Re: voicemail question
Has anyone experienced not being able to play voice mail more than once? I have run into this on an SE and 7 phones. Double-tapping on the sender or play yields no results. Is this a IOS bug, or a carrier issue. Thanks in advance, Rick - Original Message - From: "Sieghard Weitzel" To: Sent: Wednesday, April 17, 2019 1:01 PM Subject: RE: voicemail question That is because you have basic voice mail and not visual voice mail. With basic voice mail you tap on the Call Voice Mail button, you then are connected to your voice mail where you can listen to your messages and press various buttons to delete a message, save it again etc. With visual voice mail after you go to the voice mail tab you are presented with something like an Inbox where any calls you received where the caller left a voice mail are displayed in a list. You can then tap on any of these and you can play the voice mail, read a transcript of the text (that often is very bad since iOS basically tries to understand whatever the caller says and then translates it into text) and you have buttons to delete the voice mail and maybe some others. If you have visual voice mail any messages you delete are placed in a deleted section where you can still recover them for a time if you wish. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Janet Bell Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2019 11:16 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: voicemail question Hi Anna, sorry for being a bit dim but when I go to my voicemail and have listened to a message I delete it unless I need it but I have never seen anything in the voicemail section other than call voicemail. Re: voicemail question
Hi, I have blocked some calls that I didn’t know the person. They can call back, and if they leave a voice mail, it will go in to blocked messages. I had to go in to my blocked messages and clear them, or delete them. Hopefully I didn’t confuse you. Verizon is our carrier. They helped us figure it out, and from time to time, we still have to go in and clear our blocked voicemail, even though we don’t get the calls because they have been blocked. Re: voicemail question
It may be that your plan only includes basic voicemail. In order to get more space on your voicemail, you may have to subscribe to a bigger plan, like extended voicemail or something like that. Check with your provider for your options. Re: voicemail question
Hi Denise, When you delete voicemail messages, they go into a holding area called Deleted Voicemail. You should find a button for it on the voicemail screen. Maybe you haven't deleted messages from there. If that's the case, open Deleted Voicemail. It includes a Clear All button you can use to empty everything out. RE: Visual voicemail question
Hi Doug, Visual Voicemail is a feature your carrier has to add to your account. I just signed up for it to try it and after it was added to my account I now just double tap the Voicemail tab at the bottom right of the Phone app and it's like an Inbox where my Voicemails are listed, there is a More button for each where I have buttons to call back etc. and of course there is a Play button, works like a charm. Re: a iPhone voicemail question
How do you enable visual voicemail, is that something say, Verizon needs to do, just curious. Thanks and take care. On Jul 10, 2013, at 4:33 PM, Lea Langley wrote: Hi, I have visual voicemail. voicemail question
Hello Listers, How would I go about leaving a voicemail for some one, with out actually calling the number. I remember when I had the haven I could call my own voicemail and press pound or star and I was able to dile the persons phone number and could leave them a voicemail that way. Now I am using the iPhone 4s and I can't seem to do that. Can some one please help? Thanks Michael Windows Live ID: mikeam...@earthlink.net e-mail: mikeam...@earthlink.net Skype ID: mikeameli John F. Re: voicemail question
Hi. Just a shot in the dark, but if you're a Verizon Wireless customer and you call someone from your iPhone it bypasses the new voice mail system. You get the old prompts and options you did with the Haven, so you can still send a message that way. Chocolate is the answer... who cares what the question is! Re: voicemail question
Woops, precoffee. . . I mean that if I call my mobile/iPhone number from my contacts, I get the old school voice mail system I had with Verizon before I switched to the iPhone. Once I've logged in, I can send a message to someone via this system by just entering their number and verifying it, etc. Chocolate is the answer... who cares what the question is! Re: voicemail question
Double-On the number one when you get to the keypad, and you will answer your regular voice mailbox. Go to the keypad in the phone app, and flicked to the number one. Then, perform a double-tap and hold gesture on it. This will open up your regular voicemail box.
