You definitely want to hit Stormy, but make sure you get there before the
weekend because they close on Sunday and Monday that weekend. If you get in
touch with Windy she will go out of her way to give you a comprehensive
list of the remaining record stores in Detroit.

I’ve never found much IDM in Detroit but for those other genres I’d recommend
the following spots for vinyl (can’t really comment on CDs):
Stormy Records in Dearborn
Goth/Punk + plenty more rock vinyl
Record Collector in Ferndale
I’ve found quite a lot of very good condition old techno 12”s here
Techno- especially Detroit-related
Drum n Bass
Goth/Punk
IDM
I prefer CDs, but I do buy vinyl as well.

True, I noticed those CDN links on the old Soundcloud after having suggested that earlier. My problems with the new site are to do with some more secure streaming protocol. It's frustrating trying to share stuff this way and being additional problems. It doesn't appear to be getting better.On May 0
Nope, old SoundCloud used CDNs too. They round-robin between a few
different CDNs (at least on the new one), and if the CDN's edge node
near you is unreachable, then you lose!
