RE: New Apple ID

2017-02-27 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Mike,

It’s definitely better if you create a separate Apple Id for her because if you
log in with the same Apple Id on both devices you may both get each other’s
iMessages and Facetime calls. Also, if you are subscribing to Apple Music or
may do so in the future you could sign up for a family plan for $14.99 a months
(only $5 more than an individual plan) and if you each have your Apple Id’s you
get individual music recommendations etc. If you want you could use the same
Apple Id for the app store and iTunes and this way your wife would have access
to everything you ever bought in terms of apps or music, but if you add her as
a family member she would also have access to most apps as most of them allow
for family sharing so if the main family member/organiser buys the app
everybody else who is in the family group has access to the app as well.
If you are having problems setting up her Apple Id on the iPhone, you may want
to try on the computer and go to http://appleid.apple.com

Sieghard

Subject: New Apple ID

Hi All,

I was trying to create a new Apple ID for my wife, on her SE model iPhone with
iOS 9.33.
I put in all the info email address, password, ID verification questions /
answers, etc. I didn't put in an emergency email. After I got all the info
put in, I didn't get a, Done button, or anything. I just had that message
that states Apple uses incription blah blah, but I was not given any options
to continue any further.

Being that we are on the same Verizon account, would I put my Apple ID /
password into her phone instead of trying to create a new account / ID? All
help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
Take care.

RE: New Apple ID

2017-02-27 Thread Cristóbal
I’m the organizer with my mother and sister as family members. My wife’s always
used my ID for apps and whatnot, but is signed into Facetime, iMessages and
whatever other services with her own Apple ID on herAir II and iPhone SE. Not
a concious decision per say, but that’s how we started back when we got her
iPad II before family sharing became a thing and have just left it since it
hasn’t made much sense to change it.

2017-02-27 Thread Mike B.
We would like for my wife to have her own account mainly because she uses
her SE iPhone for totally different things than I do. We don't need to be
sharing apps that 1 or the other won't be using etc. We won't be
downloading music, & anything like that, but what she mainly needs is to get
an ID / account started so we can back-up her iPhone. Backing up her phone
is our main goal for now, & once we learn more about using other functions /
tools of the device, then we'll expand on how we use the devices. We are
very new to the smart phones, & we need to master the basics first. Thanks
much.

RE: New Apple ID?

2018-10-17 Thread Ted Sparks
Thank you Richard, I have tried several different Apple phone numbers, but not
this one. I will give it a try. My phone has been locked because of password
problems. I have talked to 3 different Apple technicians on the phone and been
to the Apple store twice in the past 10 days and am getting very frustrated.

They have tried 2 different times to send me a new password over email and it
hasn’t worked.

You can log out of the current one, and create a new one, but your apps will
not be associated with that new ID.

RE: new apple id not possible without any payment method?

2015-04-04 Thread Richard Turner
Try downloading a free app on your device.
It has been a long time since I did this, but when I chose to create an Apple
ID that way, a payment method of "none" was an option.

I thought they now allowed that when creating an ID from the web site, but like
I say, it has been a long time.

If all else fails, try calling Apple Accessibility.

Good luck,
Richard
