I don't think this is a bad idea at all. Why not? The risk is minimal compared to vinyl, it's a little extra money to help keep the label alive, and there are some people (like Joe) for whom it is a better solution. I agree the marketing of it is a bit silly, but so what? Most marketing is silly.
