Sometimes when people went all quiet I posted something just to get a
discussion going, but I've decided that as list admin it's kind of a

about Detroit Techno has been said already on this
Lets talk about live sets for a change - who are your favourite Detroit
live artists why?
I saw Rob Hood live recently and was pretty disappointed - he was doing
the whole 'play one track, stop, reprogram, play another track' thing.
A lot of detroit artists seem to do that, performing

i saw octave one twice and i liked it very much and they played just the
older stuff.. once i saw kevin saundersson and it seemed it was just
playback with posing.. but hey, plastikman will do a live show again. :P

Home this Saturday in Detroit. Also love Octave One and Scan 7. I

I caught Dan Bell doing his live set on Sunday. heres a video

playing all hardware. I saw a pro one, 909, rackmount sampler and mixing
desk. The set was faithful reproductions of all the dbx classics with
live vocals.
Going on ten years now, but Theorem sticks in the mind as one of the most
satisfying and sonically involving live techno acts I've witnessed, partly
due to the warmth of personality/sound he generated. No flash, all the
fireworks were in the music.
