RE: Greeting for Voicemail question.

2020-01-13 Thread Anne West
I recorded my greeting from my land line a long time ago. It's clearer done on
a land line. Yes, I have one of those things and use it a lot!

I just tried recording my greeting with my EarPods, and it does not get rid of
that stop that comes on before the greeting is recorded or played. The only way
that I know to get rid of that is to record your greeting from my landline.
Some carriers allow you to call your cell phone number from a landline and
access your voicemail by hitting the pound key and then entering your password.
Then it will give you options. Recording greeting is one of those. That is the
only way that I have seen that you can get rid of that stop in your recording

Re: voicemail question

2019-04-18 Thread Richard
Has anyone experienced not being able to play voice mail more than once?
I have run into this on an SE and 7 phones.
Double-tapping on the sender or play yields no results.
Is this a IOS bug, or a carrier issue.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

That is because you have basic voice mail and not visual voice mail.
With basic voice mail you tap on the Call Voice Mail button, you then are
connected to your voice mail where you can listen to your messages and press
various buttons to delete a message, save it again etc.
With visual voice mail after you go to the voice mail tab you are presented
with something like an Inbox where any calls you received where the caller
left a voice mail are displayed in a list. You can then tap on any of these
and you can play the voice mail, read a transcript of the text (that often
is very bad since iOS basically tries to understand whatever the caller says
and then translates it into text) and you have buttons to delete the voice
mail and maybe some others. If you have visual voice mail any messages you
delete are placed in a deleted section where you can still recover them for
a time if you wish.

Janet, you need to keep flicking to the right to clear them.

First, you will find deleted ones, double-tap; flick right to Clear All.

Subject: Re: voicemail question

Hi Anthony,

Just below the Voicemail heading, you'll find a Deleted Messages
button that goes all the way across the screen. Once you double-tap
it, you'll be on a screen listing all of your deleted voicemail. You
can delete an indivdual message by touching it, flicking up or down to
Clear, and double-tapping. Or double-tap the Clear All button in the
upper right corner to get rid of all of them. If you use Clear All,
you'll be asked if you're sure; flick to Clear All, and double-tap.

Best,
Anna

Hi Denise,

When you delete voicemail messages, they go into a holding area
called Deleted Voicemail. You should find a button for it on the
voicemail screen. Maybe you haven't deleted messages from there. If
that's the case, open Deleted Voicemail. It includes a Clear All
button you can use to empty everything out.

Best,
Anna

RE: voicemail question

2019-04-17 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
That is because you have basic voice mail and not visual voice mail.
With basic voice mail you tap on the Call Voice Mail button, you then are
connected to your voice mail where you can listen to your messages and press
various buttons to delete a message, save it again etc.
With visual voice mail after you go to the voice mail tab you are presented
with something like an Inbox where any calls you received where the caller left
a voice mail are displayed in a list. You can then tap on any of these and you
can play the voice mail, read a transcript of the text (that often is very bad
since iOS basically tries to understand whatever the caller says and then
translates it into text) and you have buttons to delete the voice mail and
maybe some others. If you have visual voice mail any messages you delete are
placed in a deleted section where you can still recover them for a time if you
wish.

Re: voicemail question

2019-04-16 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi Anthony,

Just below the Voicemail heading, you'll find a Deleted Messages button that
goes all the way across the screen. Once you double-tap it, you'll be on a
screen listing all of your deleted voicemail. You can delete an indivdual
message by touching it, flicking up or down to Clear, and double-tapping. Or
double-tap the Clear All button in the upper right corner to get rid of all of
them. If you use Clear All, you'll be asked if you're sure; flick to Clear All,
and double-tap.

Best,
Anna

Hi Denise,

When you delete voicemail messages, they go into a holding area called Deleted
Voicemail. You should find a button for it on the voicemail screen. Maybe you
haven't deleted messages from there. If that's the case, open Deleted
Voicemail. It includes a Clear All button you can use to empty everything out.

Re: voicemail question

2019-04-15 Thread GARY WILLIAMS
Hi,
I have blocked some calls that I didn’t know the person. They can call back,
and if they leave a voice mail, it will go in to blocked messages. I had to go
in to my blocked messages and clear them, or delete them. Hopefully I didn’t
confuse you. Verizon is our carrier. They helped us figure it out, and from
time to time, we still have to go in and clear our blocked voicemail, even
though we don’t get the calls because they have been blocked.

Re: voicemail question

2019-04-15 Thread Victor Gouveia

It may be that your plan only includes basic voicemail.

In order to get more space on your voicemail, you may have to subscribe to a
bigger plan, like extended voicemail or something like that. Check with
your provider for your options.

RE: Visual voicemail question

2013-11-15 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Doug,

Visual Voicemail is a feature your carrier has to add to your account. I
just signed up for it to try it and after it was added to my account I now
just double tap the Voicemail tab at the bottom right of the Phone app and
it's like an Inbox where my Voicemails are listed, there is a More button
for each where I have buttons to call back etc. and of course there is a
Play button, works like a charm.

Regards,
Sieghard

Re: voicemail question

2013-06-02 Thread Lisa belville
Hi. Just a shot in the dark, but if you're a Verizon Wireless customer and
you call someone from your iPhone it bypasses the new voice mail system.
You get the old prompts and options you did with the Haven, so you can still
send a message that way.

Woops, precoffee. . . I mean that if I call my mobile/iPhone number from my

someone via this system by just entering their number and verifying it, etc.

Hi. Just a shot in the dark, but if you're a Verizon Wireless customer
and you call someone from your iPhone it bypasses the new voice mail
system. You get the old prompts and options you did with the Haven, so you
can still send a message that way.

Chocolate is the answer... who cares what the question is!

Subject: voicemail question

Hello Listers,
How would I go about leaving a voicemail for some one, with out actually
calling the number. I remember when I had the haven I could call my own
voicemail and press pound or star and I was able to dile the persons phone
number and could leave them a voicemail that way. Now I am using the
iPhone 4s and I can't seem to do that. Can some one please help?

Thanks
Michael

Re: voicemail question

2013-06-02 Thread Arianna
Double-On the number one when you get to the keypad, and you will answer your
regular voice mailbox. Go to the keypad in the phone app, and flicked to the
number one. Then, perform a double-tap and hold gesture on it. This will open
up your regular voicemail box.

Thanks,
Ari
