I think the original price was $9.99. It was free during Thanksgiving
week. Perhaps they will have another extended sale over the coming
holidays.

I think this threath originally referred to the app called "Things" which was
free for one day.
It is a good app, but I think it costs more than a lot of folks would want to
spend when there are other good ToDo apps that are free, including the built-in
reminders.
I got it when it was free, so I don't really know the price.

Re: An accessible to do app free today

2014-11-20 Thread Chris Chaffin
You can turn on the reminder sync feature in settings.
>From what I understand, this not only syncs your current reminders, but also
>syncs any future reminders you create.
So you can still use Siri to create a reminder, and it will automatically sync
to the Things app.
Any reminder that syncs over goes into the Inbox folder for you to sort and
move where you want.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Re: An accessible to do app free today

2014-11-20 Thread Grant Hardy
As an aside, the native Reminders app supports multiple reminder list from one
or more accounts, so for example with my iCloud account I have multiple lists
like Follow-up, books to read, tasks, a shopping list, and so forth. These
aren’t exactly “categories”, but I did want to point out that you don’t have to
deal with just one list of all your tasks if you use the native Reminders app.
Since you can have multiple accounts, you could even have a tasks list that
syncs with your company Exchange server, but have a few personal reminder lists
on iCloud. You can deal with all of these lists in the one app.

Hi,

I like this app in that you can import reminders from siri. It is really handy
from what I have noticed. I have downloaded it for both my iPhone and iPad.

Re: An accessible to do app free today

2014-11-20 Thread Yolanda

Well, it has catagories--i.e. schedule, logbook, so forth that work
better for me and what I do with my job, and private teaching. And it
has a someday catagory that I so love. If Siri works for you I do not
think you would care for it. For me I have been looking for a to do app
for a long time and tried tons of them. This one is usually a bit
pricey in the app store if I remember, and it is free today.

What do you like about this app called Things over the native reminders app?
I’m going to download it but would appreciate any input that would save me some
time if someone has already figured out why this app has over the native
reminders app. I like being able to tell Siri to remind me to do something
instead of having to go in and open an app and type out my to do. :)

Re: An accessible to do app free today

2014-11-20 Thread Grant Hardy
You also may be eligible for a refund from Apple. When you get the Email from
the App Store with your receipt, you can select the “Report a problem” link and
sign in with your Apple ID. Follow the directions and describe the problem
(e.g. the app is inaccessible with VoiceOver) and I see no reason why a refund
wouldn’t be granted. If ever the developer implements accessibility in the app,
you can buy it again. There is no point contacting the developer to ask for a
refund, since developers don’t handle payment or refunds in Apple’s App Stores.
