I don't know if it's mixed with vinyl, or some software mixing, but the
Tanks A Lot mix cd that came free with a recent Brinkmann record is
absolutely blinding! yeah mayer

I don't think so. I'm sure also, that I read some feedback on this list abt
Brinkmann djing once ... I understand that he's got some eccentric
techniques ...

Again...it's 'mixed' by Urus Martan whoever he is;-)
Thomas Brinkmann does dj. He uses dual-tonearm decks and throws in records with
geometrical scratches that he uses to create rhythms.
Here's an interview with the good man:

around this time.
TT: You just mentioned disappearing and reappearing. At Sonar I
was Mills mixing
live, though it wasn't the most inspiring of sets

In Losts defense I've got to say that I think it's cool that they did
something different from the norm. I wasn't there so I can't judge for sure
but I think you're being a little harsh.

I remember jon moore playing a hip hop version of the day the teddy bears
had their picnic - what a mad tune, everyone with big smiles on their faces
bouncing about to that one. Yeah the house at the end was great - I
remember the morgan geist remix of disco train and a metro area track.
IMHO

I was there when he did it at Sonar too. Personally I think although it's
good that he's experimenting, it's still better to have the DJ there in
front of you - the closer to the crowd the better. One of the good things
about the previous Lost (@ The Chainstore) was seeing how much Jeff was
Lost was pretty cool night no doubt, great atmosphere, better venue then
heaven, except for one thing. I was dancing around then i saw Jeff on the
screen, went closer to the front and noticed he was actually wearing a
different shirt to the video. The music was in time with the video and fader
the DVD segments were pre-recorded - the rest was Mills mixing
live, though it wasn't the most inspiring of sets
