I just got a new plan with Verizon called their save plan, which is $60 a month for 2 GB or $50 for 1 GB. I had been paying $90 before for 2 GB, but called and switched over to this plan when my other one ended. The only catch is you can't use hot spots, but if you only have an iPhone that doesn't matter. Sarah -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. If TMobile coverage is good in your area, I can say without a doubt that they are outstanding and the call quality with either WiFi calling or Voice Over LTE is excellent. Their LTE speeds are really good especially if you live in an area where they have upgraded to wide band LTE. They will even pay your ETF to switch over. Hi Joseph, I don’t want to be negative here, but one thing I always wonder about is how people sign up for these super expensive plans and feel they are getting their money’s worth when in fact these plans are a rip-off. Cellular plans in the US as well as in Canada for the most part are a rip-off compared to what you can get in most of the rest of the world, but you do start to see MVNO’s which start to offer reasonable plans although with them it is betterif you just buy your phone outright from Apple and I know that in the States that is still an issue and I believe you can’t even walk into an Apple store on launch day or within the first few weeks and buy an unlocked phone at full price. At least here in Canada that is possible. RE: a couple loose ends with my iPhone 6 plus
Hi Charles, And I bet there are plenty of people who had a bad experience with Verizon and who wouldn’t touch them with a ten foot or even 20 foot pole. From time to time the proverbial shit happens and a company or store or organization you deal with screws up. I own a retail store and try my darndest to provide excellent customer service,, but I had customers storm out yelling that they never set foot into my business again and whatever perceived injustice was just the worst case of customer service they experienced and others tell me that I am the best guy to deal with and they couldn’t be happier. Anytime a company has millions of customers or even dozens of customers for that matter, it is inevitable that somebody has a bad experience. a couple loose ends with my iPhone 6 plus
First, for any of you following my adventure with the AT&T Next plan, you might remember that I tried to pay off that plan with the My AT&T app; and, while the app did offer me the opportunity to pay off the installment plan, in the end, it credited the payment to my combined billing regular phone bill. I then called AT&T twice, and they said they would fix; but, if it didn't go through for some reason, I could call back for a refund within seventy-two hours. Needless to say, when I got my phone bill for the second time with the Next plan still in place; I did call back for the refund; and, surprisingly, it did indeed get credited to my card within the 72 hours. Both AT&T agents told me I could go to an AT&T store, where they could actually get the paying off of the plan to work; but, what with Christmas and all, I'll likely just hold off a bit. Second, in one of my messages regarding my 6 plus, I mentioned wanting to get a case with a built-in screen protector. And, I finally settled on the ArmorBox i-Blason model. It does have the built-in screen protector, and the phone fits snugly in the case. No instructions came telling how to put the phone in the case, although there is a video on thei-blason.com web site. All the ports are covered, and the case has held up quite well so far. I purchased the case from Amazon for about twenty-six dollars including the shipping, was given tracking information, right down to the fact that I should check my mailbox for the delivery, but the case may also be had from the i-Blason site.
