BTW, what is the status of the shirts?
anyone?

after the close of the submission process, i received
some late entries. tried to upload them and there were
problems ftp-ing them to the web site (premature end of file),
so i'll have to do what i usually do; keep saving the graphics
I'm sure you've already checked Herr X (Mister X) by Ultravox. Alleys of
your mind was heavily based on that record. (I wouldn't call it a copy, but
it comes close).
likewise Mr.X was heavily based on Kraftwerk's Hall of mirrors.
the thread has now come full circle :)

... a bit of Q A if you will ...
(ONE) An acquaintance claims the selections offered up on that Sonic Book CD
... a short
introduction
to KRAFTWERK are simply lifted from some dirty ol' vinyl... ist dieses so?
(in english: is this so?)
it's *much* worse than that! the tracks are not
more a hip-hop artist than techno, but how about M.C. Escher? :)
the question might be: which artist uses technology
to create art? someone like Warhol?
how about sampling/collage or found objects?
Duchamp and the surrealists?
how about cars? that guy who makes sculptures out of old car

ok, there's going to be some changes yet to
the t-shirts submissions; one graphic was
messed up, so i'll fix it; one person who
said they would submit designs had an
emergency, so i'll post theirs soon; and
since i'm breaking my own rules, i'll post
an extra design from one person submitted

tomorrow (sunday) will be the last day to submit
a design for the 313 list t-shirt, so if you haven't
started working on yours, you'd better hurry!
there are 20 so far!
see them at http://objektsynth.com/313/
i know there are more designs yet because people told
me they were going to send them.
Hey! Are we going to have some discussion about the designs before we
vote?
i hope so! :) some people were voting before we even
had half the entries up.
I have an ideagiven that i don't THINK we are getting our
tshirts/mugs/etc. from the same source, why do we only need ONE design?
as mentioned, today is the last day to submit
designs for the 313 list t-shirt. if there are
any more submissions, it will take me until
sometime tomorrow to slap them up on the web
site ( http://objektsynth.com/313/ )
only ones sent to me by midnight tonite (sunday),
detroit time, will be
i finally caught up with all the current submissions.
http://objektsynth.com/313/
from now on, will any designers interested in
submitting please stick to no larger than 300*300
pixels. i don't have time to make any more clickable
images or to resize them, and i'm running into enough
problems
entries keep pouring in, more and more as the june 11 deadline
looms closer.
there are so many, and i am so busy that i may not get all
the latest ones up today.
as usual, you can see them at http://objektsynth.com/313/
--eric
what's the url where the designs are? I've been too busy to keep up w/this
thread.
i've been posting it once a day. :)
http://objektsynth.com/313/
new designs will be accepted until sunday, june 11.
--eric
i spot a trend towards black and white designs. :)
see http://objektsynth.com/313/
keep them coming!
--eric
questionhow many colors on the design?
it's up to us.
i know of one source that will do full color for $10.99.
there may be others that will do fewer colors for less money,
so you might want to create more than one version.
--eric
wow! the day after asking for entries,
i received the first one. so i set up a web page
at http://objektsynth.com/313/ go have a look.
Damn that's really cool... put me down for two too!! :)
we are not anywhere near taking orders yet. :)

i think a maximum size of 300 pixels tall or wide
works well. designers; if you send a larger image
it can be make clickable like entry 1, but it will
take a bit
And the glasses, don't forget the glasses.
both skinny and bald.

whats
while at the demf i hardly recognized anybody
from the 313 list, and i figure others may be in
the same boat. so how about a 313 list t-shirt
so members can better recognize each other at
such occasions? the design would probably be
something simple and based around the text

hmm. yeah i HATE big t-shirts, like 'em snug. they need to be a different
style to fit the female form.
when i mentioned up to xl size i meant that
this company does smaller sizes, all the way down
to kids-small, just no larger than adult xl.
how about... *grin* doing
here's how i'd like to proceed:
designers e-mail me, *not the list*,
with a url to an image file or an attachment.
format should be gif, jpeg, or png.
size for initial submissions should be low-res,
no larger than 200 pixels tall or wide.
i'll slap them up on a web page and give
out the url as

I do! :)

I got this recently after ordering the new Kraftwerk CD of old
material;
Hi there
It has come to our attention that the new Kraftwerk CD/Book A Short
Introduction To Kraftwerk is a OFFICIAL Sonic Books release of what may be
previously released bootleg material, and not new unearthed studio

you really should be using BeOS. :)
