Good question. When any food's being shared, a totally blind person may not
know how much to take as he or she may not know the total quantity of the
food available. In such situations, I probably think communication is our
best bet. May be we could talk to our sighted friends about these things
Braille labels on seats/births are useful to many people. all are not good
in counting, and even you are good at it, you cannot do it always as you may
not be knowing the starting numbered seat. additionally, the number may be
different if you get in through front, middle, or back door. in case

Harish has given a good list of recommendations. to add a few,
1. while announcing the train shortly arriving into the station, they should
announce the position of disabled coach.
2. instead of Braille labels, making audio announcement of coach number
putting speakers at the doors of coaches
by the time they are able to find it, the timetable would be completely
outdated. (smiles)

Thank you, everyone, for your responses.
As far as the food-related query is concerned, I don't think I
explained myself all that well.
The quantity of the food is indeed a pertinent matter, but I deal with
it by having only what is offered to me.
After that, if I am offered more food, I try to

Converting epub files to text may be accessible; but it is not an
efficient solution.
Epub files are a set of HTML files. So change the file extension of
epub to “zip”; (rar does not work). Open with WinZip; still best is
WinRAR because it extracts all the interlinked files when one html is

I feel this will help visually impaired people to find the right
coatch quickly as reading braille lables and moving in another
direction always hassel and there is a possibility
