Looks like T.O. is jumping on the free event by the waterfront
bandwagon.
It's a smaller fest, but looks very good nonetheless!
It runs from July 9-11
Music - July 9 (8 p.m. - CIBC Stage) - Jaga Jazzist (Norway)
Music - July 9 (3 p.m. - CIBC Stage) - Tortured Soul (NYC)
Music - July 9 (9:30 p.m.
been wondering why windsor hasn't done anything in the past 5 years.
or windsor and detroit getting together , but that would be a hassle for the
border folks

I was there as well and agree, it was a great night. They were both here
last summer
...and then not to be so cryptic: thursday night in LA was much the same.
even without The Wipe there were many times i felt like it was 1995 again...
woven together with some lovely clicketyboom stuff. great night.

It should be noted that legendary guitarist Robert Quine (most notably a
Voidoid, later played for Lou Reed) passed away last week, apparently via
suicide.
Didn't want to see it go unmentioned in the wake of other, perhaps more
identifiable, persons having passed recently.
Brilliant, manic

Thanks for that. Well written, too. It feels like Eric's finally
understood Detroit.
Or maybe just visited for the first time. More than B-Ball this

I've been using my ortofons for over 5 years now, and before that, i was
using stanton headshells/styli. I would reccomend avoiding the stantons,
as I have to use them sometimes in various clubs or things, and they
always seem to have the same issue with one channel or the other not
contacting

Raph,
Funny you mentioned the lick and wipe of the contacts. I do it,
that's why I mentioned the rust problem with the Ortos. Ya, I usually
keep a can of contact cleaner, except the damn can is never around
when I need it!!

I had no idea there were other people from DC/MD on this list! I'll
echo the praise, and add that I hope the crowd response from Friday
will convince the Buzzlife folks to book more techno in the future.
They already have Miss Kitten Selway coming next month...

Was anybody out there lucky enough to catch Terrence Parker at T:Funkshun
in Liverpool, UK on Friday ? Unfortunately, I couldn't make it myself.
Saw him play at the Feeling Moody 2 after-party during the Movement Fest;
a living legend. It's a pity he doesn't come over to these shores more
I experience the lick the contacts ONLY with stanton trackmaster IIs and
similar. The contacts on them are rounded and seem to lose contact after
only 3 months or so. I think that if you're having problems like that, it
may be self-propogating, or because you've had to do it - you have to
i'm definitely looking forward to selway and kitten. hawtin was a
good time, though i've seen him play much better sets. i'm new to
dc, but there is just no techno scene here is there?
btw, i've never before been to a venue where the guy doing the
search has a tip cup, lmfao
