I love Rick Wade but I did kinda feel this was a little bit too much
like some of his older stuff. No bad thing as I love that but I'd like
to see something a little different from him, y'know another twist.
Shamballa off that Yore 12 is still a killer track though so maybe I'm

I'm in Chicago for a couple of weeks from Thursday. Can any locals
recommend any parties? How about record shopping - I'll definitely be
going to Gramaphone and Mr Peabodys - anywhere else I should be
checking out?
Thanks
The new Dopplereffekt LP is out on Rephlex and it's more abstraction from Mr
Donald. I'm really enjoying this phase from him - you're not quite sure what to
expect with each release, and he's drifting further and further away from
beat-driven tracks.

does it have jazz/disco samples?
i like those old rick wades on harmonie park ok. they have a nice mood to them,
but they're pretty straight-forward sample-loop tracks and nothing that special
to me in the end. quality but pretty standard sample loop house stuff.

A new CD is coming out which comprises an album originally released on
Queen Constance records. This is, from all reports one of the very
earliest and most obscure NY disco labels, and the original vinyl
releases are crazy expensive on EBay.

Thanks for posting this, Kent - I hadn't had a chance to listen to it yet
at all, so having the samples via beatport/juno is great!

of good listenin at chromedecay.org. There are some at cornwarning.com
of mine too, but I need to reorganize the site and expose a bunch of
stuff I uploaded and haven't linked to except on my livejournal and
