Well, having used SF for a couple of my projects for years now
I'd say that there is not much to maintain. The git is just as
git is, i.e. there's no additional maintenance effort involved
with that.

The BTS is something we may want. If that is the case, it's
supposed to save us time. I'm used to working with BTS, and I
like it better than maintaining BUGS files :)

With TRAC we'd also get a Wiki which integrates nicely with the
BTS and - once this is available - with the code in the git. I
used to work with it for several years while still in my last
company, and I really like it a great deal, it's simple and
helps developers organise.

I'm probably the one here who has contributed the least from all
of us here. Therefore I don't really want to convince people if
they feel differently. But as the question was raised, that's
what I think about it :)

Me too. I don't have problems with the current git, and I only request a
BTS because I think is better for us. But I don't have time to maintain
a BTS, webpage or git.

Other option is update a text file in the git, BUGS file? :-)

I admit I don't like getting involved in this kind of thing. But
from a pragmatical point of view, as long as we don't have
developers from those countries we can still provide most
contents to anyone through the web site.

As long as there is no usable alternative with the same
advantages but without those blacklists, I'd still vote yes for
SF.

Would not use the c-word here. Years ago, just at the time when
KDE came up as the first desktop environment in contrast to
window managers I was in charge of my university's computer
rooms. I set up the display managers to run WindowMaker as
default environment for Linux. Acceptance remained low as long
as the setup was close to default, i.e. no preconfigured dock
apps, no nice background image etc. Thus I think that as this
helps to make WM attractive to people, preconfigured desktops
are a nice thing. I have two or three setups which I like, thus
I could contribute them. Others may have different tastes. In
the end we'd come out with a gallery of different setups from
which ideally a user should be able to pick one and apply it.

No problem. I think PHP does not play a major role in the current
beta.windowmaker.org

I used it because Haroldo pointed out its 'include' capability,
(thanks, btw). The header, dock and CSS config are included in every
page using a PHP command. And that's it.

After you include them, it's plain html.

And you can do even half-baked work with the Themes page, it doesn't
need to be perfect from the start, not even good :-)

And if you can't create a dock icon (it's a bit tricky because
of the background used for the text, which matches exactly
the background in the body of the site), just send me a xpm
and I'll do it.

The nice thing is to get help, even infinitesimal amounts of it :-)

Yeah, do whatever you feel is better. The biggest problem
for me would be to actually write a php file displaying
screenshots and all that, so if you (or anyone else) feel
like doing that too, that will be great.

Thanks a lot.

Right, I'm sorry about that. I'm using

tidy -i -w 130 -m *.php

to have at least some formatting in the code, otherwise it becomes
really hard to read the mess and it simply looks ugly and disgusting.

But I'll remember to not use it on header.php and dock.php from now
on.

Thanks again.

Hi Carlos,
