Mad Mike created radicals hardcore dance titles that
nobody had done. This simple and repetitive type of techno

It's great to see this kind of positive coverage in the Freep, at last.
Especially for the Burdens, who deserve every bit of respect.
It was an honor to see Octave One playing live at the 430 West party,
but even better was seeing all the generations of the Burden family
at the underground stage

As I've said before, there is so much great music from Detroit, but the
Octave One sound is right at the heart of my approach as a DJ.
On Octave One talk, can anybody tell me what, if any, connection's
Drexciya/Octave One have? I know about the many Drexciya offshoots, but I
wonder if any of

big influence on hardcore/gabber. Living in hollland i read some interviews
with Paul Elstak, one of the innitiators of hardcore/gabber and he said that
the hard detroit techno tracks had a big influence on creation of

Some of UR's early stuff was played by UK hardcore
dj's back in the early 90's. I'm talking about early
hardcore tho... I heard Jumpin Jack Frost play a bit
of UR stuff back in the day and Grooverider, I'm sure
there were a few others too...
I'm not talking about gabber tho... I mean proper
Also check out More Brilliant than the Sun By Kodwo Eshun. I would say a
much more sophisticated and postmodern view of techno, electro, jungle, etc.
Has an excellent section on UR. I would recommend it over Techno
Rebels.

Some brief opinions:
I think UR are totally Hardcore due to the fact that they make
uncompromising music, that to me is the essence of what it is to be
hardcore - whereas what is tagged as hardcore is generally just mainstream
cheese sped up.
Just 'cos its fast don't make it hardcore

if you go www.priceline.com they usually have some online companies

price...which they will.. you'd still have to pay sales tax. The company
