One of the best sources I know of is Techno : The rough Guide by Tim
Barr. Every third page features either a Detroit techno artist or a
reference to Detroit techno.
Theres also The All Music Guide to Techno (which I dont have, but I have
seen it couple of times. anyone have an extra copy?)

so. I went to see 8Mile yesterday (okay. first showing on opening day. I
know. I'm a geek :^). It's actually a much better movie than I expected it

Off the top of my head: Gerard released 2 Convextion singles and an E.R.P
(Event Related Potential) e.p. on Matrix. He also appears on the Digital
Sects 2 compilation (I think). I think there was a record on HardSync and a
few others I cant recall at the moment. Who is the designated Gerard Hanson
just to clear up any confusion:
the MayDay mix *was* done live. the *edits* were done later on a computer
(and a bit of little known trivia: the edits were done by Kenny Larkin.) For
me the edits dont in any way take away from the brillance of this mix.

I've always thought a Caberet, in the Detroit tense, was an all night party
at a rental hall that doesnt have a license to sell liquor, so they get
around this by other means. Usually charging a huge cover and giving away
the booze or having patrons B.Y.O.B (bring your own bottle). It was a
given
