfreeze phone and don't know how

2012-09-16 Thread CD
Can you get in to your app switcher? I would clear that out. If you can't
do that did you try to power down the phone and power it back up?

OK try tapping the power button about six times. This should give you a
reset. It won't change anything on your phone but should unfreeze the
screen. Someone told me to do that once and it worked when I had to do it.

Just the slightest tap on something opens something else.

Example tap on messages and reminders opens and clicks are gone too.

Jen, you have to do the 6 taps very quickly. If that doesn't resolve it, do
a full hard reset. Hold the home and power buttons down for about 10

Re: Need to unfreeze phone and don't know how

2012-09-16 Thread Marco Zepeda
The other way you do it, hold the power and home button a the sane time for 20
second. And then after that turn it on.

Tapping the power button just seems to be locking and unlocking the screen.
 I will keep trying though.

OK try tapping the power button about six times. This should give you a
reset. It won't change anything on your phone but should unfreeze the
screen. Someone told me to do that once and it worked when I had to do it.

I can get into app switcher but as soon as I go into anything it doesn’t seem
to want me to clear it.
I can get to the place where it says slide to power off or double tap but
when I try to do this it just takes me back to the home screen.
Just the slightest tap on something opens something else.
Example tap on messages and reminders opens and clicks are gone too.
 Total weirdness.

Can you get in to your app switcher? I would clear that out. If you can't
do that did you try to power down the phone and power it back up?

 Hi,
 Hi,
All of a sudden my phone seems to be frozen.
All my apps etc are there but the click sound that happens when you go
between items isn’t working and when I just touch something slightly
 something else opens.
I also have music on that I can’t seem to turn off. I’ve plugged in the
phone to itunes hoping that would fix but not so.
 What should I do next?
Sorry for the vague description just haven’t seen anything like this before.
