google drive
Hi. If anyone is familiar with google drive I could use some help. I need to read some information using drive and my Focus 14 for church tomorrow, and I can’t seem to get drive to back up to my phone. The document shows up on the computer, but does not show up on my phone. When I do an insert f 11 to check when google updated it says updated one minute ago. When I go to drive on my phone it does not show the document and it shows the 12 items I deleted from drive on the computer. I am running windows 10 and JAWS 20 20 on the computer and IOS 13.2.3 on an IPhone 7 with the latest update to both drive and docs. If anyone could offer some help I’d appreciate it. AFAIK, once an item is deleted/removed from Drive, it's gone. It doesn't show up when searching and the concept of Trash folder may be a desktop meta for. For example, when removing an app or folder from iOS device: it doesn't go into a Trash folder. google drive are you referring about driverless car designed and set up by google. anyway, about going to trash issu, go to folder and pick trash, then change for edit to done, then mark any posts as manyt as you want to get rid, then go to delete and click it. sometimes many posts on trash do have automatic removal themselves. did I answer you? I found the Google Drive option. On the list of saved documents choose Edit. Then select which document you want. Then go back up to the edit choices at the top. Choose Share. You can choose to share doc as KNFB format or txt or rtf. Then you can choose Airdrop, Message, Mail, and Google Drive. I find not having Dropbox as a choice harder to deal with. Hi All, I am aware that VoiceDream can access books from within Drop Box, but can it also access books from within Google Drive? I recently installed the Google Drive app on my iPhone, placed a zipped folder into the main Google Drive folder using my computer, but when I open the Google Drive app on my iPhone, the zipped folder cannot be seen. I have placed other items into the Google Drive folder and they are visible. I also waited a very considerable amount of time to allow the zipped folder to upload to Google Drive but still nothing. Hi all, For those that uses google drive, is there a simple way to import a streem of files, say, about 100 files on a foulder to 'on the device' view while offline? If not, what will be the way to do it, without needing to select each file and copy it to the device view? Hi all, There are some questions i have about using google drive on the iOS. Just wondering, is there any vo specific podcast or tutorial for Google Drive, specially the foulder management? I think, i have all my foulder sharing sit on in-coming. How can i move some of the foulder to on-device so that i can view and eddit it when i'm, perhaps offline? Hi Nimit, I created a sub-folder in my google drive and tried to move a file. It also didn't work for me. I have no idea why this is. The only suggestion apart from writing to the developer letting them know of this issue would be to install the Google Drive app on your desktop. This creates the Google Drive shared folders on your PC, if you move the file on your PC to the folder you want, this should then be reflected in the Google Drive app on your phone. If you have Windows 8.1, consider using OneDrive from Microsoft. They will give you seven GB right off the bat, then 3 GB when you turn on your photo stream and synch it to one drive. All my photos were uploaded. Microsoft is giving away an additional 100 GB of OneDrive storage with 100 bing rewards. For me this amounts to a week's worth of Web searches. Double tap this button: in the menu that appears, there is a move to option. This should do it for you. If not, you can always use the search field. Downloading content from Google Drive to iPad
Hello list, So I’m sending an iPad to my in-laws in Germany and am trying to get some photos on to it for them. The iPad is associated with my mother-in-law’s Apple ID so my understanding is that I can’t just plug it into my computer and transfer them that way. It’s upwards of 9 gb of photos. I figured the simplest way to get them on there was to download Google Drive and install it on her iPad and log in with my wife’s Drive information as they’re all backed up to there. And indeed, everything shows up from within the app. My question now is… How can I download photos/files from Google Drive to the actual iPad? I’ve poked around online and have come across information on how to upload documents to google Drive, but nothing really about getting a batch of pictures off Google Drive and on to the iPad. I’d like to do this on my end before sending the tablet to my in-laws as they’re not technologically inclined and I don’t know how reliable their Internet connection is. If anyone can shed some light on how this could be done with Google Drive or even some other means, I would very much appreciate it. Again, we’re talking about 9 gb of pictures so Drop box or even iCloud isn’t an option. Actually, you should be able to just copy them over. First, make sure iTunes is not set to load automatically when you plug in an iDevice. You do not need iTunes for this. Take a picture with the iPad to make sure you have one photo on it already, though that may not be necessary. Plug the USB cable into the computer and the iPad. Use Windows explorer to navigate to the iPad. Just keep selecting and hitting enter on the folders until you either get an empty folder, or find a folder with an image file. Then, navigate to the folder where your photos are stored, select all, copy, and alt-tab back to the iPad and paste. Plan to wait a good while for them all to copy. Then, open the photos app, and they should all be there. Would you happen to know if the folder structure would be maintained if I copy over folder by folder instead of just dumping all the pictures together? We’ll probably use Photo Stream or some other solution for future picture taking, but it’s getting this first dump of 9 gb plus of photos on to their iPad that’s the rub. I suspect if the folder structure is the same as on an iPhone, it probably would work. If you have the photos in different folders on the Windows machine, your guess is as good as mine. It is worth a try with a folder or two, and see what happens. I'd be interested to hear. Google Drive is quite accessible from a PC or a Mac using Chrome and ChromeVox. I also wouldn't assume Google products won't get more accessible over time. Google Maps, ChromeOS, Android, Chrome with ChromeVox and so on have all improved accessibility tremendously over the last few years. Hi Clifton and All, I just went back into Google Drive to see if I had better luck with accessing my photo library, but no such luck. I do have photo stream off and I was wondering if this would make a difference or not in uploading them to Google Drive. I do have Chrome installed on the phone, so I give that a try also. The last time I tried it, which was some months ago, it was accessible for viewing documents, but editing was another story entirely. google drive against dropbox
Hello all, Dropbox works fine for me however, there seems sometimes problems with shared folders: People can't see what I put in the shared folder or I can't what they put in the shared folder. This seems to happen when the folder isn't used for a while. I mean: I am not 100 % shore that the share works always. I am also a little bit disappointed that I can put entire folders offline. in dropbox nd google drive as well I see no limitation of iOS why this couldn't be done. I see googles attempt to jump on the storage band wagon, I signed up just to check out the accessibility. But personally, I like sky drive, it gives me 25 GB of free space, and works just like googl drive, and drop box, and already has a IOS app. So I can share, edit, and modify all my documents across all computers and devices.
